I stumbled upon this place when I was in dire search for a place which could not just give path to my potential but also polish my approach to not just a better actor but a better person. Here is where I can be completely myself & hence explore my limits without any hesitation. I met people from all walks of life and all age groups come together under one roof to create magic on stage. This place bestows enough confidence in freshers to debut them on stage, who after their performance goes home with immense satisfaction & 10 times more self confident. The weekend workshop is the backbone to the actors performing their best. We explore every aspect of stage & screen acting with interesting exercises. The format is flexible and it doesn't come in the way of your profession or personal plans. Whether you are an aspiring actor or exploring your ability to act, this place is sure to give you something to go back with.

I have had a wonderful time learning and practicing theatre here! Getting into the world of theatre and acting can come across as extremely daunting, but Theatrenama manages to make it easier and allows you to approach it at your own pace. I discovered Theatrenama while visiting family in Bangalore from Sweden, and it changed my life! I had never tried theatre before, but from my very first demo class, I felt an amazing energy and a warm, judgment-free space. The best part is that Theatrenama doesn’t force you to follow any specific style. Instead, it encourages you to find your own creative voice at your own pace. After just three months of workshops, I achieved something I never thought possible: I performed at Jagriti Theatre for Pocketmaar Drama Company! As a complete beginner, this was a huge milestone for me. I owe it all to the support and motivation from Aashish Rana (a.k.a Bawa) Founder and Director of Theatrenama and the guidance of Vatsal Baran (director of Pocketmaar). If I could do it, you can too! The best place to learn and indulge in Hindi Theatre in Bangalore. Safe space for women as well, and the community is more like family. Been more than a year and this community has given me so many opportunities to learn and grow. We get chances to learn from renowned theatre artists like Prasanna Sir, Sandeep Shikhar Sir, Sagnik Sir etc, apart from the regular workshops. The curriculum is ever evolving to accommodate the dynamic learning model. It is also hybrid and you can perform and learn at the same time. I have been a part of over 9 Productions and around 30+ shows, I couldn't ask for a better place to be at after office. A superb place to get introduced to the art of theatre. It’s a community of practice with folks who are passionate about theatre, story telling and self-discovery. The teaching style (of the theatre veteran Bawa, a.k.a. Ashish Rana) is great and introduces the students to theory as well practice of theatre. The guest trainers are also an added highlight, e.g., a Sangeet Naatak Akademi award winner Anil Ranjan Bhowmick, Priyanshu Mishra, etc.). Freshers are encouraged to participate in plays which are staged at the best places around town. TheatreNama is a unique initiative in Hindi Drama and a need of the hour!

This is a place where your passion meets education to set higher standards in your acting career. Whether you want to act only in theatre or even in front of the camera, the workshop provided by Theatrenama teaches all the techniques(both inside and outside the scene work ) that help you gain more control over your craft. The focus of the training workshop here is to make a controlled and versatile actor . They help you explore different types of acting and also touch the entire spectrum of the craft. Lastly, the community is welcoming and friendly. Be it the trainer, directors or senior actors all of them contribute towards one's journey of higher learning. Each day is a learning day here in all the dimensions - acting, discipline, team work ,etc.
