One of the best food streets, varieties of food available , go there with a gang and have fun, try fire pan there it’s awesome and very different experience to have there. Online payment might not be available at most of restaurant so better take cash to make it quick and more reliable. Try coconut milk shake as well. It’s nice and quite different taste. All over its a nice first experience..:-)

My family and I stumbled upon VV puram food street on Wednesday evening and what expecting the street to be a mile long, which it wasn’t. IMA hardcore foodie with huge appetite show the lack of variety was a little disappointing, and I hope and guess that this was because we visited the place on a weekday. everything we tasted was pretty amazing and I will definitely recommend anybody and everybody to visit this place to quench their vegetarian hankering.

Got to taste variety of street foods @VVPURAM. Was not in full swing though as I was a first timer there… Thought were going on all the time during the ride, what will I do if the items were non veg and I won’t get to taste Unfortunately it’s a very small street with full of stalls and shops serving only veg items.. Dint even notice served there. புரட்டாசி சனிக்கிழமை வேற… நவராத்திரியும் Started with Chat ~ Nippat Masala.. I guess the shop name is Srinivasa Bangarpet Chats.. Charged me ₹30/- worth the price as the Nippat was so soft and crunchy with grated onions, carrot, karaboondhi, pori(bhel). Then walked a few feet and this liquid nitrogen cheese wafers smoking tempted me.. But was not keen on it today and so stepped away and noticed that there were lots of chats around to choose from and the boring spring potato deep fried. The color gave me signs not to taste it today so walked past those shops and Pheni caught my eyes and basundhi and jalebi and hot cold badam milk.. Tempted and cautious that having them right away will not let others to set in my Tummy moved off saying வந்து பார்த்துக்கலாம் Then came this Nandini Pure Ghee Dosa… Had lots of Avarebele items so ordered Avarebele Dosa and Avarebele Holige.. ₹60 & ₹20 each. Dosa was loaded with onion and Avare. Nice treat for my hungry eyes and Tummy yet the flavor of Ghee masked all other flavors which was a turn off for me. Holige was yummy and the ghee added real flavor to it. . Took a few steps and found the Bajji shop which had the regulars yet Capsicum and captured my eyes so I had them served Each ₹20. Capsicum was good and liked the half cooked taste with the hint of mint spicy Chutney and onions+carrot toppings Pineapple was simply A must try. He added Chutney, chilli+salt powder and stuffed it with shredded onions and carrots. All the flavors were Took a Uturn and my legs knew which is the next spot than my tongue… Pheni with Hot Badam Milk it was. Had it after decades maybe.. . Was slurpy and little less sugary so enjoyed it. Yet was not happy with the badam milk cos despite the way it was boiling it was thinner to taste. . Thoughts of dumping in Jalebi and Basundhi were haunting me but controlled myself saying we shall always come back Then before I went to take the bike from parking Kulfi stopped my from takin left to the bike and marched right. And there he was who served a awesome Malai Kulfi which just melted. I could feel full milk cream which was so soft unlike other kulfi sticks which were harder and took longer time to melt. இன்னைக்கு அவ்ளோ தான்… தொடரும்

Olive Cafe has been our all-time favourite hangout spot in Kammanahalli. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to because of its consistently great food, affordable pricing, and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re catching up with friends or grabbing a quick bite, Olive Cafe never disappoints. One of the standout dishes that keeps us hooked is the Porotta Chicken Lays Roll — a delicious and unique combination that hits the spot every single time. It’s become a tradition for us to order it every time we visit. Over the years, we’ve tried a variety of items from their menu, and everything is reasonably priced, making it one of the most budget-friendly options in the area. Recently, we noticed the cafe has gone through a renovation, and it looks even better now. The new interior design is minimal yet aesthetic, giving the place a fresh, modern vibe without losing its charm. Despite being almost always crowded (a sign of how popular it is), the staff manages to maintain good service, and the wait times are usually reasonable. If you’re in or around Kammanahalli, Olive Cafe is definitely worth a visit. Great food, great vibe, and great value — it checks all the boxes!

Olive Street Food Cafe is a great spot for quick and budget-friendly bites. The ambience is good, and the place is always neat and clean. Service is efficient, even though it gets quite crowded, especially on weekends. I’ve been visiting this cafe for years, and they offer a wide variety of burgers, sandwiches, rolls, and fresh juices. The biggest highlight is the pricing—most of the items are available for under ₹100, making it an excellent choice for affordable yet tasty food. If you’re looking for a pocket-friendly place with good food and a clean environment, this is definitely worth a visit!

A fantastic spot for quick snacks and savories! While I usually visit the BTM Layout branch, which is top-notch, this branch also impresses—though slightly below BTM’s standards, it’s still amazing. The Jumbo King Roll, milkshakes, and Grilled Lays Paratha are must-try items here. The seating is comfortable, though not as spacious as the BTM Layout branch. One standout feature is the quality of the milkshake cups—sturdy, reusable, and sealable plastic cups, which add a nice touch. Service is fast, and the staff is kind and humble, making the experience even better. Parking is conveniently available nearby.

Good place to grab sandwiches, juice and chat items in jayanagar. They have variety of sandwiches , we tried corn, chocolate sandwich which tasted good. Crowed during weekends expect some waiting time. Limited parking. Suggestion to owner- try to provide caps and some ventilation to workers inside as we can see they are sweating and sweat drops are spilling on food service area( might fall into food unintentionally)

Hari Super Sandwich is a go-to spot for quick bites with a mix of unique flavors. The chocolate sandwich is a crowd favorite, while the masala puri and corn sandwich are perfect too. Items like tawa pulao and bhel puri bring a fresh twist to the classics. We tried all of them and were good enough to come back again. However, the vada pav fell short, as it was heated in a microwave, losing its authentic charm. This is definitely solid choice for snacks, except for a few misses. The price is affordable too.

A good outdoor outlet for evening snacks. It is centrally located and pocket friendly. Usually crowded but the service is quick. Ordered American corn sandwich which was 10/10 (little spicy), Bhelpuri 10/10 and a mixed flavour ice-cream. Anybody who’s not willing to spend too much on fancy dinners and want something tangy and light can go for this place.

Iftar fest @frazertown Even though the fest is not happening this year(2024) Frazer Town is still open with a number of stalls serving delicious culinary this time. The stalls here are much affordable compared to koramangala, and is pretty neat and clean compared with that in Shivaji Nagar. We tried sheik andhariyali kebabs, lemon chicken and few juice varieties like mohbath ka sharbath and kannur cocktail. Much more to try there including the Ramadan special mutton haleem. Our tummies were so full that we couldn’t try them all. Awaiting to try more next time. Please do check it out.

As the sun begins its descent, the food stalls lining either side of Mosque Road enliven the atmosphere with delicacies of different colours, smells, textures, and tastes. Even the sounds that some foods make — like the crackling hiss of meat getting fried and the splash of colourful drinks getting poured onto glasses — attract our attention. It is an all-out assault on all the senses. “When the pandemic hit, everything was deserted here. There was not much happening in 2020 and 2021. Even last year, after the lockdowns lifted, it was 50% of the usual crowd. But this year, it’s back to normal,” says food content creator Zafir Syed, a regular at Frazer Town iftar walks. When he moved from Mumbai to Bengaluru eight years ago, he thought he would miss the city’s beloved food street at Mohammed Ali Road. “Fortunately, I found Frazer Town,” he smiles, “Every year you find something new to eat here.” One of the latest additions to Mosque Road is Noorie’s Multicuisine Kitchen, which specialises in Hyderabadi cuisine. Run by Noorie and her husband Imran Sait, it offers unique Hyderabadi savouries like shikamuri kebab and mutton kofta, apart from the usual dishes like haleem.

We visited Mosque road during ramzan time. They say it’s best to visit this place during Ramadan time as you find varieties of foods here. The place is overly crowded this time and lots of waste is dumped on the road. I wish they had taken the right measure to manage the garbage which would have made the food Street experience a lot more good .It will be a feast for non vegetarian food lovers. It’s better to visit the place in groups so that various foods can be tasted. Also, you will see lots of delicious milk desserts which are a must to eat. Don’t forget to try the different varieties of teas . There was a food mela happening at one place here and we couldn’t even step inside because of too much of a crowd. Overall a nice experience.

If you’re craving authentic, flavorful street food, Snack the Street Food is the place to be! Located in the heart of the city, this vibrant eatery captures the essence of bustling street food culture, offering an impressive variety of snacks from around the world. I started with their signature Masala puri, which was an explosion of tangy, spicy flavors—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of crunch. The service was friendly and efficient. The staff was quick to recommend dishes based on my preferences and answered any questions about the ingredients. Plus, the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portions you get. If you’re in the mood for some authentic street food, Snack the Street Food will not disappoint. It’s casual, flavorful, and an absolute treat for anyone who loves bold, zesty flavors in a laid-back setting.

This so-called restaurant offers Chinese, continental, and Indian dishes, but they got it all wrong! We ended up shelling out around ₹500 for 4 Chinese meals, and let me tell you, it was a total letdown. My wife almost hurled after tasting the pan-fried noodles drenched in their bland sauce. Seriously, they skimped on everything—no salt, no spices, nothing! I absolutely DO NOT recommend them to anyone.

The place is okok since the food street area and the road is very small can’t able to walk freely in that Ramzan Food Mela road it’s really crowded and it’s very hot in there both due to overcrowded and stove burners heat made us like walk in hell and food tasted normal and some food tasted below average also if your thinking about tasting meat don’t expect here it’s useless and overrated not worth for money. Definitely must try beverage is Mango kulki it was super .

A fantastic spot for a Ramadan night out, with a vibrant atmosphere, multiple barbecues, and a wide variety of dishes at reasonable prices. The special camel barbecue was a standout, and the kunafa was perfectly crispy and rich. However, the Hyderabadi Haleem was disappointing—it didn’t come close to the authentic taste, which was a letdown as a Hyderabadi. Despite that, the overall experience was great, with quick service and a lively crowd making it a must-visit during Ramadan.

Koramangala Food Street is a dynamic culinary hub, drawing in foodies with its endless variety and buzzing energy. As a visitor, the first thing you notice is the mix of aromas—freshly brewed filter coffee, spicy kebabs on the grill, and sweet waffles being drizzled with chocolate. The street is lined with everything from hole-in-the-wall eateries and trendy food trucks to high-end restaurants, making it a go-to spot for all budgets. Whether you’re savoring a plate of buttery shawarma, indulging in crispy pani puri from a local vendor, or trying out gourmet sushi, the choices are overwhelming in the best way. The area thrives with students, tech professionals, and tourists, all adding to its vibrant atmosphere. By evening, the street transforms into a lively food haven, with neon lights reflecting off steaming plates and people hopping from one stall to another, eager to try the next delicious bite. It’s more than just a place to eat—it’s an experience of flavors, culture, and community.

Food quality, taste, ambience, is really bad. Expensive, not worth it. Chicken maida roll – 250/- Mutton Haleem – 400/- Mutton chops – 280/-(old mutton felt like I was chewing rubber) Shahi Tukda – 120 For street food it’s quite expensive

So many options you can choose from. You will find all kinds of cuisines at all price ranges. Extremely crowded atmosphere but definitely worth the vibe. Just make sure you don’t have any commitments, because it’s uncertain how long it’ll take you to get a seat and get your food served depending on the restaurant, though most places are quick.

It was a weekend with a large crowd of visitors. Comparatively costly still I felt worthy of the money. There was a variety of dishes and I hope you also will enjoy the visit. Recommended: Beef, camel and prawns items. Sweet: Carmel pudding and baklawa. Juices: Mohabbat ka sarbath Haleem.

Worst experience I ever had, I was in Rush so I ordered chole bhature which usually take less time but here the things are different the more you order the more quicker you’ll get your food, no matter when you order. If I order chole bhature and the other customer order 3 4 dishes he will get his order before me that what I experiences. I was running out of my time so I asked to cancel my order and for refund but they were not ready to give me refund instead they ask me to wait for few more minutes, where I already wasted my 40 minutes. Any how they were not ready to give me refund at last I came without my order and refund because it was my mistake I trust and pay for my order. As a local guide I will never suggest to anyone to visit this outlet any where.

Chicken smells so bad that it’s hard to eat, and chole bhature is also difficult to consume due to its heaviness.

The street food is it self enough, and the bonus is the taste of punjab foods. Your cravings will not stop until you order a dish from here. The lassi was just like you get in north india. I rarely find such perfect lassi anywhere here. The food had great taste of masala and spices. Must try!!

We’re regular visitors to Mantri Mall, and without fail, we always order the Chole Bhature when we visit. It’s been a consistent favorite due to its delicious taste. However, on our recent visit, something seemed off. The flavor of the Chole had changed, and the Bhature were unusually thick. What disappointed us the most was that they served a relatively small portion of Chole for those two large Bhature. It left us with a sense of disappointment. Perhaps it was just an off day for them. “Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. I hope you found them helpful. It’s important to keep in mind that these are my personal food preferences, and the food’s flavor can vary from day to day, possibly even improving or changing over time.”

Try the chicken warp and mojito and fruit beer Street Food by Punjabi Grills is a hidden gem for all the food enthusiasts out there. Nestled in the heart of the city, this food stall offers a taste of Punjab that is sure to leave your taste buds singing with delight. From the moment you approach the stall, the aroma of sizzling spices and grilled meats wafts through the air, tantalizing your senses. The menu boasts a wide array of street food delicacies, each bursting with authentic Punjabi flavors. One of the must-try dishes is their famous Butter Chicken Naan Wrap. The succulent pieces of tandoori chicken are perfectly cooked and smothered in a rich, creamy butter chicken sauce. The wrap is then filled with fresh vegetables and rolled in a warm, fluffy naan. The combination of flavors and textures is absolutely divine. Another standout item is their Chole Bhature. The fluffy, deep-fried bhature (bread) pairs perfectly with the spicy and tangy chole (chickpea curry). The dish is served with pickles and onions, adding an extra punch of flavor. The portions are generous, and the prices are affordable, making it an excellent choice for a quick and satisfying meal. The stall is always bustling with customers, a testament to the popularity and quality of their food. The staff at Street Food by Punjabi Grills is friendly and welcoming, ensuring that every customer is well taken care of. They are happy to explain the dishes and make recommendations based on your preferences. One slight drawback is the limited seating options as it is primarily a street food stall. However, the food is so delicious that you won’t mind standing or finding a nearby spot to enjoy your meal. If you’re a fan of Punjabi cuisine or simply love indulging in flavorful street food, Street Food by Punjabi Grills is a must-visit. The authentic flavors, generous portions, and friendly atmosphere combine to create an unforgettable culinary experience.

Nice experience for vegetarians and especially for North Indian folks as it contains culinary cuisines and large variety of north indian items. There is one shop which serves matka rabdi, believe me you will not find such refreshing and great rabdi in whole Bengaluru. It was so fresh and subtle sweet. You can have it with jalebi and gulab jamun too. You can try wadapav too there but honestly that was okayish only, instead you can opt for dabeli there which is better. I tried : Matka rabdi (80 rs per plate) Aloo tikki chaat (60) Flavoured pani puri (30) Rabdi kulfi (40) (ps: don’t eat at the last stall of street) Vadapav (50 for 2 pcs)

I recently visited Royal Food Street for dinner and evening snacks, and I was impressed with the quality and affordability of their food. The service was decent, but the real star of the show was the diverse range of options available. *Must-Try Items* *Buttermilk*: Refreshing and creamy, a perfect accompaniment to their spicy dishes. *Gobi Manchurian*: Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. *Chicken Biryani*: Aromatic, flavorful, and generously portioned. *Chicken Kati Roll*: Soft, juicy, and full of flavor. *Shawarma*: Tender, spicy, and satisfying. Good food quality Minimal prices Plenty of options (Chinese, non-veg, and veg) Service could be improved Overall, I’d definitely recommend Royal Food Street for a delicious and affordable evening snack time experience.

Frequently Asked Questions about Street Food in Bangalore

Is street food in Bangalore safe to eat?

The safety of street food is a common concern. While Bangalore generally has decent food safety standards, it's always a good practice to be cautious. Look for stalls with high customer turnover, which indicates freshness. Hygiene practices, like the vendor using gloves and clean utensils, are positive signs. Observe the overall cleanliness of the stall and the surrounding area. Reputable stalls often have established procedures.

What are some of the most popular street food items in Bangalore?

Bangalore boasts a wide array of delicious street food options. Some of the most popular items include masala dosa, bisi bele bath, pani puri, chow chow bath, vada pav, and puri selari. Each dish offers a unique flavor profile and showcases the region’s culinary heritage. Local specialties are well worth exploring.

Where are the best places to find street food in Bangalore?

Several areas in Bangalore are renowned for their street food. VV Puram Food Street is arguably the most famous, but areas like Indiranagar, Koramangala, and Jayanagar also offer numerous stalls. Many smaller neighborhoods have their own hidden gems – a little exploration can lead to delightful discoveries. Keep an eye out for areas with large crowds – these usually indicate good food quality.

What is the average cost of street food in Bangalore?

One of the best things about Bangalore street food is its affordability. Most items typically cost between ₹30 and ₹150. A hearty meal can easily be had for under ₹200. Prices can vary slightly depending on the location and the vendor, but it generally represents exceptional value for money.

What is 'Bisi Bele Bath' and why is it so popular?

'Bisi Bele Bath' is a quintessential Karnataka dish consisting of rice, lentils, vegetables, and a blend of aromatic spices. The name literally translates to "hot lentil rice." It’s incredibly popular due to its rich flavor, nutritional value, and convenience – it's a complete meal in itself. The spiced aroma alone is often enough to draw people in.

Are there any specific hygiene tips I should follow when eating street food?

To maximize safety, look for stalls with clean water sources, and watch how the food is prepared. Avoid stalls where food is left uncovered for long periods. Using your own cutlery (if possible) is a good practice. Drinking bottled water is also a smart precaution. Observing vendor practices is key.

How does the taste of Bangalore street food compare to other Indian cities?

While Indian street food is generally flavorful, Bangalore's has a distinct character. It often leans towards milder spices compared to cities like Delhi or Mumbai. The emphasis is often on the freshness of the ingredients and a more balanced flavor profile. The influence of Karnataka cuisine is evident.

Are there any particular times of day when street food is best available?

While many stalls operate throughout the day, evenings are generally the busiest and offer the widest variety of options. Many stalls start setting up around 4:00 PM and remain open until late at night. Weekends are especially lively, with increased activity and crowds. Early morning breakfasts are also a possibility at some locations.

Can I find authentic Karnataka street food experiences?

Yes, absolutely! Seek out stalls that specialize in traditional Karnataka dishes. Look for the familiar names - 'Karnataka Meals,' 'Thatte Idli,' and ‘Ragi Mudde' are good indicators. These experiences offer a glimpse into the region’s rich culinary heritage and provide a more authentic taste of Bangalore.
