Summary: A city landmark and one of the best auditoriums to visit. Has a cafe and a book store. Rangashankara is one of the best places in Bengaluru for anyone who loves theatre. The space feels very welcoming and is designed in a way that brings audiences close to the performances. The sound and lighting are excellent, and you get a clear view of the stage from almost every seat. They offer a great mix of plays across different languages like Kannada, English, and Hindi, which keeps it interesting every time you visit. Ticket prices are very reasonable, making it easy for more people to enjoy live performances. The small café inside serves simple but tasty food and drinks — perfect for a quick bite before or after the play. The whole place is very clean and well maintained. Staff members are polite and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and focused on enjoying art. Parking can be a little difficult during busy shows, so it’s better to reach a bit early or take public transport. Overall, Rangashankara is a lovely place to experience good theatre and spend a quiet, meaningful evening. Highly recommend visiting if you enjoy live performances, or even if you are new to theatre!

This is a performing theatre venue with a capacity for around 300 viewers. The venue is in a busy area of Bangalore and has many a eateries nearby. The acoustics, lighting and the cushioned bench seating and all are well maintained. Very tiring to search for a four wheeler parking nearby on the busy streets nearby - especially when you reach the venue less than an hour to the show timing - as all the nearby available parking spaces will be full. The canteen is a real attraction here where the menu is seen elaborate on the wall & the "saboodana Vada" and chutney & pav bhaaji that we ate were very tasty. Male toilet was stinking bad where the management needs to give more attention to make your visit a really smooth... Overall a very good auditorium.

Sampath the manager, did not let us enter. As I am typing I am standing outside the theatre for the play 'des' 7;30pm. Reached at 7:41pm. There were 10 people already waiting and they did not let people enter who came 2 mns late. There is no respect for audience their time and money and effort to reach this place from across Bangalore. I would not recommend this place for any play. There are better auditoriums that have put up different great acts. We can surely ignore this place and show them that play and audience goes hand in hand. Don't go by the rating. Place must have been good in its olden days. But if you want to get insulted please go ahead and visit this place like me who wasted hard earned money and above all precious money for 30 mins of insult and turmoil into Ranga shankara and "Sampath". It's not worth it. Please preserve your peace and avoid this place. Also, this is not about the rules at all. It's about how you treat people, who due to various reasons can be late and you do not know their backdrop. Please groom your staffs in how to handle such situations peacefully rather than taking it personal and insulting. This staff named "Sampath" needs to take serious training in this. Every latecomers are not lazy they have specific reasons. Please respect that in the way you speak to them. Staff should be cultured enough before you say this space is for culture and arts. This wasn't expected of Ranga shankara. Banning this for life .one less problem in life

Ranga Shankara in JP Nagar is a great place for theatre lovers. The space is cozy, with good sound and a friendly atmosphere. I watched the play "Trial of Abdus Salam" here. It was powerful, emotional, and made you think. The story stayed with me long after it ended. With a nice café, book store and welcoming feel, Ranga Shankara is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys drama and culture. Just make sure you reach the venue 5 minutes before the show starts as they close doors to ensure the least disturbance to the artists.
