I’ve been consistently disappointed with my experience at Emerge Gym. Classes are frequently cancelled, often last-minute, to accommodate events — which gives the impression that regular paying members are not a priority. It’s frustrating and disruptive for anyone trying to maintain a consistent fitness routine. Balancing home with kids and work at office we come here scheduling everything and we receive a message that they cancelled the class.

Another major issue is the customer service at the front desk. Geeta, in particular, is not welcoming or responsive to members. She often ignores concerns, doesn’t listen properly, and rarely provides clear or respectful replies. It’s not the kind of environment that makes members feel valued or heard.

What’s even more concerning is that the gym allows non-members to attend group classes for free, even beyond the standard trial classes. This is unfair to paying members and devalues the membership entirely.

Overall, this gym lacks professionalism, accountability, and customer care. I do not recommend Emerge Gym to anyone looking for a reliable or respectful fitness space. I sincerely hope the management takes these issues seriously, but as of now, I cannot suggest this place to others.

Lastly, don’t call or try to reach out begging to change the rating. Front desk lady doesn’t even deserve one star for her behaviour with the customers.

While joining they assured me to provide some goodies but I haven’t received them yet.. it’s been 3 months now.. I think it’s a false promise by management.

I have been a member of Emerge Fitness, Jayanagar for 6 years and it has been a wonderful journey. The gym is always well-maintained, with all the equipment I need and motivating atmosphere. I enjoy the group classes here they are fun and energetic. A big thank you to Trainer Vinod sir for his constant guidance, encouragement and always making sure I do my workouts in the right way and with proper form. I would also like to appreciate Geetha at the front desk for always greeting me with a smile and being so helpful with anything I need. Her kindness makes every visit to the gym even more pleasant. Wont recommend to join or subscribe to this gym.
Before joining they follow up day and night, but when we have concerns they don’t reply or leave you on read.
The gym is crowded, with very limited old equipments. Added to this, the gym instructors after 2 initial days, starting pleading everyday to take personal training. It becomes very hard to have your space and workout in-between all this.

Had added a review before, immediately the same people who had ignored my concerns over message. Started calling me requesting me to take down the comments. Recieved multiple calls.
By then I had joined a another well established gym which provided the facilities and quality promised.

They repeatedly called asking me to take down the comments and insisted they would provide the service or we could refer it somebody else.
I was reluctant to refer it anybody as I had already experienced the services.

I didn’t want anything from them, just posted my honest review. But they kept calling day-night with multiple numbers. They then insisted they’d refund and requested to take the reviews off. It’s been more than a month and all they do is push a week further.

Infact the refund never mattered. Their timely response while you join the gym, isn’t seen when we actually have a concern or issue after we join.
On posting honest reviews, they keep disturbing day and night, calling from multiple numbers.

Cult is one of the best places for group classes. I’ve been working out here for the past 7–8 years, and I’ve really enjoyed the experience. In my opinion, trainers like Indu make this place even better. He’s truly one of the best — his work speaks for itself.

Even after the session, he continues to motivate me to lift more, push harder, and keep improving. That kind of bond and mutual respect has come from being consistent and showing up regularly. Since I’ve been training with him for a while, he knows exactly where my strengths lie and where I need improvement — and he helps me work on both.

I do have a few concerns about others, which I’ll share over email — I already have the Cult contact. I’d prefer not to name anyone on a public platform, as I respect the effort each trainer puts in.

I’ve been a regular at Cult JP Nagar 7th Phase, but I’m deeply disappointed by the recent decision to stop music during sessions — reportedly because one member objected to Kannada songs especially.

Everything was perfectly fine until now. Trainers used to play songs in multiple languages — Kannada, Hindi, English — without disturbing anyone. It created a lively, inclusive atmosphere that most members appreciated. But now, just because one person doesn’t like songs in any language except English, Cult has apparently stopped playing everything else.

This is our home state, and it’s sad that we even have to request for Kannada songs to be played here. Meanwhile, Cult branches in other states confidently play music in their regional languages without question. Why the double standards?

Music is not just background noise — it’s an essential part of the workout experience. It motivates, energizes, and sets the tone for a good session. Turning it off entirely due to one complaint, while ignoring the views of dozens of regular members and trainers, is simply unfair and reflects poor management judgment.

Cult built a great brand around community and energy, but decisions like these are slowly chipping away at that reputation. Management needs to stop taking biased, one-sided decisions and actually listen to the trainers and the wider member base who are here every day.

This is regarding the Gym and how irresponsible the members of his centre is, I placed my bag to a very empty shelf. Somebody put it out and kept their bag in my place and thrown my bag outside. What nonsense is this? I condemn this strongly. Please take strong action on such no sense acts. This cannot go on. This is very very very unprofessional and one more thing to keep you informed at this centre the centre manager is never never never at his place.
This is such a unprofessional centre that Cultfit has opened, cannot say cannot express by words.

Today’s dance fitness session at Cult was enjoyable. The fantastic trainer Jeevitha made the class dynamic from regional to Latin moves, and I burned 500+ calories in just 50 minutes, which energized my day. The only challenge is that the sessions are always fully booked, so it’s necessary to book at least two days in advance. Additionally, the boxing and strength & conditioning sessions were effective, thanks to the excellent professional trainers who make burning calories seem effortless.

Strength and HRX classes here are so popular that the waiting list often looks like it could fill an entirely separate class.

I’ve been a member of the Cult center at JP Nagar 7th Phase for over five years now, and I can confidently say this center has the perfect vibe. Although there’s another Cult center just 800 meters from my home, I choose to travel 2 kilometers to this one—and that’s because of the amazing crowd and the quality of instructors here.

Over the years, many instructors have come and gone, and we’ve adapted to each one. But among them, one of the best I’ve come across is Indu, who conducts Strength and HRX classes. When he first joined, he didn’t know anyone, but gradually he started recognizing members and even addressing us by name. That small effort shows the rapport he builds with regulars and why so many people prefer his classes.

I recently came across some negative comments about him, and I felt the need to share my perspective. If someone truly had concerns, they could have reached out to Cult management directly instead of posting publicly in a way that even non-members could see. That kind of review feels less about improvement and more about criticism.

The reality speaks for itself—Indu’s Strength and HRX classes are so popular that the waiting list often looks like it could fill an entirely separate class. That in itself is the strongest testimonial to the value he brings as an instructor.

I chose it mainly for its spacious setup—no waiting for equipment or space to do abs, and even if it’s crowded, you can still work out comfortably. The staff explains everything clearly during inquiries, with or without a personal trainer.My trainer, Risad Sir, plans workouts and diets based on your body type and goals. He trains males and females differently, which is very important. He also keeps track of your medical conditions and trains you accordingly with care. This is the only women’s gym in the entire RT nagar and JC nagar that provides complete training and Monica is an awesome trainer she provided me with a complete diet chart and an awesome training routine which made me loose 5 kgs in just 2 months… just because the month of Ramadan came in between I had to take a break.. the only place where you should be careful about the pricing because the admin can almost dupe you so be vigilant… Monica is highly recommended as she knows her work professionally please don’t go on her stature she’s really very strict about the workout plan and don’t take her lightly she builds a bond with her clients and pretty much everyone ends up reaching their targeted weight

It’s been 6 months since I joined Finix Gym, and I’ve truly enjoyed every workout here. The people are incredibly friendly, and Master James has been exceptionally supportive. As a student, he offered me a deal I couldn’t find anywhere else near Indiranagar. I had checked nearly 5 other gyms, but none matched the offer and support I got here.

What a sad little gym this is. No discipline at all, plates, dumbell, barbell all lying around.

There was a trainer training his students, who left their barbell on the rack that I was using, I asked him to respectfully put it back. He said something in Kannada and walked away in a lot of arrogance. No problem with Kannada, but what a bad bad example as a teacher.

Also half the machines don’t worn or if they do they tend to be super squeaky. Handle bars and grips of ALL the machines are falling apart.

I knew cult was bad, but this is downright depressing.

1. No policies are followed. Customer executives (or anyone else) don’t care about your problems. You will have to deal with them on your own.

2. Freelancer trainers and non-members who come to the gym, create a drag on gym resources and occupancy.

3. Women are not safe.

4. Trainers only care about female clients. They become their personal trainers and touch them at in-appropriate places which is quite un-comfortable.

5. Parking your vehicle is not safe. My vehicle’s tyre was slit with a blade.

The trainers are highly skilled, motivating, and ensure you get the best out of each session for Dance specially- Darshan, Boxing- Yash and HRX- Sujay & Amit!

A special mention to Srinivas, the centre manager, who is extremely professional, helpful, and ensures everything runs smoothly. The entire staff, including the trainers and other managers, are friendly and supportive, making it a great fitness community.

My first experience with Cult and it was horrible! I took a PT here (won’t disclose the name). He acted quite friendly and supportive initially but he made me do really intensive exercises in the first week itself that started causing severe back pain. I had to stop going to the gym within 2 weeks and I am still recovering from it. The manager suggested me to join the evolve yoga classes for the back pain, but the trainers there are equally bad. I had almost paid 40k for both gym and PT membership and I couldn’t even get a refund. On top of this, there were payment issues at the start from the company side itself, for which I had to relentlessly run behind their support team. The gym itself is crap with how much crowded it is. And personal training is a joke, they will even care to assist you because each trainer has 5-6 trainees in one slot. I never had such a bad experience with any company or brand ever in my life! Joining this gym has been the biggest mistake and learning for my life. Screw this gym!

Disappointing Experience – Unprofessional Staff and Poor Management

I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at Cult recently. I arrived at 7:03 PM but was confused about which floor my session was on, as there was no one at the reception to assist me. I spent around 10 minutes trying to figure it out. Eventually, I found a manager and explained the situation. Since I wasn’t wearing shoes, he told me to go wear them and return before 7:06 PM, and he would allow me in.

I came back exactly by 7:06 PM, but the manager had disappeared. I waited outside until 7:16 PM and searched all three floors, but he was nowhere to be found. I was left completely clueless with no support. The gym was overcrowded, and I couldn’t find anyone to talk to — until finally, I came across two kind cleaners. I explained my situation to them, and they tried to help by asking around and eventually brought a lady staff member who contacted the manager. He then told me to wait for the Dance Class and said he would allow me in.

While I was waiting again, a person who had come to work out noticed me standing for a long time and asked if I needed help. I explained what happened, and he kindly offered to help by giving me the manager’s number. I even called the manager personally, but he did not pick up the call.

I waited next to the Dance Class area as instructed. The class started, and one song had already played, but the manager still hadn’t shown up. When he finally came, he avoided eye contact and walked away without saying a word. I waited nearly 40 minutes in total, just to speak with him — and when I finally did, he overheard me sharing the story with a friend on the phone. After hearing me refer to him out of frustration, he suddenly lashed out and insulted me in front of others instead of handling the situation professionally.

This experience was extremely disappointing and emotionally draining. There was no proper communication, no accountability, and no respect shown. Cult seriously needs to improve how they train and manage their staff — especially in how they deal with customers during time-sensitive or confusing situations.

I have been working out here since a year now. The gym is not that big but we’ll maintained. There can be peak hours, you will have to plan your timings.
Tried personal training as well. Syed is a crazy good trainer. He will push you a lot. Pushed me out of my comfort zone. Something I needed really badly.
Usually not a big fan of trainers, but this experience has been very different. Recommended.
The gym overall(if timed well) is also recommended.
