Tis really nice
Asmita Das (☆ 5/5)

The food was not extremely good, but definitely good. Not as much as the hype says. We ate outside the restaurant, by the road side. There were rats near the restaurant where people sat to eat. The food was surprisingly well priced. Overall, would recommend for a local, but as a tourist it’s not that great of a place to put in a bucket list.
Vivek V J (☆ 4/5)

What a place extremely amazing
Authentic fresh food served at the most budget price
The chutney is simply amazing
Very organised place
A counter for bill in the same row you get idli vada continuing the same line or quene you get dosa a seperate counter for extra chutney
Mehak Gupta (☆ 5/5)

Taaza Thindi’s Jayanagar outlet is a highly popular self-service eatery, renowned for its incredibly hygienic and cost-effective breakfast items. Their limited menu includes staples like idli, vada, dosa, kharabhat, kesari bhat, tea, and coffee. Notably, only chutney is served with the items, there’s no sambar.
The preparation area is consistently clean and well-maintained. However, seating is quite limited, and you’ll almost always find a queue, especially for dosa items. During peak breakfast and evening hours, particularly on weekends, the crowd can be quite unmanageable. Due to its location, there’s no room for expansion, and even two-wheeler parking can be difficult.
Despite the crowd, the food quality shines. The idlis are wonderfully soft and pair exceptionally well with their standout chutney, which complements every item perfectly. Prices are very moderately set, offering great value. The presence of two token counters helps manage the flow, but be prepared for a bustling atmosphere. Overall, Taaza Thindi is a fantastic option for a quick, delicious, and budget-friendly South Indian breakfast, provided you don’t mind the crowds and limited seating.
saish gaonkar (☆ 5/5)

The food is amazing. Great for a quick bite breakfast.
Masala butter dosa, idly, vada and cutting coffee. Amazing preparation.
Tough to find a place to sit. No siting space available – except for bench for some folks to sit and eat. Can have 10minutes + waiting time.
varun kalra (☆ 5/5)

Always wanted to try out early morning breakfast at this place. Reached at around 8am and it was operating in full swing. So much crowd, but very organised.
▪️Seating: Indoor seating is available but very limited, can sit outside as well
▪️Service: Self-service. Take the token and stand in the queue to get the famous dosae.
▪️Food: Wide variety of items and amazing quality & taste at super affordable price.
▪️Ambience: Good – Very simple & authentic place.
My order – Idli & Vada, masala dosa, Kesari bhaat and their chutney is the best
Overall Verdict: Highly Recommended ✅
Mehul Chaudhary (☆ 5/5)

Customer Reviews
Tried the MTR podi dosa and it was absolutely great—flavorful and perfectly crisp. We also had the wada and neer dosa, both of which were satisfying. The coffee was nice and strong, just the way I like it, and the tea was good too. A solid spot for authentic South Indian snacks and beverages!
just kruti (☆ 4/5)

We visited this MTR outlet recently for having our breakfast. We had a great experience.
We tried below items…
1. Masala Dosa (tasty)
2. Podi Dosa (must try)
3. Curd Vada (must try)
4. Mini Tiffin
5. Masala Tea
All items were equally good. Must visit place for enjoying South indian delicates.
In case you are sitting in ground floor, little crowded. Cheaper food. First floor is less crowded and costlier.
Debabrata Podder (☆ 5/5)

Well a great place indeed, truly maintaining it’s legacy and fame. The masala dosa and the vada was crispy and really good, the idli was extremely soft and spongy, the buttermilk was good enough, the coffee was a bit bitter but you have the option for sugar and jaggery so you can add sugar/jaggery according to your taste. They may provide some extra milk for the coffee. Overall the place was quite clean, the service was fast enough. The place could get a bit crowded with the time so if you reach the place early you may find a seat for yourself. No parking space is available so you need to park your vehicles safely beside the road. Reservations can be done in advance ( I am not aware of the terms or condition if any). Well if you wanna enjoy a decent and proper south Indian tiffin and breakfast. this place is indeed a must try. The prices seems reasonable enough and quite fair as well.

A Timeless Bangalore Culinary Journey at MTR (Mavalli Tiffin Rooms)
Our evening visit to MTR was an absolute delight, a true testament to the legendary eatery’s enduring appeal. Stepping into MTR feels like stepping back in time, with its charming, no-frills ambiance that speaks to decades of culinary tradition.
For dinner, we opted for the special thali, and it was nothing short of magnificent. Each component, from the array of curries and vegetables to the perfectly steamed rice and a crisp papad, was a testament to authentic South Indian flavors. It was a well-balanced and incredibly satisfying meal that truly showcased the breadth of MTR’s culinary expertise.
Beyond the thali, we indulged in several other MTR classics, each delivering on its promise of deliciousness. The dosa was archetypally perfect – golden, crispy, and served with their signature sambar and chutneys that are simply unparalleled. The rava dosa offered a delightful textural contrast, light and flavorful. The bonda soup was a comforting revelation, with perfectly soft bondas swimming in a savory, aromatic broth.
And of course, no MTR meal would be complete without their iconic bisibele bhat – a rich, comforting, and subtly spiced rice dish that is a meal in itself. We also enjoyed the cooling and tangy curd rice, a perfect counterpoint to the more robust flavors.
To conclude our feast, a steaming cup of their famous coffee was the ideal finish. It’s strong, aromatic, and provides that quintessential South Indian coffee kick that leaves you feeling utterly content.
Before leaving, I couldn’t resist picking up “The MTR Story” book. Having now delved into its pages, I can confidently say it’s a must-buy for anyone interested in food history, the evolution of a culinary institution, or simply a fascinating read about the legacy of MTR. It offers wonderful insights into the brand’s journey and ethos.
Our evening at MTR was more than just a meal; it was an experience. It’s a place where tradition meets taste, delivering authentic South Indian cuisine with unwavering quality. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, MTR is an essential stop for anyone seeking a true taste of Bangalore’s culinary heritage. We left feeling nourished, satisfied, and already planning our next visit.
Abhiram Rajandekar (☆ 5/5)

MTR 1924 Indiranagar is truly lives up to its timeless reputation. The pricing felt fair, considering the exceptional quality and authentic taste.
We tried there both the Thalis, and every bite reflected the rich culinary heritage that MTR is famous for.
The service was prompt, and the staff was courteous, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience. The ambience also stood out clean, calm, and inviting, creating the perfect setting to enjoy classic South Indian delicacies.
If you are visiting Bangalore, MTR 1924 in Indiranagar is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience authentic South Indian food. Highly recommended.
Manir khan (☆ 5/5)

Average outlet with a different Dosa and a rawa Idli. I found dosa decent and a bit different which is good. Rava Idli was different but I didn’t find it facinating. Else, I didn’t find anything special in this. The place was smelling, may be because it rained that day. But washrooms were very dirty.
Kesari Bath is better avoided. It doesn’t taste good.
Yashkirat Singh (☆ 2/5)

Well for starters, its opposite to the famous Rameshwaram Cafe but nevertheless MTR is a legendary Eatry in itself and the best part is you can sit and eat in peace unlike the ( you know where )
1. The masala dosa was bang on. Crispy yet soft and filled with smashing masala. It’s not accompanied by the red tangy tomato chutney but one could request and the staff is kind to catter to it. Pour that ghee from that cute bowl and only as much as you need. (Rated -4/5)
2. Medu vada – The vada was good but it felt a little pricier compared to some other places but definitely worth a try.

SLV Corner Veg Restaurant in Basavanagudi is a standout destination for anyone who appreciates excellent vegetarian cuisine. We recently dined there and were thoroughly impressed by the experience. The mushroom Manchurian was rich and flavorful, the butter naan was baked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning, and the kaju masala was creamy and delicious. Each dish was a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality. The warm, welcoming ambiance and attentive service further elevated our dining experience. SLV Corner is definitely a top choice for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable vegetarian meals bonda soup car & bike parking in road with security safe !!!

Great place to head out to after your sacred experience in the Ramkrishna Mission matha. Try the neer dosa for an unforgettable memory. Friendly and prompt service. Just go for it.
Kranthi Kiran (☆ 5/5)

Authentic south and north indian food with the most delicious and distinct taste and flavour… favourite joint of the local kannadigas and the restaurant has its own rustic charm
Ayappa K N (☆ 5/5)

I recently visited the restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food tasted really good – fresh and flavorful. I was also impressed by how fast the service was; everything arrived promptly, which made for a smooth dining experience.
However, I found the prices a bit on the higher side, especially for simple items like idli, vada, and coffee. Given the quality and portion sizes, they didn’t quite feel worth the cost.
Overall, great taste and service, but the value for money could be better.

Konark Vegetarian Restaurant offers a delightful experience for those seeking flavorful, purely vegetarian cuisine. The ambiance is pleasant and the staff are generally attentive, creating a comfortable setting for a meal with family or friends. The presentation of the dishes is carefully considered, enhancing the dining experience.
While the menu is expansive and features many appealing choices, the overall value for money could be improved. The quality of the food is certainly high and the service is well-intentioned, which makes for a pleasant visit.

Customer Reviews
The food here is a little on the pricey side but the quantity is good enough and the taste is good.
Tables are screwed in so adjusting can feel difficult towards the sofa sides.
The served water there is not good though they claim it is RO, there is some foul taste to it; recommend to buy a water bottle.
The plates always kept slipping while eating. It just did not have enough grip to hold on while eating.
Atharav Pujari (☆ 3/5)

It was a rainy evening when we went. The management has a couple of car’s parking spots out front. If that gets filled up, within the premises there’s paid parking which is ridiculous. The management can come to an understanding with the paid parking staff and upon producing the bill of the hotel, parking fees can be waived off. I found that as a hiccup. Other than that the food seemed fine and tasty. It was very crowded after 8:00 pm. So if you’re a family or group of friends, prior intimation might help.
Shashaank CD (☆ 4/5)

Visited this place after about 15 yrs, and of course things have changed.
The service is great, and there is ample seating space. We were a large group and were able to find appropriate seating.
The food is okay. Pricing seems appropriate.
Cars can be parked in front of the restaurant, however that can accommodate about 10 cars or so.
Cards, cash and UPI payments accepted here.
Sharath R Babu (☆ 3/5)

Walk in. Rawa masala dosa was yummy except a bit more oily. Filter coffee wasn’t that good as milk was diluted with water. Mango juice was not authentic. Service was poor as service staff was not focused. The ambience was good. Overall a pretty good experience
Amith K (☆ 3/5)

Very nice pure vegetarian food, As a family party we ordered different items like north Indian , Chinese, dosas , ice creams. Each item was tasty and authentic. One remark is quantity is less compared to respective rates. The atmosphere is cool with AC. Interiors, neat ness OK, service good. Enjoyed lunch.
Surendra R Phadke (☆ 5/5)

The place was premium and the food quality was top notch. Staff were friendly and the ambience was great. If you want to dine at a premium restaurant which can go above 300/- pax, then you can give this restaurant a try.
One thing to note is that, they don’t have thali-type meals. They have a lot of Chinese cuisines though.

Thank you, the food was really good, we enjoyed it. Just a small note — it felt like the tone while taking the order (by the guy with red tie on 14 June) was a bit rushed or stern. Maybe a slightly warmer approach could make the experience even better.

It is apparent that a significant effort is made to offer a broad selection of dishes, catering to varied palates and preferences. The presentation of the food is thoughtfully considered, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
The atmosphere is welcoming and contributes to a relaxing environment. They provide a unique touch with their service, bringing appetizers and soup directly to the tables, which is a nice gesture. A diverse array of desserts and even unique items like pizza and various ice cream flavors are also noteworthy, making it a complete and satisfying culinary adventure.

I have recently visited the place with my office colleagues. The food was very tasty. The starters and Main course were delicious. They have plenty of options in sweets too. Our group enjoyed the food a lot. We definitely recommend this place to our friends.
Vani Pawar (☆ 5/5)

The food at Sattvam is exceptional! I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I visited but I enjoyed my meal here. All the buffet dishes are presented beautifully and tasted very good. I loved how the starters were brought to the table directly. There were so many dishes that I couldn’t try all of them but will definitely come back for more.
Neha Vl (☆ 5/5)

Wide spread satvik buffet where the taste is not compromised. Filled with all the scrumptious varieties of cuisines, pasta and pizza surprises you with the delicious taste. All the dishes were really tasty. Nice ambiance and cleanliness maintained.. Soup and starters will be served to the table. Desserts are also the highlight! Entire buffet was really good.
Harini V (☆ 4/5)

It’s a very dull old vibe as compared to JP nagar ones and Whitefield one. Food is also not as delicious as the other two branches. Very average shadi wala khana. Starters served in limited quantity, soup was below average, Desserts were tasteless and cold as if kept in fridge for days. May it be paneer or dal makhani or khichdi or other things in main course. Didn’t feel like eating any of them.
Good if you want to take old parents for family dinner, but there are many better options at this or lower rates.
jaya pailoor (☆ 2/5)

We had a fantastic time here, starters served at the table and then mains and dessert buffet style. Lots of exelent food, well prepared and tasty. They also had Jain Food and north and south India food. There was different Ice creams and pizza too. We got Paan served after our lunch in the most interesting way, in a bowl with dry ice and the smoke it created flowed over the table, it reallj looked cool. Go on, spoil yourself, you deserve it!
Sir Werner (☆ 5/5)

Thanks to supervisor lady we were able to get a table on a holiday. Ambience and atmosphere is nice. Lots of items to eat. Can’t cover all of them. Most of the desserts are of same sort like all are cake based. They could have included other Indian sweet dishes. They don’t use garlic and onion which is good. But they have included mostly sugar based sweets which I felt is not a Satvic food. Taste also didn’t have wider range.

Veg Thali – 6/10
Veg Kholapuri – 5/10
Makki ki roti – 4/10
Bajra roti – 4/10
1st visit,
The veg kholapuri was below average.
No spice. Just ordinary base gravy and bunch of veggies.
The rotis chosen didn’t go well one bit with the gravy. That’s more on me. However for 500+ total this was a waste. Taste was well below average
2nd visit,
Ordered the veg thali. The rotis were not good. The gravies were below average as well. The potato in the sabji wasn’t cooked well but was much better than the other gravies. Raita was the only good item.
Very very average. Have had way better thalis for much cheaper at Udupi restaurants.
Service was good both the times.
Overall though, this place is a hard pass from me.
Tanishq K (☆ 2/5)

We indeed were excited with the ambience and anticipated food which would revive the desi inside us!
But, it missed to strike us!
Not many pictures but overall we felt the food items lack balance in flavours.
The mouthfeel of every dish was out of sync.
Overall, they didn’t come out as expected when put together.
Aryan (☆ 3/5)

The food was delicious and the service was great. Had to wait over 10 minutes just to get in but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommend.
Bikash (☆ 5/5)

Surprisingly there was no wait time. Always, make sure you come here early as there would be a good amount of waiting time.
The food was good. Service has improved over the years.

The overall meal was quite satisfying, with a few standout highlights that truly elevated the experience.
Rajasthani Bhindi Fry – A delightful surprise! Perfectly spiced and crispy, it captured the essence of traditional Rajasthani flavors. Easily the star of the meal.
Lauki ka Halwa – Comforting and rich, with just the right amount of sweetness. A rare treat that was both nostalgic and indulgent.
Would definitely come back just for these two!
Vivek Shenoy K (☆ 5/5)

Awesome experience with respect to food, service, cleanliness, ambience etc. They provide many items in Jain. Please be careful in mentioning the level of spice. One thing we were disappointed about was that they denied 2 wheeler parking in their parking area. They just had parking space for 4 wheeler vehicles which was difficult to find the parking and park at our own risk on the road side.
Hetvi Gandhi (☆ 5/5)

Visited this village-themed restaurant recently and it was a mixed experience. The ambiance is quite unique with both high chairs and traditional village-style seating, which gives a nice rustic vibe.
The staff is friendly and the service is quick, which is a definite plus. The menu is simple and easy to choose from. Masala papad and masala buttermilk are must-tries – really flavorful and refreshing!
However, when it comes to pricing, I felt it was on the expensive side, especially for basic items like roti and curry. You can find similar dishes for a much lower price in places like Udupi or Sagar hotels.
A couple of things to keep in mind:
• They only have 4-wheeler parking, no space for 2-wheelers, so plan accordingly.
• If you’re going in a group of more than 6 people, it’s better to call ahead and reserve a table.
Nice place for a one-time experience, mainly for the ambiance. Worth visiting if you’re curious about the theme, but not the best value for money.

It’s an authentic Burmese pure veg restaurant not to be missed.
The flavour of Burma with their staple food brought right on the table.
Not to be missed is their Samosa Soup. I was lost in the flavour and taste.
Spicy tea leaf & #avocado salad and tea leaf #salad with the crunch were both healthy and tasty.
We ordered multiple drinks and none of them disappointed. They were all refreshing and perfect for the summer.
The #dessert menu is also exclusive. Saffron and Samuza cheesecake was heavenly.
Vishwas CR (☆ 5/5)

I visited this place with friends on a weekend evening. The management doesn’t allow advance bookings so one has to walk-in and ask for the table on-the-fly.
After waiting for 45 minutes, we got the table for 4. The ambience is good and the interiors are also beautiful. The staff is really polite with the ordering, serving and the management of high footfall. We ordered Bubble Tea, Khao sew, Spring Roll salad, and Stir fry Rice Bowl. Staff served for us as per our requirement. The portion size was appropriate for us. The food was initially bland, but we were given sides, toppings, sauces etc to customize the taste.
There is no dedicated parking but one can give a car for Valet. Two wheeler owners have to find the parking space in nearby lanes. Overall our experience was good. I am up to visit other branches of Burma Burma also.
Khwahish Gupta (☆ 4/5)

They have a very different taste and menu. I really like the names and delicious food. Their coconut milk dip is awesome. I have never had cotton soft buns which I had here. Bubbles in the bubble tea were very chewy and dumplings I didn’t like. Rest all was good.
Recommendation – Lotus stem chips, bun with any stuffing, falafal, potato wo, cheese cake, noodles
Not recommended – bubble tea, panna cotta
Monika Garg (☆ 5/5)

Unique Culinary Experience at Burma Burma.
Burma Burma offers a truly unique vegetarian dining experience with flavors. The menu is thoughtfully curated, featuring authentic Burmese dishes that are hard to find elsewhere. Every dish is a blend of rich spices, textures, and vibrant presentations, making it a delight for food enthusiasts.
However, while the flavors and ambiance are top-notch, the pricing is on the higher side. It’s an excellent place for a special occasion or to explore new cuisines. That said, the experience, service, and exclusivity of the dishes make it worth trying.
Paras Rathod (☆ 4/5)

One of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve visited in Bangalore! As a non-veg eater, I was surprised by how flavorful and satisfying the food was. We tried noodles, red chili rice, mock meat, and their unique teas — all were excellent. Great hospitality too. Highly recommend this place if you’re around Indiranagar!
Akhil Nath (☆ 5/5)

Best fine dining restaurant in Indiranagar
Ambience was really was although place was noisy , staffs were humble
KHAO SUEY: was 10/10 perfectly balanced with richness of curry and vegetables.
SAMOSA SOUP: 10/10 a must try item
Bao: 9/10
There was a long waiting so dont forget to book prior
APU 0007 (☆ 5/5)

Wanna try out some Asian food but want it in a pure veg style ? This would be the place you should be looking for
It is am authentic restaurant for enjoying Burmese food. (Burma, old name for Myanmar)
The Ambience over here is quite good and the crowd is decent.
The service at this restaurant is really commendable. They have a very food service and team of people that caters the customers in the best way possible even on crowded weekends and long waitlist days.
The food here is on the expensive side but is worth the price paid. They are several delicacies that you can be try and you won’t be disappointed.
My recommendation for wanna try food would be Burmese Khou Souey (IT IS AWESOME, MUST TRY !!) and Lotus Stem Chips(Can be taken as starters , tastes very good with variety of sauces/chutneys they provide on the table)
The best part about this restaurant, for me, is that it is a pure veg restaurant. Its very hard to find a good pure veg restaurant and that too with a good ambience and Asian food.

Customer Reviews
Recently visited a cafe in Bangalore with my friend, and it turned out to be such a great experience! We ordered pizza, soup, and noodles — all purely vegetarian, and everything tasted really good. The place has a really cool vibe, with an ambience that’s super cozy and perfect for chilling with friends or even family. They even have a big screen where they play live matches, which adds to the fun especially if you’re visiting during game time! One thing to note is that the kitchen closes at 4 PM, but luckily we made it just in time and still got our food. The service was honestly amazing — the staff were really polite Totally recommend this spot if you’re looking for a nice veg cafe with chill vibes and good food in Bangalore!
Madhu Shalini (☆ 4/5)

There were some dishes on thr menu that I hvnt heard of or tried anywhere else but they were delicious. We got the crsipy baby corn sticks which were served in a martini glass with this hot chilli sauce and was honestly a delectable combination. I also loved the Chao lung fung soup. It was a clear soup with the interesting vegetables. The other Italian options were also really good.
Keerthi patil (☆ 4/5)

Had been here for lunch with friends, great place to hang out, nice ambience & tasty food too.
Tried many veg starters along with Veg & Mushroom biryani.
Everything tasted awesome.
Vasanthi Nagam (☆ 5/5)

Delicious Food with Room for Improvement
We had a great dining experience at this cafe in Bangalore, with a menu that impressed us with its flavors and variety. We started with Farmhouse and Spiced Tomato Pizza, Corn Bane Angare, and Chapate Cones, all of which were delicious. The pizza had a perfect balance of crispiness and cheesiness, the Corn Bane Angare was flavorful and crunchy, and the Chapate Cones were a unique, tasty surprise.
For the main course, we tried Kakke Di Roti, Siddu Paji Da Paratha, Chur Chur Naan, and Cheesy Bell Pepper Naan, paired with Bandli Mix and Peshwari Kofta. The variety of breads was excellent, and the gravies were rich and flavorful, especially the Peshwari Kofta, which stood out with its creamy texture and well-balanced spices.
We also ordered Parinda, Red Riding Hood, and Husky Watermelon for drinks, and they were refreshing and well-prepared.
While the food was overall delicious, the taste and portion sizes could have been a bit better for the price. The flavors were great, but a little more balance in seasoning would have made it even better.
A solid 4-star experience—great ambiance, delicious food, and a place worth visiting again!
snehal joshi (☆ 4/5)

Good environment for meeting up with friends or family. They have a huge variety in food, India – South, North, Continental and Global cuisines. Service was quick and staff are really well mannered and accomodative.
Sujatha K (☆ 5/5)

“I recently visited with friends and had a great experience! The ambiance was cozy and intimate, with a lovely outdoor seating area. The service was attentive and friendly, with our server knowledgeable about the menu. Also the steward Miss Kim was really helpful and polite.
The food was delicious, with standout dishes. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable.
Overall, I’d highly recommend this place for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!”

1947 Restaurant offers a distinctive dining experience, clearly prioritizing a commitment to vegetarian cuisine. The atmosphere appears to be designed for a sense of occasion, suggesting it’s well-suited for celebrations and gatherings. The overall impression is of a place where attention is paid to the presentation and quality of food, with staff seemingly trained to provide a helpful and attentive service. Consistent food quality appears to be a key aspect of their offering.
Based on observations, the restaurant’s buffet option seems to be a major draw, offering a wide selection of dishes to cater to various tastes. While providing a breadth of choices, maintaining the correct temperatures for all food seems to be an area where improvements might be beneficial to further enhance the customer experience. The restaurant’s commitment to vegetarian options and its potential for special events sets it apart.

Timeless Flavors, Elegant Vibes – A Pure Veg Delight! If you’re looking for a place that blends heritage-inspired ambience with delicious vegetarian food, then 1947 Restaurant in Malleshwaram is a must-visit. It’s one of those restaurants that doesn’t just serve food—it tells a story. Perfect for family dinners, celebrations, or even a quiet date night.
They have both the options Buffet and Ala Carte
Serving Authentic North Indian food
Staff was polite, well-dressed, and attentive throughout. Food arrived on time, and they even helped us with suggestions based on our taste preferences. Really well-trained and professional team
Gourav Mahendra (☆ 5/5)

The place is just okay.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t feel fresh. When we eat out, we expect the food to make us feel good and happy, but that was missing. The taste, salt, and spice levels all need serious improvement.
As for the vibe, it honestly felt like I was in a fish market. The crowd management is terrible. People were standing around the buffet counters eating, and when you try to walk through, they almost fall on you. It was chaotic and far from a pleasant dining experience.
The service also needs attention. The stewards weren’t engaging. They simply showed us to our seats, and the next time we saw them was when they brought the bill. There was no check-in to ask how the food was or if we needed anything , basic hospitality was missing.
Sapna (☆ 3/5)

This is a patriotic themed restaurant and the ambiance is okay. The menu is completely vegetarian which I loved as so many choices of different vegetarian food.
I felt it was a bit pricey, the quantity is huge so not really feasible if two or one go, and the service can be a bit better as the server who attended us was very good but he did not know to serve the food, he literally threw it in our plate.
Deepika V (☆ 4/5)

Went for a sunday lunch buffet. There is a good variety of dishes including chats, pasta, momos, starters, noodles, rice and desserts. Taste is okay. Decent service and ambience. Okay for a one time visit. Limited underground 2 & 4 wheeler parking available. Reservations recommended.
Sneha Shenoy (☆ 3/5)

One of the best places in Bengaluru for Veg food, especially buffet. They have both buffet dining and a la carte dining.
Buffet features quite a good variety of food items, from chaats to asian starters to good multi cuisine options in main course and desserts.
A must visit with friends and family.
Do reserve in advance as they get pretty full soon.
Krithika C (☆ 5/5)

We went for the buffet lunch. Food was tasty and many varieties.
One star less because food was not hot even though we reached at 12.30pm itself. Malai Kofta was even at the room temperature ( not even warm) we had to ask the staff to take it back and heat it up.
There are supervisors but I don’t know how they are not checking the warmth of food even though they charge comparatively more in this restaurant.
A bit disappointed
Rengesh K (☆ 4/5)

Been going regularly for last 7+ years. Still enjoy the spread and taste. They are consistent and do surprise with delightful enhancements some times

Tried Go Native Jayanagar, to enjoy a different experience from the normal restaurant settings. It was a truly remarkable experience. They are an elegant and charming vegetarian restaurant with a wide variety of delicious foods. Their menu is elaborate and rich, I was a bit perplexed about ordering but the service staffs were very helpful to guide and helped to choose the best options. Much like the food the designing of restaurant was also so refreshing and pleasing, a perfect spot for mindful, wholesome dining. The spaces are adorned with natural materials—wooden furniture, terracotta tiles, earthy tones, and lots of indoor plants—that create a warm, serene atmosphere. Definitely recommended for a dining experience that is both flavorful and aesthetically pleasing.
Praveen (☆ 5/5)

Over-hyped, expensive restaurant, favourite among the food vloggers.
Thali is priced at Rs 580+ tax containing 12 items (Limited ). 1 Chutney, 1 Sweet dish, 1 piece of Paneer, 1 cup of white rice, 2 Curries, 1 Phulka, yes they serve only one phulka, 1 cup of Raitha, 1 tasteless Sabudana vada. 1 bowl of colour rice !!!
For this price, you get a widespread unlimited veg buffet in nearby restaurants.
The taste was average, nothing exceptional.
Mocktails: We order Jamun Kala katta priced at Rs 250. which is not worth even Rs 20. It was served warm and without fizz.
Service: when we entered the restaurant, a few tables were unoccupied , but waiters kept telling us that they were all reserved. We were told to have a look at the walk through cloth stores until the seat are available!!
It took 15 mins for them to take the order and further 20 mins to serve it.
Last but not least, serving two pieces of jackfruit kofta on Tomato rice baath is not an nnovation.

A different menu, different tastes, different environment. Located in heart of Jayanagar, Go Native offers a different cuisine and tastes good too. Ambience is good with walk through shops, balcony seats, home like atmosphere. Food is expensive but can try. Good place for vegetarian dining. End up shopping few things belonging to old and nee generations. A different experience. Beware of spending!
Prabha Shankar (☆ 5/5)

Been for lunch, ambience is good with lots of greenery. We got a table immediately.
We had ordered –
Broccoli & rocket feta pizza
Masala margherita pizza
Flat bean & Edamame thupka
Kokum cumin mojito
Brahmi lemon sharbath
Food was average, nothing stood out.
Prices are on the higher side. Service was prompt. Restrooms are neat.
Indu (☆ 3/5)

Go native has outlets in multiple places, I visited the Jayanagar one. The place is cosy and has lots of greenery. The ground floor is dedicated to the retail items. The first floor is for the restaurant, with a small shopping space in between. The seating space is large, options are available for both indoor and outdoor seating, with suitable tables to accommodate various group sizes.
Service is very slow for any item, even with very less crowd.
I chose to sit in the balcony. While the ambience is pleasant, some of the tables have the light hanging a tad low, such that the heat from the bulb can be felt.
I tasted different items and have given reviews below.
1.) Mezze platter bowl- 1.5/5
The place isn’t exactly known for middle eastern food, but since I was in the mood for this cuisine I went ahead with the order. The plate was pretty to look at, with 4 pieces of falafel and 4 of pita bread. The falafel was crisp and tasty. The beetroot hummus was tasty and the normal one was ok. The 2 bean salad was nothing great. The quantity of sauteed spinach is tiny. The biggest letdown was the pita. It was not at all cooked properly. Hard and tough, it had remnants of the flour dusted and clearly wasn’t oven cooked or even tava cooked. I left the pita completely, as I was scared of eating undercooked dough. Priced at 435/- including taxes, I wouldn’t recommend this dish. Seeing the pictures in the review, I saw that the phulka also didn’t seem cooked well. I decided that next time, I will avoid dough dishes and try something else.
2.) Zucchini zoodles with kofta curry- 5/5 –
The disappointment of the above dish was compensated by this dish! It was awesome. The noodles are made of zucchini and have a light smoky flavour. The kofta is simply delicious. The gravy is perfectly spiced and the kofta balls are great. Together, it’s a must have! It did not sit heavy in my stomach like conventional noodles yet was filling. The spices are gentle on the taste buds yet you can taste them long after finishing the dish. It’s priced at 540/- incl taxes and service charge.
3.) Cajun spiced jackfruit pizza- 1.5/5 –
I ordered this dish in great anticipation after tasting zoodles. Alas, I was left completely disappointed. Made on a millet base (option of ragi is there), it was the most tasteless dish I have ever eaten. The base had absolutely no seasoning. The toppings followed the same story. I could not find any spice in the jackfruit. Given that cheese is used in less quantity, they should use some sauce on the pizza. This will make it more tasty. There was absolutely nothing at all in the dish. Recommended to avoid it completely. The total bill of 594/- was a waste indeed. They gave 3 tiny pieces of complimentary coconut burfi with the bill, which was nice.
radhika anantharaman (☆ 3/5)

Amazing food and the ambience! Good for peaceful dining or lunch! Rice bowls are great! I recommend jackfruit Donne biryani, one of the best!

Frequently Asked Questions about Vegetarian Restaurants in Bangalore
What makes Bangalore a good city for vegetarians?
Bangalore has long been recognized as a vegetarian-friendly city, largely due to a strong tradition of vegetarianism rooted in cultural and religious practices. The city boasts a diverse range of vegetarian cuisines, from traditional South Indian fare to global vegetarian options. The growing awareness of health and sustainability also contributes to the flourishing vegetarian scene.
Are there enough vegetarian restaurants in Bangalore?
Absolutely! Bangalore has an abundance of vegetarian restaurants catering to a wide range of tastes and budgets. You’re likely to find multiple vegetarian options on almost every restaurant menu, and there are countless restaurants that are entirely vegetarian or even vegan. Finding a delicious vegetarian meal is rarely a challenge.
What types of vegetarian cuisine can I find in Bangalore?
Bangalore offers a remarkable variety of vegetarian cuisines. You're spoiled for choice with traditional South Indian food like dosas, idlis, and vadas. Beyond that, you can find North Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, and Continental vegetarian options. Many restaurants specialize in specific types of vegetarian cuisine, offering unique and flavorful experiences.
How do I distinguish between a purely vegetarian and a vegetarian-friendly restaurant?
It's important to note the difference. A purely vegetarian restaurant (often indicated by "veg" or "vegetarian" in their name) doesn't serve any meat or fish. A vegetarian-friendly restaurant offers vegetarian dishes alongside meat and fish options. Always check the menu or inquire to confirm the restaurant’s practices if this distinction is important to you.
What about vegan options? Are they readily available?
While Bangalore is primarily vegetarian, vegan options can be a little more difficult to find but are increasingly available. Many purely vegetarian restaurants are willing to accommodate vegan requests by omitting dairy and eggs. Dedicated vegan restaurants are also emerging, making it easier to find truly vegan meals. Checking online menus and reviews is highly recommended.
What are some popular or highly-rated vegetarian restaurants in Bangalore?
Some popular and highly-rated vegetarian restaurants include MTR for traditional South Indian breakfast, CTR for its famous button idli, Shree Sagar for dosas, and Brahmin’s Coffee Bar for a simple yet satisfying South Indian breakfast.
