DesignCafe Experience Centre, MG Road

We got the interiors done by DC and the 5stars I have rated is for designer Swati and Project Manager Hemant who went out of his ways to advice and guide. For DC as a whole I would definitely give 0 stars due to lack of communication as they spoilt my House Warming by not completing the project on time and didn't even have the courtesy to apologize.

Interior for my home was designed and executed well by design cafe team. Thanks to Swathi Raj for the design and PM Abhish for coordination. Carpentry work was executed well, all our concerns were addressed. Post work cleaning was done well.

We got the wardrobes done through DC and the finishing was good. They have wide verity of the designs and options and they do customisation. They were supportive to change the design to meet our minute details. There design team is highly supportive and suggested the good options to choose from. Over all we are satisfied with the work. I would like to thank Swathi and the Syed for the timely interventions.

I would like to particularly thank Swathi the designer assigned to us ..The designer was excellent at understanding our vision and translating it into a beautiful and functional space. We particularly appreciate the thoughtful use of natural light and the way the designer integrated our living space to a happy place .apart that the execution was very well done and the only negative but very importantly the implementation team was very annoying and delays they made were pathetic ..overall the result is promising

Our experience with Design Cafe MG Road branch has been excellent. Designer Ms Sonia was good with 2D & 3D drawings at the Design stage and really assisted us in clearing all our queries patiently. Initially we experienced a bit of glitch in Production timeline but the DC team managed the situation very well to ensure overall deadline doesn’t get affected. Project Manager Mr Hemanth Achar has expertise in executing & implementing installation work with zero mistakes, concerns or hassles & is very flexible and supportive. Overall it was a memorable experience with the team of Design Cafe MG Road branch.

Worst experience so far and would advice not to opt Design cafe for your interior needs. in my case, all i would say local carpenter would have done a great job. poor designing, poor execution. 1. My designer was not at all professional and we were shocked after materials got delivered as the colors were not matching which we discussed during design phase. 2. Wicker basket area should not expose inner laminate which is like green looking cream jute color which is really a bad looking design and I did not sign up for that. and they are not even ready to rectify that. 3. in MBR, they used different colors for shutters, edge banding and fillers. It is different than what was discussed. Worst part is team is not at all supporting. you raise concern, they response with "they are taking a look and will get back to us" but we only have to keep on following up with them and still the issue remains unresolved. My suggestion would be do not go for design cafe. its better to hire local carpenter and it will save some money + you will get what you want else go for some other reputed brands.

Project : DC-85696 It has been a mixed experience with Design Cafe. Project Manager Syed and his team of carpenters lead by Sakthivel did an excellent job. He has been very prompt and quick in responding. The quality of work and material used is good. The 4 ⭐ is for the execution team. We faced delays prior to the execution phase. Initial pre sales and sign up was fine, but as we entered the design phase, things started getting very slow. There was no proactive update or work progress, had to do numerous follow ups and escalations to get things moving. There were hardly any timely responses in the WhatsApp group created by the designer to our queries. Almost all the timelines were missed in spite of follow ups. There were many communication gaps between the designer and execution team. We had to get involved and sort them out since our project was getting delayed. The software they use to show the 3D designs is useless, the images shared were of low quality which did not give all the details of design. It was a stressful phase, you make the payment in advance and wait helplessly for these people to start the work. Customer care is almost non-existent, you raise a ticket and they will contact you after weeks at their own leisure. While we are satisfied with the quality of work and material, the delay and lack of response to our queries left us disappointed. Design Cafe should consider making overall customer experience better, looks like their current process and tools are outdated. Getting a refund for any of your cancellations is a challenge. Again, thanks to Syed and his team for quick execution. You can sign up these people if you do not have any time constraints, ready to postpone your house warming date and have the patience to follow up.
