Summary: A city landmark and one of the best auditoriums to visit. Has a cafe and a book store.
Rangashankara is one of the best places in Bengaluru for anyone who loves theatre. The space feels very welcoming and is designed in a way that brings audiences close to the performances. The sound and lighting are excellent, and you get a clear view of the stage from almost every seat.
They offer a great mix of plays across different languages like Kannada, English, and Hindi, which keeps it interesting every time you visit. Ticket prices are very reasonable, making it easy for more people to enjoy live performances.
The small café inside serves simple but tasty food and drinks — perfect for a quick bite before or after the play. The whole place is very clean and well maintained. Staff members are polite and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and focused on enjoying art.
Parking can be a little difficult during busy shows, so it’s better to reach a bit early or take public transport.
Overall, Rangashankara is a lovely place to experience good theatre and spend a quiet, meaningful evening. Highly recommend visiting if you enjoy live performances, or even if you are new to theatre!
Nischith Rk (☆ 5/5)

This is a performing theatre venue with a capacity for around 300 viewers. The venue is in a busy area of Bangalore and has many a eateries nearby. The acoustics, lighting and the cushioned bench seating and all are well maintained. Very tiring to search for a four wheeler parking nearby on the busy streets nearby – especially when you reach the venue less than an hour to the show timing – as all the nearby available parking spaces will be full. The canteen is a real attraction here where the menu is seen elaborate on the wall & the “saboodana Vada” and chutney & pav bhaaji that we ate were very tasty. Male toilet was stinking bad where the management needs to give more attention to make your visit a really smooth… Overall a very good auditorium.
Venkatramana Pai (☆ 4/5)

1. Big building has ground floor, 1st floor
2. Indoor cafe is lovely
3. Small book library
4. 1st floor to stage drama
5. Easy wheel chair access.
6. Nearby metro access
Ganga Shankar (☆ 5/5)

Beautifully built stage which gives really a great experience to the audience and the artists as well. You feel like you have entered a ew artistic world . The experience is amazing. The seating arrangements, the acoustics , lighting everything is brilliant. You have parking facility for 2 wheelers. Live theatre experience is brilliant
swathi bhat (☆ 5/5)

Sampath the manager, did not let us enter. As I am typing I am standing outside the theatre for the play ‘des’ 7;30pm. Reached at 7:41pm. There were 10 people already waiting and they did not let people enter who came 2 mns late. There is no respect for audience their time and money and effort to reach this place from across Bangalore. I would not recommend this place for any play. There are better auditoriums that have put up different great acts. We can surely ignore this place and show them that play and audience goes hand in hand. Don’t go by the rating. Place must have been good in its olden days. But if you want to get insulted please go ahead and visit this place like me who wasted hard earned money and above all precious money for 30 mins of insult and turmoil into Ranga shankara and “Sampath”. It’s not worth it. Please preserve your peace and avoid this place.
Also, this is not about the rules at all. It’s about how you treat people, who due to various reasons can be late and you do not know their backdrop. Please groom your staffs in how to handle such situations peacefully rather than taking it personal and insulting. This staff named “Sampath” needs to take serious training in this. Every latecomers are not lazy they have specific reasons. Please respect that in the way you speak to them. Staff should be cultured enough before you say this space is for culture and arts. This wasn’t expected of Ranga shankara. Banning this for life .one less problem in life
Sinchita Maity (☆ 1/5)

Ranga Shankara in JP Nagar is a great place for theatre lovers. The space is cozy, with good sound and a friendly atmosphere. I watched the play “Trial of Abdus Salam” here. It was powerful, emotional, and made you think. The story stayed with me long after it ended. With a nice café, book store and welcoming feel, Ranga Shankara is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys drama and culture. Just make sure you reach the venue 5 minutes before the show starts as they close doors to ensure the least disturbance to the artists.

Loved the experience! Even though we were very late, they kindly accommodated us — including for a family celebrating their kid’s birthday. Since it was just two families on a weekend, the place wasn’t crowded. We did the Sherlock Holmes-themed escape room, which took about an hour and was super thrilling!
Sonu T Sekharan (☆ 5/5)

It was an amazing experience in the Escape room. Game master Shreya is literally the best you can have there. She was so helpful and humble with all our queries while also providing clues. We tried Hostage and Classified and loved both of them.
Must visit if you want to do some brainstorming while having fun with friends.

Realistic Set Design: Many visitors have highlighted the attention to detail in the room designs, which enhance the immersive experience.

Challenging Puzzles: The puzzles are designed to be engaging and thought-provoking, catering to both beginners and seasoned escape room enthusiasts.
Friendly Staff: We would really appreciate the staff “Bavya” for her awesome professionalism and helpfulness. She instructed the theme in a well detailed manner. Really this spot should be must visit for the investigation thriller enthusiasts.
santhosh kumar (☆ 5/5)

This was my first Escape Room experience and I absolutely loved it! I played the Hostage setup — it was both challenging and engaging, keeping us on our toes throughout. The puzzles were smartly designed and the thrill factor was just right. I’m definitely looking forward to trying out the other modules soon!
Melito (☆ 4/5)

Was a good experience.
We chose an easier room, so the puzzles were a bit evident.
But the fact that we had to solve it entirely in the dark elevated the experience to the next level.
hussain kota (☆ 5/5)

Please AVOID this place for events.
A dingy room with ill-functioning AC is provided for birthday party at 4900 for a couple of hours. The room is not private as the other guests of breakout room use same space for washrooms. The place and manner of how food is prepared is very unhygienic. Most disappointing thing is the hygiene level and not being able to meet commitments about food delivery. Food is not ready even after 35 minutes after scheduled time. Quantity isn’t adequate. Food is not heated properly either.
If you are partying here I strongly suggest to get your own arrangements related to food and order online. Food is prepared / heated / packed in this dingy place (shown in pic)
Place could have better parking, proper air conditioning so the persistent stink of sweat odour is avoided and have more friendlier staff. I find their tone towards kids rude and condescending. Plus there are mosquitoes and other insects in the waiting area and party hall.
Overall it was a huge letdown and a not a good value for money. The staff there did not allow the children to get the 5 minutes they lost in the set up time whereas the venue management were unconcerned over missing 40 minutes in food service.
The experience could be different if you are there only to experience the game. However I think the high reviews for this place are debatable.
Shankar (☆ 1/5)

Hostage was wonderfully setup & thrilling to solve.
Managed to solve the case in the nick of time! Got a medal too!
Game host Shreya was infectiously enthusiastic & thorough. Would expect nothing less. Kudos Shreya!

The atmosphere is welcoming, providing a comfortable setting to spend quality time with friends or family. A significant draw is the extensive game library, offering a wide range of options to suit different interests and group sizes.
The concept itself is a clever way to combine entertainment and socializing. The staff demonstrates a clear passion for board games and are available to guide newcomers, suggesting appropriate games based on player preference and experience. Providing assistance for the games is a valuable service. This contributes significantly to a positive and relaxed experience for everyone involved, even for those unfamiliar with the hobby.

Review:
Had a great time here! They have a wide variety of fun and strategic board games to choose from. The staff is super helpful—they explain the rules and how to play, so even if you’re new, you won’t feel lost. It’s one of the best ways to spend the day with friends. We celebrated birthday over there. Food was decent. Highly recommended for a fun and engaging hangout!
krupa gp (☆ 5/5)

It was my first time visiting a board game cafe and it was a really good experience, there were a lot of board games to choose from, the hosts also suggest board games to you on basis of no of people and other requirements, the food and drinks were also good, the hosts and everyone were polite and helpful.
If you like board games you should visit it definitely!
Tanmay Bagri (☆ 5/5)

This place is really different from the other cafes where you can play different kind of games from 2 players to Multiplayer.
Food may seem average with little high price!
80/- + 18% tax per person per hour
60/- ( min. 6 persons or more)
If anyone wants to play interesting game then you can go for Sequence which is for 3,4 & 6 players. Most of their games are for 2-4 players only, it’s hard to find family game.
Family game – Sequence, Kwik.
Harsh Jain (☆ 4/5)

BOARD 4 BORED is an innovative and creative concept. The idea of bringing together board games from all over the world is refreshing and definitely makes this place stand out. However, while the concept is unique and fun, there are a few things that could be improved.
We were 2 groups of 6 in each group. The café charges ₹80 per head per hour if you’re in a group of more than six, which feels a bit steep. Additionally, on weekends, you may have to wait for staff to explain the games, which can be frustrating. If you’re paying a premium, you’d expect better service and smoother assistance with the games.
Another downside is the cost of the food. The menu is already expensive, and on top of that, they add hefty taxes for both food and the games. While charging GST is understandable, they should either include the tax in the menu price or reevaluate the pricing altogether. As it stands, the food feels overpriced, and the extra taxes make the experience feel unnecessarily expensive.
We also faced issues with billing. Despite being two separate groups, they combined our orders into a single bill, which caused confusion. The staff seemed rigid and unaccommodating in this regard, which left a sour impression.
While the concept and the variety of games make it worth a one-time visit, I wouldn’t recommend visiting frequently due to the high costs and service inconsistencies. If you do plan to visit, I suggest playing games here but eating at one of the many nearby restaurants instead. That way, you can enjoy the games without breaking the bank on food.
Vikas Kumar Pandit S (☆ 3/5)

Tucked away in the middle of a crowded market, this board game cafe is great to organise meetups with friends and just spend a few hours enjoying the simple things.
Amazing collection of games. Really fun and lots of variety. The hosts will also explain the games to you and recommend what you’d like based on your interests.
Food is less than mediocre, in our opinion. We tried a few of their pizzas, rice bowls and drinks. Very spicy rice dish, dry dough and just not worth the price and taxes.
The food service was also not great. It would beneficial to train the serving staff to understand personal space. Nothing creepy, it was just unexpected and uncomfortable.
They charge Rs 80 per person/per hour, with tax it comes to Rs 100.
Would I go again? I don’t know, really. We loved the place and the games, but the food made it confusing
Priyam Chhetri (☆ 2/5)

I recently started getting into board games and decided to head here for a quick catch up with friends. Love the concept, I’m definitely a fan.
The staff were very enthusiastic, board game collection was great.
Few shortcomings: the food really needs improvement as it was a bit disappointing, hope that can be improved. Also, would make sense to not charge for the games as long as food is ordered.
Ajay Manikandan (☆ 4/5)

This place offers a great variety of games to enjoy with friends and family, making it a fun and engaging spot to hang out. The ambience is cute and cozy, and while the food was just okay, the overall experience was enjoyable.

Just BLR appears to be a popular spot for those seeking an enjoyable evening out. The staff consistently receive positive mentions for their friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The establishment seems to prioritize customer satisfaction, with efforts to enhance the overall experience frequently highlighted. A memorable evening seems to be the expectation.
A key draw seems to be the quality of the beverages and food on offer, alongside the entertainment provided. It’s presented as a place where you can reliably find a good time, with many enjoying the selection of drinks and the music. They offer a range of options, and the service quality is a recurring positive point among potential visitors.

Place is fine. Could be maintained better.
At first, I thought the food and drinks would be cheaper; given the place was not that well kept.. But was in for a Shock!
The food taste is good but the prices are lil higher than expected. Still fine…
But drinks and beer were way too costly, imo.
The service is quick; and staff is friendly.
Crowd is good, and lively. Not as overcrowded or suffocating as some other clubs in the area..
They do have a dj and a small dance floor; if you’re into that.
That have a smoking seating section as well.
based bhagat (☆ 4/5)

A good hangout spot for drinks, good food and chill vibes.
It can get a bit noisy with a lot of chattering, the music and movement, but if you can get road facing bar stool tables, you might enjoy it more. The beer is served in glasses that keeps the beer chilled until you finish it.
Don’t forget to order the loaded Nachos and French fries. They are really good pairing with drinks.
Raveena Gohil (☆ 4/5)

Visited Just BLR recently. Staff were friendly and the DJ was energetic, but overall the place didn’t match my vibe. The food was average, and the ambiance felt a lot restrictive—especially with a charge just to request a song (thru Dhun Jam or 299 per song and if you request DJ allows you two free songs on the house). Music variety leaned heavily in one direction (Bollywood/Punjabi & it was loud enough to give me a headache), which wasn’t my preference. Appreciate the service, but I wouldn’t personally return. The bill cost me 2000 for American Chilli Corn n Vodka with Red Bull. The staff solicited me LIVE for a 5 star rating (Zomato Dining) and they took an AWKWARD picture without any courtesy to ask! The moment I edited the review later to 3*, the review vanished and there’s no option to review on Google. Yes, they have gestures like free mini chocolates and a mascot in front of the building. But, the entrance itself was dusty and dirty. Plus limited options in drinks. Overall I was miserable here.
Jagadeeshwari Mani (JagZ) (☆ 2/5)

They charge a separate ₹500 entry charge along with the ₹1000 cover charge which means a total of ₹1500 for a stag we have to pay at entry to get the redeem of ₹1000 in F&Bs. This wasn’t good. Usually all other clubs allow to get the whole amount redeemed. F&B overpriced. It wasn’t worth it.
Most of their customers are north eastern, and because of that they might play most of the northeast songs and some of hindi and english. The staff inside the dining area were good.

We went as a group of 5 people. The theme was good, the puzzles are slightly difficult but it’s fun. The managers were really nice and it was not that crowded. They also have mini golf on the top floor.
jeffin jose (☆ 4/5)

The escape room was absolutely unprofessional. We paid 3.5k for a room where 2 locks were not working, the vault was open due to human error. The game master had to walk in 5 times to fix things that were malfunctioning. The staff was even rude when we tried to confront them about this.

Absolutely fun experience! We went as a beginner group of 6 and did not have a lot of expectations. The intricacy of the puzzles and the twists were amazing. Chitrakala Parishat is a renowned school of art in Bangalore, with an enviable alumni list. Located in a tree-lined campus, CKP — as it is popularly known — has a museum, a store and a gallery worth visiting. The gallery has rotating exhibits while the museum has permanent displays of paintings and crafts. CKP comes alive during its much-awaited fests: the annual Handicraft Mela and the Chitra Santhe (art market), both of which provide outlets for artists and craftsmen.
Visit this place when there is an art retrospective of KG Subramanian going on. There are so many options to shop and indulge in. You can easily spend a ton of time and money at this place. Definitely recommend it if you are interested in buying local Indian handicrafts or clothes at reasonable prices.

“What a wonderful place to visit with your loved ones, especially for art and sketching enthusiasts! Weekends are the best time to explore this art museum, every painting tells a unique story, and there’s so much to learn from each piece. It’s truly mesmerizing; I was completely captivated by the beauty and emotion in every artwork. My heart was filled with joy and admiration, I simply couldn’t take my eyes off them. A must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates visual art and storytelling through paintings. Below are some of my favorite mobile captures from this magical experience!” ♥✨
meenakshi meena (☆ 5/5)

A must-visit place if you’re keen on art and paintings. I visited this place back in February where there was a major arts exhibition during the month. Be it the main gallery or basement floor gallery, the craftsmanship is seen in all the paintings. They do have paintings for sale which might cost you a lot for the bigger canvas and vice versa. The other main attraction is the handicrafts and colorful textiles of various states of India sold in the exhibition stalls (flea market).

The regular art exhibitions, flea markets, and cultural festivals bring the place alive and offer something new every time you visit. The serene atmosphere amidst greenery makes it an ideal spot to explore creativity or simply unwind.
The small art shops and stalls offer unique handmade crafts, jewelry, and paintings, making it perfect for souvenirs or gifts. A must-visit for anyone in Bangalore who appreciates art, culture, or just a peaceful day out.
Tip: Check their schedule for exhibitions and events before you go to make the most of your visit.

When it comes to art collection, this is the must visit place in Bangalore. Artworks from all over the world have made their home in the heart of the city. Besides artworks and paintings, one can get good stuff for home decor, textiles, hand embroidered kurtis, cushion covers and bed spreads, handmade articles, brass / wooden items, jewelry, antique pieces from various parts of the country. There are various exhibition stalls available for various articles. A minimum of half day can be spent in just going through the display. Renovation work is also going on parallelly. So don’t know what surprise is awaiting for my next visit.

I visited this multiplex to watch Mission impossible movie and the experience has been good. The seating is very comfortable and sound system is Dolby 7.1. The screen is very nice and the resolution is very good. The restrooms also are very clean and well maintained. The soft drinks and popcorn are priced a bit expensive.

Orion Mall is undoubtedly one of the best shopping and leisure destinations in Bangalore. Located in the heart of the city, it enjoys a prime location surrounded by landmarks like ISKCON Temple and other spiritual sites. The easy connectivity from the metro station makes it super convenient to reach, even during peak hours.
The mall is spacious with ample car parking, which is a big plus in a bustling city like Bangalore. It’s always buzzing with energy, especially in the evenings when the pondside area lights up, creating a relaxing and vibrant vibe that’s perfect for unwinding.
Orion Mall also caters well to families and kids—the toy train ride and the open-air amphitheatre add charm and make the space more interactive and family-friendly. The cafeteria floor offers a wide variety of food vendors, ensuring everyone finds something they love, from street-style bites to premium brands.
Whether you’re here for shopping, dining, or just to hang out by the water, Orion Mall offers an all-round experience that blends convenience, beauty, and fun.

I went to see a 4dx movie, at the entrance there is checking. The security woman is not so friendly anyways when you enter the lobby is good. Very well decorated but it’s small as the number of 4dx movies is comparatively less.
The washrooms are clean but need proper maintenance as some taps weren’t working.
The movie hall was clean, and had proper seats but I couldn’t get the hang of why only the seats move during the movie, no other effect was there.

Now Boarding Café offers a delightful experience for those seeking a fun and engaging outing. The atmosphere is undoubtedly a key draw, creating a relaxed and welcoming space perfect for groups of friends or a casual get-together. The staff are incredibly helpful, readily assisting with game selection and rules, making it ideal for both seasoned board game enthusiasts and those just beginning to explore the hobby. Friendly service is definitely a highlight.
The food offerings complement the gaming experience well, with a menu designed to satisfy various tastes. While portions could perhaps be slightly larger, the quality is commendable, and the selection offers a good variety. It’s a wonderful place for an evening of entertainment and delicious snacks, fostering a sense of community and providing a memorable time for all involved. Good value for the activities and food.

Visited New Boarding Cafe in Jayanagar recently and had a great time! The ambiance is cozy and relaxed — a nice spot to hang out with friends or get some work done.
We ordered the French Fries, Large Pizza, and Old Coffee. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned — perfect as a starter. The pizza was generously topped, had a nice cheesy pull, and tasted fresh. The crust could have been a bit crispier, but overall, it was satisfying. The Old Coffee was rich and aromatic — a nostalgic touch that we really enjoyed.
Service was friendly and reasonably quick. Prices felt fair for the quality and portion size. Definitely a place worth revisiting! Just a little room for improvement on the pizza crust and it’d be perfect.

It’s a cool cozy cafe. They have a large variety of games.
The costing is 100 rupees per hour per person for board games.
And 70 rupees per hour per person for puzzles.
The food taste was also pretty good.
Most people that came here, came in groups, so i am not sure what will be the dynamics if you go alone.
It’s a nice place to spend time over the weekend or of you wanna try out some board games.
Swapnil Agarwal (☆ 5/5)

We were here for board games. The staff were amazing – they recommended the best board games for us, and explained them perfectly. We had an absolutely fantastic time.
We had a mix-up of our bike helmet with another customer & they were so helpful in going through footage and assisting us in getting our helmet back. And this was during peak hours when their cafe was packed & full of customers! Thank you so very much – super grateful – not all places or people give you this kind of time, thought & kindness.
PSA to other customers though, keep your helmets & valuables with yourselves.

Now Boarding – A Must-Visit for Food & Fun!
Had a great time at Now Boarding! The food and snacks were delicious — especially loved their cafe lemonade (a must-try combo!). The board gaming experience was fantastic, thanks to Mr. Roshan, who patiently guided us through the games and made it super fun. Perfect place to chill with friends over good food and engaging games. Highly recommended!
Kartikeya Singh (☆ 5/5)

Had a great evening playing board games. Time flies by.
Loads of games with different dexterities.
Food was delicious, just thought the portions could be slightly more.
Amazing ambience. The service was fantastic, they help you understand the games and the food service was prompt.
Overall really liked it and highly recommended for a friends day out or a couple date.

Before I give my review about the food, let me share what happened today. After having a starter earlier, I thought today I will go and try a main course. Imagine my disappointment, when I saw it closed with a notice saying that it will open at 1.30 pm. I was doubtful, since even the chairs were not arranged and it was already 1.15. On an earlier occasion, I had seen the staff coming from the upper floor and hence took a chance to go upstairs to check. There was a staff person sitting there, who told me that there was some function in the owners house and all the staff were there.
I asked him to call and find out if anyone is coming. He called and was told that it will be more late and that the cafe will not open at 1.30.
Imagine, if I had been standing and waiting there hoping it will open at 1.30?. This kind of behaviour is not professional. Atleast, you should update in Google about the change even if it is for one day. Some other customer had written on the note itself that they had travelled for 1.5 hours and were going back disappointed.
I may or may not go back, but here is my review about the one dish I had on another day.
Beetroot tikki-
They give 5 tikkis with chutney. Crispy and nice, the taste is just perfect. The best part is that it came in exactly 11 minutes after ordering. So, atleast their inhouse service looks good.
radhika anantharaman (☆ 3/5)

Had a really fun time..! They have an exquisite set of board games.. but you have to pay ₹100 per person for an hour to play, which seems a lil costly. Other than that they have a cozy ambience and the food was also good!

Customer Reviews
Comfortable seating, though the stage feels super close to the audience. The sound quality is good (not too low, not too overwhelming). In my case, I got adjusted to it. Good curation of shows. Location is great too. Lots of nearby awesome places to chill at later on or before. Can make a day out of it.
Shruti Kulkarni (☆ 4/5)

The place is good but not neat. Very untidy with stuff lying all around from mics to wall pictures, all lying on the floor. The carpet on the stage is so shabby.
Andrea Dsilva (☆ 3/5)

It was really great experience. There are ACs and the staff was really cool.
I think there could be some big chairs. I think it would be difficult for some people to sit in those chairs for more than an hour.
Nishanth Sanketh (☆ 4/5)

If you’re someone who enjoys standup and wanna see them live, this is possibly the best venue where you can catch your favourite comics when they’re performing here, and the primary reason for that is the venue being small. It is well maintained and provides a very intimate experience with the performer. Even when you’re sitting at the back, you don’t feel afar.
They also host open mics and you can see some prominent Bangalore based comics perform here every weekend. Haven’t seen a better venue than this.
utkarsh kapoor (☆ 5/5)

Limited seating capacity with cozy seats for small intimate gatherings specially comedy shows .
Aksaya Amit (☆ 5/5)

Small cozy space with less seating capacity. Feels closer to the artist.
Parth Gupta (☆ 5/5)

Small cozy place for stand up.
The ac acts up. It’s gets too cold or need to switch it off
Staff seems friendly
