An Excellent Sports Facility with a Premium Feel!

The Majesstine Sports in Bangalore truly lives up to its name. From the moment you step into the premises, you can feel the professional and well-maintained atmosphere that sets it apart from many other sports complexes in the city. I recently visited for a football tournament and was thoroughly impressed with the overall setup.

The turf quality is top-notch — clean, even, and well-lit, making it ideal for both casual and competitive games. They’ve maintained excellent hygiene across the facility, and the changing rooms and washrooms are also clean and organized. Booking a slot is easy and smooth through their app or website, and the staff is courteous, helpful, and well-trained.

What I liked the most is the spacious layout. There’s enough room for warm-ups and seating for spectators. It’s also great to see that they host various sports events and training sessions, including cricket nets and coaching for kids. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, this place caters to all.

Parking is sufficient, and the location is convenient, not too far from major parts of the city. If you’re a sports enthusiast looking for a high-quality experience in Bangalore, I highly recommend The Majesstine Sports!

This rating is for Majesstine sports swimming pool.

I used to go here for swimming classes and after that I started going to learn on my own. One day, I decided to go to Srujan aquatic center on Bannerghatta road (Arekere) for a change. That’s when I realised Majesstine swimming pool falls short on a few fronts.

Majesstine pool area feels quite unclean. The shower rooms stink, and the lockers are never empty, and have rotting wet clothes lying around for days producing a smell. Once a kid pooped in the shower, which was a bad sight. The swimming pool gets overcrowded, sometimes 10-12 people and it’s a frustrating experience, and management seems to do nothing about it.

The tutors, when I started, weren’t great. They might be fine tutors for kids, but for adults they didn’t seem to have any techniques or insights to get better other than basic directions like “you have to float”, “kick fast” etc. If someone struggles, they didn’t know how to help them. I have seen learners spend a lot of sessions trying hard and these tutors were never able to get them to progress. I, for one, made improvements after I started watching YouTube videos. With kids, i reckon it’s easier. Their bodies are naturally lighter and buoyant. It sure takes longer and that’s fine. For adults, the tutors have to have significant experience teaching adults, which the ones here didn’t seem to have.

The area where it’s situated is also crowded, bad roads, and does not give a good feeling as you approach the swimming pool.

The thing good about the swimming pool here is that it’s heated, sometimes over heated but that’s okay. And the showers also have hot water. The chlorine can be excessive, and even a thorough shower doesn’t eliminate the smell of chlorine. For HSR residents, it’s 10-15 mins away. The pool also has an easy to book option via an app.

EDIT: Since I cannot reply to the owners response, replying here –
1. I have taken swimming lessons in October and November 2024. Entire month of October 2024 via the full month payment. Either you have lost record, or are omitting it, but I can share screenshots from my aktivity app. Therefore, I had enrolled for the structured coaching and the quality of instruction was very poor.
2. The hygiene, approach roads..well, real users can experience for themselves. It’s not great. Users can go check the lockers for themselves.
Overall, I don’t enjoy critiquing for the sake of it. I have left good reviews for other establishments — you can see from my review history. I’d like you guys to do better and I think you have potential
So either you take my review constructively, or you be defensive and miss the opportunity to grow and improve. Choice is yours 🙂

One of the best badminton courts in HSR! The facilities are top-notch, with clean washrooms and a drinking water station available. There’s a pavilion that offers a great view of the games, making it an excellent spot for spectators. Besides badminton, there’s a designated play area for kids, which is a nice addition. However, parking can be a challenge, so plan accordingly. Overall, it’s a great place for badminton enthusiasts and families alike!

Tried their swimming pool today – had a fantastic experience. Clean pool, very decent size, warm water (I have tried many temperature controlled pools in Bangalore, this is 10x better), not crowded, boards are available for usage unlike some places where they won’t let you use it unless you take their coaching. The entire facility was so well maintained, team was very polite and helpful. Keep it up 🙂

We’ve been playing cricket at Majestine Sports HSR every week and absolutely love the facility. The ground is well maintained, and it has been one of our favorite places to enjoy the game.

However, we were surprised and disappointed recently when the management suddenly stopped allowing us to play with synthetic balls, which we’ve been using regularly. We’ve had to switch to tennis balls, which changes the experience quite a bit.

It would be great if the management could clarify the reason behind this change and let us know if synthetic balls will be allowed again in the future. While we truly enjoy playing here, this restriction might force us to look for other venues that support the style of cricket we prefer.

Both my daughters and I had a wonderful experience learning swimming under Captain John Chaco Sir. He’s one of the best coaches we’ve come across — extremely patient, friendly, and skilled in teaching a variety of techniques. His calm and encouraging approach made learning enjoyable for all of us.

The coaching is structured and we’ll paced. Water quality is checked regularly. Parents are allowed to watch the coaching, which makes them comfortable and assured. The location, size of the pool and ample life guards make it an ideal place to learn swmming. John Sir had trained my Son with a lot of patience and determination focusing on his weaknesses and now he is moved to the next level. Thanks to Mangalam Sir also who coached and encouraged my daughter. Last but not least Head Coach Anthony Sir, is a man of few words but a great coach which is evident from the quality of students it churns out. Office staff, Arvind was also very helpful ..

We had a wonderful experience at Golden fins sports club, NRI layout, Bangalore.

Captain John Chacko is an incredibly gifted mentor who genuinely understands children, technical expertise with patience, emotional intelligence, and a genuine love for teaching children.

My daughter was very afraid of water and hesitant to even step into the pool. With patience, kindness, and skill, John sir worked with her step by step. In just a short span of time, her confidence grew and she began to truly enjoy swimming.
The coach not only taught her the techniques but also helped her overcome her fear with a calm and encouraging approach.

We are truly grateful and thankful for the coach’s patience and support.

I would highly recommend John sir to parents looking for a supportive and skilled swimming instructor, especially for children who are nervous or afraid.

The swimming pool at Golden Fins Sports club, at NRI Layout is one of the best-maintained facilities we’ve come across. The water is always clean and crystal clear, with proper filtration and hygiene standards clearly in place.
The pool area is spacious, well-organized, and very safe—ideal for both beginners and experienced swimmers.

10/10 — Highly Recommend!
I just completed 18 days of swimming classes at Golden Fins, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Not only did I make real progress in the water (this was my first-ever swim class!), but I also made some amazing friends along the way.

A special shoutout to Coach John Chacko… he’s truly the heart of the sessions. He doesn’t just give general instructions; he sees what you’re doing, understands how your body moves, and gives you personalized guidance every single day. His approach made all the difference, and I honestly don’t know if I would’ve felt this confident in the water without him.

Also, the pool is well-maintained and clean, which added to the overall great experience.
If you’re thinking of starting your swim journey… whether you’re a beginner like me or looking to improv.. I’d recommend Golden Fins in a heartbeat.

This is the most overrated swim center.

The swimming pool is decently maintained.
The pool looks like crowded, but it is actually not since the staff allow only is the designated area for the public to swim.

The public pool time they have mentioned is 1hr, but they allow only half an hour to swim. This is kind of question to the management as why so?
They charge 20 rupees for the parent/guardian who accompany too.

The management is the poorest I believe.

The security staff there act like the pool is owned by them. When we stand or sit in the shade due to sunlight, the security acts as a third class fellow. He did not allow to stand there and sent us away from there mentioning you cannot sit/stand there, although there were chairs to sit. When questioned he gave an inappropriate answer. And to mentioned that was not a designated area for any VIP or anybody.

They treat public children as though the children have come for free and the children are using the pool for free. I have seen the security guards scolding the public for no reasons never thinking that they are elder/younger.

The management should give some behavioral training to the staff there. I understand that security is a matter of concern, but you cannot take advantage only because of it.

Overall, the experience is very bad.
Only having the name as getting accredited does not make an institution/center great, the management should show some decent behavior and act in an appropriate way and responsibly.

Superb experience at BAC, Prices are worth it for exclusive sessions for men and woman that’s 50 per head and you can use the Olympic pool about 8 feet deep. If you require a co-ed/ family batch the price would be 150 per head and you’ll be able to use the normal pool half the size of the Olympic pool about 5.2feet deep. Overall experience is at its fineness as the pools are well maintained and very clear even when it’s busy. Proper designated outdoor shower areas with good ventilated restroom and changing rooms. Plenty of space to relax and sit. Lifeguard’s always on the watch for any troubles. 5 star experience. Must try pool.

Mother like me , if request to management about concerns, the very next day no water supply in changing room. Receptionist suggested to go home and take shower as they don’t have own water source. I still wonder how pool water is changed.

Beginning they assure 100% result from their trainer. At end they said my child needs longer time and tries make us take admission again.

I’ve been playing badminton at this venue for over 18 months, and the management’s incompetence has become unbearable. Since the winter of 2023, the roof has been leaking whenever fog builds up, and despite repeated issues, they’ve failed to fix it. During heavy rains in September 2024, the situation worsened, yet no action was taken. Now, with winter setting in, the leaks have become a daily menace, and players’ complaints continue to fall on deaf ears. The pictures attached show just how the courts look almost everyday.

To make matters worse, I’ve learned that at least two players have sustained injuries since September due to these hazardous conditions, yet management remains indifferent.

On November 16, they had the audacity to send an email announcing the closure of 6 AM slots, telling players to book elsewhere or switch times. This pathetic attempt to cover up their inefficiency and lack of accountability is outrageous. The 6 AM slot caters to about 40 regular players—canceling it without any valid reason is nothing short of sheer stupidity.

Despite numerous complaints via email and phone, the management has done nothing. It seems like Fitso and Cult are passing the buck, leaving paying customers to suffer from their failures and gross mismanagement. This venue is a disgrace, and the lack of accountability is appalling.

I have been playing badminton here for more than a year. For the last two months, I have been facing the worst situation. Last month I was hospitalized due to a leg ankle twist. The worst maintenance of badminton courts is that water is flowing over the courts. Until 10 dampens, I will not be able to play. When I joined, I pulled three friends to join here; now they are shouting at me. Good gift to me #cult.

I have my last feedback 2 months back . Adding again in Jan 25th . Don’t know whether it’s a badminton court where you can swim . Or are they trying to merge swimming pool with court .

This is a place for sports, namely swimming and badminton. They have membership plans,3months,6 months and so on. It’s taken over by cult,so currently Cult fitness is managing this place.
The swimming pool is covered and it’s temperature controlled, a major plus in the Bangalore weather! However sometimes the water is cool, you need to raise a concern and then they fix it. The swimming trainers are good. They do focus on the kids and give them attention.

So currently from 6th September, they have changed the heating system in the pool, which is not working. So basically the water is cool/ cold for the swimmers. Do check the water before you enroll here,as currently what is promised is not being delivered.

His constant encouragement, patience, responsiveness, building confidence and giving personal attention among everyone is very much appreciated. His guidance and coaching helped me to learn swimming in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, deep-end diving, floating, treading and completing laps.
• Mr. Jacob is a fantastic, professional and friendly coach. He was conducting fitness drills and whenever I had doubts about some of the swimming techniques he used to clarify the same.
• Mr. Ravi who is an extraordinary and professional coach took some of the classes and gave practical advice to everyone.
• Mr. Timothi, a professional and very patient coach teaches to the kids which is so pleasant to watch.

I had a great experience while learning, which resulted a lot of progress and improvement in swimming. I recommend Agon Sports for those who wants to learn effortless swimming with perfect technique.

Experience Note for Global Swim Centre:

As an intermediate level swimmer residing near Majestic, I decided to venture approximately 5 km to visit Global Swim Centre, hoping for a quality swimming experience. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met, leading me to believe that the journey and the expense were not justified. Here are the key issues I encountered:

1. **Poor Water Quality**: The most disappointing aspect was the water condition. It was inadequately cleaned, resulting in a stinky, greenish appearance. This not only made the swimming experience uncomfortable but also raised concerns about hygiene and safety.

2. **Overpriced Admission**: The ticket price did not align with the facilities provided. Given the subpar conditions, the cost seemed unjustifiably high.

3. **Malfunctioning Showers**: The shower facilities were in a deplorable state, with many being out of order and others completely broken. This added to the overall frustration and discomfort during my visit.

4. **Misleading Pool Depth**: The depth of the shallow end of the pool was deceptive. There were diving areas that suggested deeper water, which could be hazardous for newcomers who might mistakenly dive into shallow sections.

5. **Lack of Amenities for Swimmers**: Unlike other swimming pools I’ve visited, there were no designated areas or buckets for spitting out water, which is a necessity for many swimmers, including myself, especially after accidentally ingesting pool water.

Overall, my visit to the Global Swim Centre was highly unsatisfactory, and I regret making the effort to travel there. I can only give it 1 star due to these numerous and significant shortcomings. I would not recommend this facility to other swimmers looking for a clean, well-maintained, and user-friendly swimming environment.

It’s an okay place to swim regularly. It used to be 40rs per hour and now it is 80rs per hour
Before the water was dirty and green and now it has been cleaned up.
Worth it for regular use but no proper place to change and clean up not any storage facility to safeguard things.

I recently visited the Global Swim Centre and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite paying a hefty entrance fee of 80 rupees, the toilets were not clean at all. The ticket prices were unreasonably high considering the poor amenities provided. The showers were in terrible condition. Not only were they not functioning properly, but the drainage system was also wide open, with garbage present in the area. The low water pressure meant we had to stand near the drain to take a shower, which was very unpleasant. The water quality in the pool was poor, indicating a lack of proper cleaning. Additionally, the maintenance staff displayed a high level of unprofessionalism, further degrading the overall experience.Overall, it was the worst experience I have ever witnessed at a swim centre.

Terrible service.
I called before going to the pool to enquire about the timings. They said it’s open for women at 12.30pm. But when i arrived they said, ‘if boys touch you inappropriately it is not their fault itseems. ‘. This is the kind of talk given by the man here.
It is completely unsafe for women. Never will I come here. And an honest suggestion to all women not to come here for swimming. !!.
Most pathetic service ever !!

Very well Maintained Indoor Pool. Be aware of the timings and rules. The water is neat and very clear. The Changing room is also well maintained. Offseason this pool is amazing, less crowds and enough space to swim.
During the Holiday season , you will need to plan your timings accordingly as it can get crowded.
Overall a great experience

Indoor… Olympic sized pool….. Crystal clear water… recently I had the pleasure of visiting planet aqua swimming pool, and I must say, it was a good experience. The facility was well-maintained, and here’s what stood out to me:
Cleanliness: The indoor pool area was impeccably clean. The water was crystal clear, and the surrounding area was spotless, which made me feel comfortable and safe.
Temperature Control: The pool’s water temperature was perfect. It was neither too cold nor too warm, making it ideal for a refreshing swim regardless of the weather outside.
Ambiance: The pool area had large windows that let in plenty of natural light, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. The interior design was pleasing, with comfortable seating areas for relaxation.
Safety: Lifeguards were present and vigilant, ensuring the safety of all swimmers. Adequate safety equipment and signage were also in place.
Amenities: The facility had changing rooms, showers, and locker facilities that were clean and well-maintained. Towel service was available, which was a nice touch.
Accessibility: The indoor pool was easily accessible, with ample parking and convenient hours of operation.
Family-Friendly: It was clear that families were welcome. There was a separate shallow area for children, making it a great destination for all ages.
Swimming Programs: The pool offered various swimming programs, including lessons for beginners and advanced swimmers, which added value for those looking to improve their skills.

A seperate kids pool adjoining the main pool….

Overall, my experience at this indoor swimming pool was excellent. Whether you’re a serious swimmer or just looking for a fun and relaxing time, this facility offers a top-notch environment for all. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great indoor swimming experience.

It’s a good pool, but is not temperature controlled. So the 1hr rate of 300₹ for occasional swimming is far too high.

Apart from that, the locker and shower facilities were all fine.

One of the best pools you can find in BTM. Been a member for almost 9 months and has never had much to complain about. The pool is 25m in length that starts with 3.5 ft to 5.5 ft in depth. It’s well maintained although it’s not heated. The width of the pool is big enough (around 15-20 m) that they have divided into two for trainees and members. Evenings are more crowded on the members side. The training side is crowded nevertheless.

Getting there can get a bit tricky, but enough parking for bikes and a few cars. The place is well maintained and a clean pool. Also, a kids area of depth less than 2 feet. The normal pool has a max depth of 5.5 feet.

Wasn’t that crowded on a Sunday evening.

I went here with my friends for a swim. The place is now managed by Game Theory, but it’s a bit tricky to locate on Google Maps, if you’re not aware of the name, finding it can be confusing.

As for the facilities, the bathrooms and shower areas were clean. They provided shower gel, shampoo, and even a hairdryer, which was a nice touch. The staff was also helpful and courteous.

However, there were a couple of concerns. There was no safety guard on duty, which felt a bit risky, and the pool seemed to have an excessive amount of chlorine.

Overall, the experience was okay, it has potential, but a few improvements could really make a difference.

Today we visited this place, but it was not clean or hygienic. The reception staff were very rude, and they even charged ₹100 per person for children below 4 years. They allowed only 40 to 45 minutes inside. The pool water was also not maintained properly. I think from next time onwards, I will plan to avoid this place. Thanks.

The club has potential but is let down by poor management decisions seemingly driven by a few Brigade employees. A clear example is the abrupt cancellation of two hours of scheduled, paid badminton coaching over the weekend due to internal directives. This kind of inconsistency reflects badly on the brand.

@BrigadeGroup, I sincerely hope action is taken—if not, it won’t take long before a few individuals seriously damage the reputation of the entire group.

The front desk can confirm the details for those interested.

The club is a master at overhype! Booking any event here is simply daylight robbery for customers.
Upon arrival we were informed that no food would be catered to the conference and were told to do be on the dining room immediately as it would be closing within the hour! We postponed our own event and hurried to the noisy dining area where our tables were scattered amongst other guests-this was supposed to be a personal function!
Furthermore the limits of our patience (at the price paid) was reached when only 2 Non-veg dishes were available (one of which was a salad) and the entire menu had become cold. We were told that it’s our mistake for being late.
After lunch, as we were conducting our farewell the management barged into the hall and asked if we wanted coffee (right after lunch). When we said no, he immediately presented us our bill and asked it to be settled. This was done at a corner table, right inside the hall.

Frequently Asked Questions about Swimming Classes in Bangalore

What age groups are typically catered to in swimming classes?

Swimming classes in Bangalore often cater to a wide range of ages, typically starting from infancy. Many offer programs for babies and toddlers focusing on water acclimation, while others cater to children, teenagers, adults, and even senior citizens. Programs are usually structured by age and skill level.

Are private or group swimming lessons more beneficial?

Both private and group swimming lessons offer distinct advantages. Private lessons allow for personalized instruction and rapid progress, focusing entirely on the individual's needs. Group lessons are often more affordable and provide a social learning environment, which can be motivating. The best choice depends on your budget, learning style, and goals.

    What certifications should instructors hold?

Reputable swimming instructors in Bangalore usually hold certifications from recognized organizations. Common certifications include those from the American Red Cross, Swim India, or other nationally recognized bodies. These certifications demonstrate proficiency in water safety, rescue techniques, and effective teaching methods. Verifying certifications is crucial for safety.

How can I ensure the pool is safe and hygienic?

Pool safety and hygiene are paramount. Look for facilities that regularly test and maintain their water quality. Signs displaying water test results are a good indicator. Facilities should also have clear procedures for pool maintenance, including cleaning and disinfection. Observe the overall cleanliness of the changing rooms and surrounding areas. Inquire about chlorine levels.

What prerequisites are needed to join a particular class?

Class prerequisites vary depending on the level. Beginner classes typically require no prior experience, just a willingness to learn. Intermediate and advanced classes usually have requirements, such as the ability to swim a certain distance or perform specific strokes. Check the class descriptions carefully before registering.

How frequently should swimming classes be taken for optimal progress?

The frequency of swimming classes depends on your goals and learning pace. Most instructors recommend at least twice a week for noticeable progress, especially for beginners. More frequent lessons, such as three or four times a week, can accelerate learning. Consistency is a key factor in mastering swimming skills.

What equipment will I need for swimming classes?

Essential equipment for swimming classes typically includes a swimsuit, a towel, and goggles. Some classes may require a swim cap, especially for longer hair. More advanced classes may involve the use of training aids such as kickboards and pull buoys, which are often provided by the facility. Always check with the instructor beforehand.

What safety measures are usually in place during lessons?

Safety is a top priority. Reputable facilities employ several safety measures, including having a qualified lifeguard on duty, limiting the student-to-instructor ratio, and having emergency procedures in place. Instructors should also provide clear safety instructions and supervise students closely. A visible first-aid kit is another positive sign.

How can I find classes suitable for individuals with special needs?

Many facilities in Bangalore offer specialized swimming classes tailored for individuals with special needs. These classes often have adapted teaching methods and smaller class sizes to cater to varying abilities. Search online for "adaptive swimming classes Bangalore" or contact local disability organizations for referrals to appropriate programs. Personalized attention is a key aspect.

What is the typical duration of a swimming class?

The duration of a swimming class can vary, but it generally ranges from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Beginner classes for young children often have shorter durations (30 minutes) to maintain their attention. More advanced classes or adult lessons may last for a full hour or even longer. The structure of the class and the skill level play a role.
