Magpie Speech Therapy

A Heartfelt Thanks to Magpie I’m quite late in writing this review, but our gratitude towards Magpie is immense. We are truly indebted to them. We approached Magpie when our son was 3 years old and still not speaking. They recommended an initial assessment and assigned a speech therapist. Unfortunately, due to the second wave of COVID, we had to pause therapy for about 4–5 months. However, the techniques they had shared during the initial sessions were helpful. One day, out of the blue, our son counted up to five — a moment that gave us immense hope. When we resumed therapy, a new therapist was assigned (I’ll refrain from naming her unless Magpie permits). She was nothing short of a blessing. Within days, she connected beautifully with our son, understood his needs, and conducted engaging sessions. She also involved us during the last 10 minutes of each session and gave us homework to reinforce learning at home. Slowly but surely, his speech began to develop. After about 8 months, we enrolled our son in a nearby Montessori school. While the school was supportive, its quiet environment and minimal encouragement didn’t align well with our therapist’s approach, which emphasized celebrating every small achievement. Despite her efforts to communicate with the teachers, we noticed that the environment wasn’t helping his speech progress. So, we moved him to a more traditional school — but this came with its own challenges. The school was academically intense, even for UKG students, and our son struggled with the workload and confidence. Throughout this time, we continued therapy with Magpie and the same therapist. We witnessed steady progress in his speech, step by step. We were also educated on speech development, received helpful videos, and were encouraged to stay actively involved. The work-from-home setup allowed us to dedicate more time, knowing that early intervention — especially before age 6 — was crucial. Over 1.5 years, we saw remarkable improvement. Magpie also organized activity sessions to help children socialize and learn everyday concepts, which was especially helpful for our shy and hesitant son. They have very good quantified way of showing how far is the kid from normal kid in a graphical way which imprints in your mind and you continue putting efforts. While his speech reached the level of his peers, his confidence was still low due to the school environment. Then came a turning point — we found a wonderful school, Absorbent Mind near JP Nagar. We repeated a class for our son, and the school took care of everything. Slowly, his confidence grew, his hesitation faded, and by age 6, he was doing good. We were so happy to see him presenting to all many other parent for about 10 minutes multiple time in an exhibition arranged by school. We highly recommend Magpie to anyone seeking speech therapy for their child and set all the foundation. But be prepared — it requires full commitment, patience, and active involvement from parents. Magpie was like a second home for our son, and he was always happy to go there. Special thanks to Ms. Namrata Pie, who was incredibly supportive throughout our journey. My son improved a lot through this speech therapy center. My son could frame sentences, eating quality improved and he could sip on his own. Namrata mam and Kavya mam are very supportive. Pavithra mam and other therapists are also supportive. Namrata mam's Parent Training was very helpful and informative. Every Monday there was online training for parents which was very good. They conducted group classes which could support my son. Kavya mam was very friendly and was treating children with a lot of patience. My son also likes Kavya mam. If we ask any question she would ready to answer. Helpers Meenamma and Susheelamma always took care of children. Very thankful to the Magpie team and Kavya mam

One of our friends recommended Magpie. We enrolled our 4-year-old in the 4-month COSMOS program, designed to prepare children for school and social settings. We truly appreciated their method-based approach, which goes beyond focusing only on the child—it gives equal importance to parents and encourages active involvement. Over the course of these 4 months, there were numerous engaging activities and celebrations alongside regular speech therapy sessions. Our therapist, Sushmitha, was kind, patient, and understanding, making the journey a positive and enriching one!

Extremely polite and patient staff. They are empathetic and follow a child based approach. Pricing is quite reasonable. The team is very considerate in arranging sessions, despite the fact that I live in a different time zone(England). A special thanks to my 3yo’s SLT Niharika. Apart from the regular sessions, her parent coaching sessions are a cherry on the cake. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. I would definitely recommend Magpie Speech therapy.

My Experience with Magpie was Awesome. I am more than satisfied with the services. Their Speech therapy is wonderful. My son was always Happy to go. Ananya Ma'am has helped My LO, and her observations about his issues were excellent. She always listened to us carefully and adjusted the sessions as per his need. Parents trainings at Magpie are like Icing on the cake. Every single training that you attend will help you become a better parent.
