Fenny’s Lounge & Kitchen offers a unique dining experience, immediately setting itself apart with its focus on face-to-face interaction. The deliberate absence of readily available WiFi encourages connection and conversation, fostering a pleasant atmosphere. The design itself is thoughtfully curated, creating a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment, perfect for gatherings.
The food is a real highlight, with a diverse menu catering to varied tastes. The BBQ wings are a consistent favourite, praised for their flavorful preparation. Pizzas also receive high marks, particularly those featuring high-quality ingredients and a satisfyingly crispy crust. Service is generally attentive, though a more streamlined ordering system could further enhance the overall visit, focusing on bringing dishes one at a time for a more enjoyable meal.

Customer Reviews
I visited this place with my friend on a Sunday evening. It was raining heavily so the ambience was cool. There was ample space so we occupied the seat of our choice.
The interior is very pretty, and the best thing they are promoting is NO USE OF MOBILE. They feel that people should communicate rather than being occupied with mobile.
We ordered Veg Sizzlers, Pizza and Mocktails. We felt the taste of Sizzlers better than the Pizza. The order arrived quite quickly but we were served everything together, so unfortunately food became cold as well. The only request from staff is to bring one thing at a time so that the person can enjoy the meals hot.

Disappointing Experience – Poor Food Quality and Lack of Hospitality
We visited Fenny’s on a weekday, hoping for a quieter atmosphere to enjoy a family birthday celebration. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be quite disappointing.
We placed order with multiple items, but were surprised to find that the chicken platter served was undercooked. While it was described as a barbecue dish, it felt more like it was cooked on a gas stove, lacking the expected texture and flavor. The chicken appeared fine on the outside, but was noticeably raw on the inside. We immediately flagged this to the staff through the app, but received no meaningful response or follow-up, which was quite concerning.
Additionally, we were seated in a top lounge area meant for a small group, but found our space disrupted when a large air cooler was being transported and temporarily stationed right next to us. This unexpected activity affected our privacy and comfort, especially during what was meant to be a special celebration.
Service throughout was slow and unresponsive, even with repeated calls for assistance via the app. On a weekday, we expected a more attentive and hospitable experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
This visit fell short of expectations in both food quality and customer service. While the ambiance initially felt promising, the overall execution did not reflect the standards one would hope for. I sincerely hope the management takes feedback seriously and works toward improving both food preparation and the dining experience for future guests.
Fluent Observations (☆ 1/5)

Fenny’s is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food in a cozy yet vibrant setting. The restaurant offers a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. Adding to the experience is their unique ordering system, which allows each member of the party to browse and order their favorite dishes individually while keeping the bill unified—a fun and convenient touch.
The Food Experience
We had a variety of dishes, and overall, the experience was outstanding.
⭐ The Star of the Night: Fenny’s BBQ Wings
The absolute best dish was undoubtedly the BBQ Chicken Wings. They were finger-licking good, perfectly cooked, and packed with incredible flavor. In fact, we loved them so much that after ordering three plates initially, we went ahead and ordered three more—yes, they were THAT good!
The Pizza Selection
All the pizzas we tried were excellent, with a perfectly crispy thin crust and high-quality toppings. We had the Chicken pepperoni pizza, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Fenny spicy Chicken Pizza, but the Fenny spicy Chicken Pizza stood out as the best among them. The balance of flavors and the crunch of the crust made it a must-try.
The Steaks & Supreme Chicken
Both the Manzo Pambani Steak and the Fish Steak in Chunky Sauce were cooked to perfection, with the meats being tender and flavorful. The Supreme Chicken with Mushroom Sauce was also delicious, with a creamy and well-balanced sauce complementing the dish beautifully.
Sides & Dessert
The Crispy Potato Wedges were a great side, well-seasoned, and crunchy. To end on a sweet note, the Walnut Sizzler Brownie was a fantastic choice—warm, gooey, and absolutely indulgent.
Final Verdict
Fenny’s is a must-visit if you love good food, a relaxed ambiance, and a cool, tech-savvy ordering experience. While the BBQ prawns missed the mark, everything else was delightful, especially the BBQ wings and pizzas. Highly recommended!

A beautiful roof top resto bar. The ambiance is awesome. When sitting there we can feel that we are in a rustic cafe near the meditaranian cliff.
They perfectly blend the Color pallette texture and furniture in this area.
The food is awesome, especially their meat pizza. I’m a huge fan of their pizza and I visited three times this restaurant to try that one.
amelia peter (☆ 5/5)

Our team had been here for a team lunch, had good varieties of options for both Veg as well as non-veg.
They served and treated well, the taste was great too, the place had some great views and ambience is amazing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend this place for team lunches and also personal meet ups.
Manjesh C V (☆ 5/5)

Comedy: The most funny thing which I found here is, at the entrance itself they have a chalkboard which states “No WiFi, talk to each other” (pic attached). But they will play such a loud music that you literally have to scream to the other person for them to listen to you
Food: Their non-veg sizzler was really good. Must try!
Atmosphere: As stated above, they really need to reduce the volume of the music a bit. It becomes challenging to converse. But, it’s a good place overall!
Service: For the initial 15 min, nobody came to discuss our order. I had to go to them and call them to our table.
Divyank Rastogi (☆ 4/5)

I loved Fenny’s…the space is huge, open, breathable..I loved their chicken-taco salad and butter grilled fish. Lovely dishes.

A recurring theme points to a pleasant ambience, perfect for a casual evening out. They’s a commitment to consistently deliver well-prepared dishes, including their pastas. When we recently visited Indiranagar we had Lunch at
Pasta Street – Indiranagar.
Cheese Garlic Bread was soft . Cheese spread on top of the bread was hot and fresh.
Cream of Broccoli Soup was good. For me it was bit less spicy.
Peri Peri Potato Wedges with mayonnaise sauce was Spicy and Tangy, Must Try.
Barbeque Paneer Pizza Thin Crust was good.
sridhar k adhisheshaiah (☆ 5/5)

I had chicken carbonara pasta and lamb pepperoni pizza here, both were quite average tbvh. The pasta was like any other basic white sauce pasta, and chicken bacon in it was very less compared to the price. Will rate the pasta 2.5/5. The pizzas are thin crust so it is very hard and can hurt your gums (it surely hurt mine). The taste was different than usual pizzas as it had green chillies, making it spicy, will rate this 3/5. Overall I felt the food is very overpriced. Seating options are indoors and outdoors as well with a decent ambience.
shreela baroi (☆ 3/5)

Everything was so awesome.Pizza was great . I never ever had such tasty pizza in my entire life.
Their pastas were great. And Belgium chocolate cake was also awesome. Every preparation was awesome .Special thanks to chef and ofcourse to other staff as well. I would highly recommend this place who are pizza and pasta lovers. But i wont suggest this place to health conscious girls as they end up overeating. The tase is so awesome that u cant resist yourself… ❤️❤️
I am loving it.
ayushi gupta (☆ 5/5)

Good ambience, good flavours of food. Live upto their name. Good options for Wine as well.
Would suggest mostly all the things over menu. I had spaghetti in primavera sauce, a mix sauce pasta, tasted real good and their famous tomato bruschetta. With this would recommend their iced cold coffee with vanilla flavour.
Kriti Jain (☆ 4/5)

This is my go to Italian place. I have been a regular customer Since 2016.
Yes the prices have shot up but the service, quality and quantity have not dropped a bit.
This is a restaurant where the staff acknowledge their errors and apologize.
Once, they even gave me a complimentary dish as parcel even though I didn’t ask for it.
It is restaurant where i heard very less complains abt and everyone seems to be happy.
Akshay Kumar (☆ 5/5)

Ambience of pasta street restaurant is really good. It gives posh italian restaurant vibes.
Had veg lasagna and blueberry cheesecake. Lasagne is good, although it can be made tastier. Tomato in lasagna needed to be cooked a little more. Blueberry cheesecake i had it delivered via swiggy; but the topping was melted. Generally, majority of restaurants delivers cheesecake in a jar. But this restaurant delivered in a box and the structure was impacted hence. Attaching photos.
Shruti Gupta (☆ 4/5)

We ordered mocktail which was full of very strong artificial syrup, our tongue turned colour.
Pasta was overcooked and very salty.
Tiramisu was very much frozen. It was like eating an hard ice cream than a dessert.
Only pizza was good.

Chianti offers a reliably pleasant dining experience. The service is generally quite attentive and swift, a notable strength when considering the popularity of the establishment. There’s a consistent effort to ensure patrons feel well taken care of, which contributes significantly to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The complimentary bread served upon arrival sets a positive tone, showcasing a welcome gesture from the staff.
The menu features a selection of classic Italian dishes, with a commitment to fresh ingredients. Many appreciate the quality of the pasta, and the desserts are frequently lauded as highlights. While prices are situated on the higher end, it is often perceived as justifiable given the attentive service and the overall ambience. It’s a great place to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine.

The food was tasty, but the prices are a bit on the higher side. They give a box of bread with pesto butter as complement, the butter was amazing . Both the pizzas we ordered were good, but the tiramisu stole the show. It was one of the best i have had. The overall experience was nice, 4/5.
akshay bangera (☆ 4/5)

Chianti is one of the best Italian restaurants in Bangalore.
It is one of those places which have stood the test of time.
Recently visited the place after 7 years and the quality of food and service is still top notch.
The ambience is classic and the place nicely decorated with wall paintings and beautiful lights.
The seating is comfortable.
Service is quick and responded well to our needs.
We tried Margherita fritta, chicken Ravioli Pasta, grilled fish and pannacotta.
All the dishes were top notch and we totally loved our meal.
tarun saxena (☆ 5/5)

I recently visited this restaurant for dinner with my office colleagues, and the experience was a mix of positives and negatives. Ambience: Decent, offering a comfortable setting suitable for casual hangouts or a date. Service: Good, with attentive staff, but the service was a bit slow. Food: Average; while we ordered a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Italian dishes, only the fried fish and chocolate with vanilla ice cream stood out as enjoyable. Overall: A decent place to chill, but nothing extraordinary in terms of food quality or uniqueness.
sarbajit biswas (☆ 4/5)

Loved the complimentary bread basket. Softest bread ever had. Pizza and lasagne were good too. Overall it was great. A little on the expensive side. But definitely good food.
Chandana Velloth (☆ 5/5)

I recently dined at Chianti in Indiranagar, a popular Italian restaurant that had been on my list for a while. While the ambiance was warm and inviting, one thing that stood out immediately was how closely the tables were arranged. The seating felt a bit cramped, which made it hard to have a relaxed or private conversation — something I personally dislike, especially in a sit-down dining setup.
That aside, the bread and butter served before the meal was a delightful start — warm, flavorful, and a great way to whet the appetite. I ordered a Mango Pina Colada, which was refreshing, followed by fried mozzarella sticks — and I must say, they were the highlight of the meal. Perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, they were seasoned just right.
For mains, I tried the vegetarian lasagna, which unfortunately didn’t live up to my expectations — the flavors were quite muted and the texture slightly off. The fettuccine arrabbiata that followed was better, with a decent kick of spice and good pasta texture. I ended the meal with two desserts: Tiramisu and Chocolava with vanilla ice cream. Both were decent, though not particularly memorable.
Service was fine, efficient but not overly warm or personalized. Overall, Chianti offers a mixed experience — while some dishes like the fried mozzarella impressed me, others didn’t quite hit the mark. With a little more attention to spacing and consistency in food quality, this spot could easily elevate the dining experience.
Ritik Aggarwal (☆ 3/5)

Eveything about Chianti was surprisingly great!! Food arrived within 10 minutes, the waiters were extremely polite. While I waited for the food to arrive, I was given complementary breads. The food was VERY TASTY! I ordered fettuccine and it was AMAZING! the serve a lot of cocktails and mocktails. I would highly recommend the Fettuccine. I also tried a pizza but it was 6/10. The Fettuccine was 10/10. Great Atmosphere. It’s very peaceful. The one wierd thing I saw (maybe it was just today) was a couple of househflys which kind of bothered me a lot. Overall, great place! I will probably go many more times! Waiter Hussain was great! He helped us a lot!
Subhasri Banerjee (☆ 4/5)

If you are looking for authentic italian place, this one is the best! We had Pennacota, Spaghetti alla napoletaba, virgin sangria. All of them gave proper italian flavour.
They give complimentary bread basket as well!

Gnocchi

¡Comida italiana espectacular!

Relaxing atmosphere, good food and impeccable service ! We go without reservation , they offer a table outside for enough time to enjoy a good pasta! No nasty people , no sarcastic cracks , just good meal and friendly staff !

Luigi Ristorante, located on Roger de Llúria, is a genuinely delightful spot for a satisfying meal. The quick and attentive service contributes greatly to the overall experience, making it perfect for both a relaxed evening and a fast bite when short on time. The dedication to efficiency does not impact the quality of the food; everything is prepared swiftly without any compromise.
It’s clear the restaurant prioritizes freshness and uses excellent ingredients. Many patrons have commented on the unique and intensely flavorful pizzas, which set it apart from more standard options. The welcoming atmosphere and prompt assistance offered by the staff are features that repeatedly stand out, adding to the general feeling of well-being and enjoyment. Excellent service and fresh ingredients make this a must-visit.

athanasios tzal (☆ 5/5)

Elissavet Merkouriadi (☆ 4/5)

Customer Reviews
It has become one of our regular go-to spots, and for good reason. The food here is consistently fantastic. The Carpaccio del Chianti is delicate and full of flavor, the Calamari Fritti is perfectly crispy and light, and the Linguine Arrabiata con Verdure has just the right amount of heat and richness. We always end our meal with their Panna Cotta which is silky, smooth, and easily one of the best we’ve had in the city.
The service is equally impressive – attentive, warm, and professional. The staff always make us feel welcome and ensure a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.
If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the washrooms. For a restaurant that nails the fine dining experience in every other way, the cleanliness and upkeep of the washrooms could definitely be better.
That said, everything else about Chianti is spot on – the ambiance, the menu, the overall vibe. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian food in a cozy yet classy setting.
Aaqhil Safdar (☆ 4/5)

The bread here is to die for.
We all know garlic plays a primary role in Italian cuisine, but I was surprised to find raw garlic instead of roasted ones in the garlic bread.
Loved the pasta and pizza too although the hot chocolate is okayish at best.
We got the Bomba di Ciocolato for dessert, and it was so good we got another one.
Dhushyanth S P (☆ 4/5)

Perfect place for Italian food lovers. The prices are slightly towards the upper side but the quality of the food justifies it. Quantity is sufficient.
We tried the cream soups (mushroom and chicken), seafood platter, ravioli, cannelloni, grilled fish and finally the tiramisu. Everything was good and perfect.
Vallet parking is available, but you would end up waiting for the car for 15-20 minutes on a busy day after you handover the slip.
Will surely recommend the place to any Italian food lovers.

Cianti in Kormangala seems to be a hidden gem for Italian cuisine enthusiasts,
nestled in a bustling neighborhood.
The ambiance likely matches the area’s reputation for a chic dining experience.
If you’re exploring Koramangala, it could be a spot worth checking out, especially for those craving authentic Italian flavors.
Must try Christmas menu!

I had Lasagna, spaghetti, soup and chocolate mousse. I loved the taste. Authentic italian. I found it expensive though. I loved their complimentary bruschetta
pappu p (☆ 4/5)

Good food, nice vibe. Limited space though. There’s no dedicated parking but there is decent space to park on the roadside. There could be waiting time if you’re visiting on a weekend. Prices are high, and the quality of food just matches it. Pasta was good, lasagna was okay. They give extra plate of bread complimentary.
Prashant Mishra (☆ 4/5)

Staff is very hospitable and the food was top notch! I really liked the menu, it takes you to a true Italian experience 🙂

Ramya Appaji (☆ 4/5)

Expected much better from Pasta Street. Food was mediocre, not worth the price. The Nutella shake I ordered though was Rs. 300, tasted like a Rs. 10 Calvin’s tetra pack chocolate milkshake. Fries and Lasagna was bland. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of the amazing Chocolate Brownie.
Coming to the reason this restaurant lost all the stars, it was not because of the food but because of the way they deal with the service charge on the bill.
They had, by default, charged 10% as service charge, which I politely requested to be removed. The manager spoke to us after, saying that they have declared that they collect service charge in the menu. I explained that the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) guidelines state that restaurants and hotels cannot force customers to pay service charges. The guidelines also state that service charges are considered unfair trade practices.
After convincing, the manager went on to ask for my phone number, he said it was company rules to take the customers number who denies service charge (implying it was for some kind of defaulters list). I denied giving my phone number 3 times, after which they were ready to remove the service charge without taking down my number.
Talking about the service itself, it was really really slow and took about half an hour for our food to arrive.
I would never come back here after this experience, they lost a customer and will lose more if they continue this. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this time I had to.
Mahir (☆ 2/5)

A descent pasta place. I had feta & watermelon salad (very refreshing!) and pesto pasta with mushrooms (as it is India, they are generous with pepper).
They also have a good choice of mocktails.
Generally a great restaurant, especially if you’ve got a bit tired from Indian cuisine.

Pasta Street Cafe on Cunningham Road, Bangalore, is a gem for Italian food lovers, offering an impressive range of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The restaurant excels in delivering authentic flavors, a welcoming vibe, and an upscale dining experience.
The menu is a delight for Italian cuisine enthusiasts, featuring classics like pasta, pizza, risottos, and delectable appetizers. From creamy Alfredo and tangy Arrabbiata pasta to wood-fired pizzas with perfectly crisp crusts, the food is crafted with precision and high-quality ingredients. Vegetarians will appreciate dishes like the Margherita pizza and pesto pasta, while non-vegetarians can relish options such as chicken lasagna and seafood risotto. Each dish is a testament to the chef’s mastery of Italian cuisine.
A special mention goes to Himanish, our waiter, whose impeccable service elevated our dining experience. His extensive knowledge of the menu and genuine passion for food were evident in his thoughtful recommendations. From pairing the right wine with our meal to suggesting the perfect dessert, Himanish ensured every aspect of our visit was delightful.
The ambiance at Pasta Street Cafe is equally impressive. With its classy interiors, cozy seating, and tasteful decor, the restaurant exudes sophistication. Soft lighting, contemporary design elements, and a relaxed atmosphere make it a great spot for both casual lunches and romantic dinners. The background music adds to the charm without overpowering conversations.
Overall, Pasta Street Cafe delivers on all fronts—delicious food, excellent service, and a chic environment. Whether you’re an Italian food connoisseur or someone exploring new cuisines, this place is worth a visit. With its diverse menu, attentive staff, and elegant vibe, it’s an experience you’ll want to repeat.

1. The food here is super tasty. We ordered the veg Lasagna and their Ravioli.
2. I would fully recommend both the dishes. The lasagna was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of sauce on the plate. Which was delicious too.
3. The Ravioli was equally good.
4. Their drinks were tasty. Both their cocktails and mocktails. I would recommend exploring their menu.
5. The service was kind of slow. We had to try hard to get the waiters attention. They were also mean when we asked them to remove the service charges which was way too much.
Overall the food was worth it. I would recommend this place. In fact I would recommend this place more than their other locations.
Shishir Gururaj (☆ 4/5)

Service was fast. Ambience is good. Food was good but a bit pricey. Ate Garlic bread, calzone, white sauce pasta and mocktails. They have nice veg and non veg options. They have clean restrooms. Wine and other cocktails are available.
Varsha B (☆ 4/5)

After days of debating, deliberating, and trying to factor in every food preference of my team, I finally decided to take my team out for a Christmas lunch. Honestly saying, choosing a spot that everyone would enjoy was no easy feat.
After some serious “permutations and combinations,” I thought, why not switch things up a bit and try something new? And so, we found ourselves at PASTA STREET in Cunningham, just a stone’s throw from my office.
We went all out and tried a variety of dishes and drinks. The risottos and pastas were good, delivering on both flavor and comfort. The thin-crust pizzas were a crowd-pleaser, with the prawn pizza stealing the spotlight. As for my choice, the ravioli was just ok, the Caesar salad could’ve used a little more flavor to it – it was a bit dry for my taste.
Now, the drinks… not so much. They felt more like sugary syrups than the refreshing beverages we were hoping for.
Despite that, I would still recommend this place for a team outing. It’s perfect for groups, especially if you’re looking for a solid Italian spread. It can easily accommodate 20-25 people, though fair warning: the prices are a bit on the higher side.
Overall, PASTA STREET gets a thumbs up for food, but a little less so for drinks. A decent spot if you’re craving Italian and don’t mind splurging a bit.

Recently visited Pasta Street. Tried the cranberry mojito, chicken wings, and white sauce creamy pasta. The food was good but not exceptional. Nice ambiance and decent service, but expected a bit more in terms of flavor and uniqueness.
Vineeth Krishnan C (☆ 4/5)

Pasta street is a noted brand. I have already been to two other locations of this chain and I felt this outlet also lives up to the expectation of the brand. I loved the pasta no doubt, it was really engineered to perfection. However quantity is something I wished was more to justify the price. Pizza is equally good. Staff here are courteous, ambience is nice.
Abhishek Kulkarni (☆ 4/5)

Have been dining here for years, they are the best for pastas and pizza. The cost is on a higher side but the food and atmosphere compensates for it. They have valet parking which is an added advantage. Their dessert options are also limited but great to taste. They have seats on two floors and can accommodate large groups too.
vasanth s (☆ 4/5)

I recently dined at Pasta Street an Italian restaurant in Koramangala and had a delightful experience. We ordered the Chicken Lasagna and the Smoked Spicy Chicken Pizza. Both dishes were exceptionally tasty. The lasagna had a rich, flavorful sauce and tender chicken, though the portion size was a bit smaller than expected. In contrast, the pizza was quite large and satisfying. We opted for the Italian crust, which was thick and provided a better taste and texture, perfectly complementing the smokey and spicy chicken toppings.
We chose to sit on the first floor, which I highly recommend for a more relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, enhancing our overall experience. The staff were attentive and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
While the price range is higher than usual, I believe it is worth it for the quality of food and service provided. Pasta Street is a great spot for Italian cuisine lovers looking for a pleasant dining experience in Koramangala. I look forward to visiting again and trying more items from their menu.

A Delightful Experience at Pasta Street
Pasta Street exceeded my expectations and left me thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, I could sense the attention to detail that makes this place stand out. The ambience is modern and inviting, with a warm, cozy vibe that instantly puts you at ease. The chairs were surprisingly comfortable, making it easy to sit back, relax, and savor the experience.
The service was impeccable—attentive yet unobtrusive. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our meal was enjoyable, offering helpful suggestions and always serving with a smile. It’s rare to find such dedication, and it truly made the visit special.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The dishes were undeniably on the pricier side, but the quality and flavors made it worth every penny. From creamy pastas to perfectly cooked mains, every bite was a delight. The portions were surprisingly fulfilling, leaving us completely satisfied.
As for drinks, the mocktails were an absolute treat—refreshing, well-crafted, and beautifully presented. While I don’t drink, I noticed their extensive selection of wine-based cocktails, which seem to have earned an excellent reputation.
Overall, Pasta Street is a gem for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience. It’s a perfect place for celebrations, casual outings, or even just indulging in great food and drinks. Highly recommend!
Deep Jain (☆ 5/5)

The food is quite good, we had the risoto and ravioli both very good, exotic crostini was ok, though quite overpriced for the atmosphere the place offers. It’s hot inside with loads of mosquitoes…it gives you a feel of a fast food joint rather than a pricey restaurant. I cannot imagine sipping a glass of sangria in that atmosphere.Service was fine. The desserts need an overhaul. The blueberry bavarese, though sounding exotic is nothing but a dry and dense moose.
Anuradha Prabhu (☆ 3/5)

had a fantastic experience! The service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was cozy and intimate. I ordered the R6 which was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The flavors were rich and complex, and I loved the combination of ingredients. Overall, I highly recommend pasta street for a delicious and enjoyable meal. 5/5 stars!”

Frequently Asked Questions about Italian Restaurants in Bangalore
What defines an authentic Italian restaurant?
Defining an authentic Italian restaurant can be tricky. Often, it’s about the quality of ingredients – using fresh, seasonal produce and imported Italian staples when appropriate. Traditional recipes, prepared with care and attention to detail, are also key. While modern interpretations can be wonderful, true authenticity usually respects the roots of Italian cuisine.
What are some must-try Italian dishes in Bangalore?
Bangalore offers a wide array of Italian options. Some classic dishes to try include Neapolitan pizza (cooked in a wood-fired oven), creamy risotto, rich and flavorful pasta carbonara, and delicate tiramisu for dessert. Many restaurants also offer regional specialties from different parts of Italy.
How do I find Italian restaurants that use quality ingredients?
Identifying restaurants using quality ingredients can involve some research. Look for those that mention using imported Italian cheeses, San Marzano tomatoes, or extra virgin olive oil on their menus or websites. Reviews often highlight aspects of quality and often people will mention fresh pasta. Don't be afraid to ask questions about ingredient sourcing.
What is the difference between Neapolitan and Roman pizza?
The main differences between Neapolitan pizza and Roman pizza lie in the dough and cooking method. Neapolitan pizza has a softer, more elastic crust due to a high-hydration dough, cooked quickly in a wood-fired oven. Roman pizza, also known as "pizza al taglio," typically has a thinner, crispier crust and is often baked in rectangular trays.
Are there Italian restaurants offering vegetarian and vegan options?
Absolutely! Many Italian restaurants now cater to vegetarian and vegan preferences. Common vegetarian dishes include pasta with marinara sauce, pesto pasta, and vegetable-based risottos. Many restaurants are now offering vegan cheese alternatives and plant-based pasta dishes.
What is the typical price range for an Italian meal in Bangalore?
The price range for an Italian meal in Bangalore can vary widely depending on the restaurant's location, ambiance, and menu offerings. You can find casual eateries with meals costing around ₹500-₹1000 per person, while upscale restaurants might charge ₹2000 or more. Consider looking at the menu online to get an idea of costs.
