Passport Seva Kendra

8.1

The Passport Seva Kendra offers a structured process for obtaining or renewing passports. The application handling is generally efficient, prioritizing document verification. The experience is largely dependent on adherence to scheduled appointment times; arriving promptly is crucial to avoid unnecessary delays. While the facility strives for organization, crowds can occasionally impact flow, leading to extended wait times between counters.

Improvements could be made regarding the physical layout to enhance the overall comfort and ease of navigation. The provision of readily available information regarding the current status of applications would be beneficial. A dedicated area for first-time applicants with readily available guidance could also streamline the process and alleviate common uncertainties. Ultimately, the center plays a vital role in national security and citizen services.

I had applied for a normal appointment for my passport reissue and the entire process took me more than 3 hours. Getting token issued and passing through counter A was smooth. Getting through counters B and C took too long. Crowd management is very much needed.

The place is too crowded, no need to go early the security person will allow you as per reporting time hence, 30 minutes before reporting time would be fine.... Once you enter you are not allowed to go out. Initially they would ask for all documents and give you the token number, then you have to wait till your turn comes . We can see the token order in tv screens which they have displayed at the waiting area. Counter A : In this counter itself they would take photos , signature, spellings, address confirmation everything would be checked. This process might take 10 to 15 min that's it Counter B : To get into this B part itself will take 1 and half hour time waiting...... Here they will check all original documents which you would submit for the passport. Counter C: Even this C part would take 1 hour waiting time.... This is the final process for approval of passport & final verification of documents Then Exit Waiting time is too long you might spend an entire day here. The waiting area was too crowded even senior citizens were not finding seats hence seating arrangements could have been better as there are less seats.... They even have a cafeteria inside which is expensive and xerox shop as well if anyone has missed out to get photocopy. They have only one washroom for such a big crowd which is even more pathetic...

This Passport office (PSK) similar to other ones is also outsourced to TCS. People are professional in dealing stuff. But crowd management can be improved a lot. Securities don't even know local language / English which causes choas in the entry point & inspection area. Few Displays (for token number) are not working properly. No parking facilities.

Worst people. They don't know to handle the crowd. Bengaluru's worst passport seva kendra. Paid parking is available nearby. Take max to max one person along with u. Usually it's crowded. Better if you get morning slots. Don't have a near washroom facility also. Security people are the worst ones. Take some energy bars and ample water. Outside you will get some fruits n water.

I had gone for my Passport renewal here under tatkal on a Tuesday. I had been alloted 2pm slot. They don't allow entry at an earlier time than the assigned slot. I tried to go around 9.30am, but the guard did not allow to enter and asked to come at time slot assigned. There is a sitting shaded area within premise for waiting. Attendants cannot go inside the PSK unless accompanying kids or special needs applicants. Process includes entering the PSK, getting token, then Counter A, B, C The token for tatkal is given at an interior location and did not contain enough markings to reach there. I had to ask guards/assistants within the PSK to reach there. They ask for black-white photo copies (not coloured) of the documents like PAN, old passport. There is a photo copy shop within the PSK as well. My process took 4hrs. It is prefered if we get a morning slot as this place is usually very crowded with more than 1k applicants. There are decent waiting seats infront of each counter. But after lunch due to backlog, it gets overcrowded. In my case, 1) 30min waiting outside PSK. Queue 2) 1hr waiting to get tatkal token number assigned due to already present backlogs 3) 30min for both A, B counters processing+ waiting. These were quickest 3) Close to 2hr waiting for counter C. My process completed at 6pm Parking can be found at 2 paid parking sports near psk. One is just next to the PSK but is slightly complex to take cars in and out. The other paid parking is ~100m away. It's a bit smaller but easier to take cars in and out. Price is same for both parking. My police verification happened the next day. Passport arrived within a week of going to the PSK. In my case, my passport was issued in UP and I renewed it with Bangalore address. There was no problem in address change across state as long as there is address proof available.

Had my passport appointment on a Saturday at 9:00 AM. Reached by 8:45 and was allowed in on time — don’t be late. After getting the token, they checked all my documents: passport, two photocopies of the front and back page, Aadhaar, PAN, and an address proof (I took a gas bill — rent agreement also works). Make sure you carry all photocopies, but in case you forget, there’s a helpful photocopy shop inside. The process goes through three counters: Counter A: Photo and initial document check – done in 10 mins. Counter B: Original documents checked – took about 30 mins. Counter C: Final check and verification – another 30 mins. In total, I was done in 1 hour 20 minutes. Stepped out by 10:20 AM, had a Masala Dosa at MTR Lalbagh, and wrapped up a smooth, well-managed experience. Be prepared, and it’s a breeze! Edit 1: Got called for police verification on Monday, status changed to verified by Friday. Waiting for Passport now. Edit 2: Got the passport on Tuesday In total it took 10 days from appointment to passport delivery.

Decent experience with my Tatkal Appointment for reissue of Passport Please reach as per Appointment time and once allow you, as for the Tatkal section where your documents will be verified physically after which you will head to counter A for digital scans and upload of your documents. Here is where you also make the payment and most importantly get your photo clicked. Make sure all your details are correctly entered and if not, please ensure that here because you will live these details for the next 10 years. In my view this is the most important step of the process which is handled well and is transparent. Counter B is a quick intermediate step for verification of your originals. And then the real area for improvement begins. Moving from counter B to counter C is managed through token display counter. This is great but the whole waiting process is haphazard. There are people heading towards counter B and some waiting for counter C and some waiting at the APO ( Assistant Passport Officer ) for extra service support on their passport. So there is a criss-cross of people at this waiting area and this can surely be improved. My process from Entry to exit took 90 minutes. Not so bad. Could be improved to 45 minutes with better queue management. Hints: Please carry your own bottle as there are no special areas for water. And also it is always better to carry one as a good habit. Please also take a cab and reach here unless you want to pay and park because there are no special parking facilities for applicants. Please also carry cash of INR 2000 because they do not accept payments via UPI. Most importantly, carry all the documents with originals as per the website, with two self-attested copies. You do not want to be sent back for not meeting the requirements. Overall a decent experience. Happy Travels and Visits 🙂 Update: Got my passport delivered in less than two working days. Cheers to the efficiency of Delivery and meeting the expectations:)
