The architecture and decor of this place is amazing. Well thought with unique art pieces all around. Great place to come in group and take loads of pics.
This is the best place to have Bao. Super soft and delicious. Variety of cocktails and well made by the bartender.
I was disappointed with chocolate Lave cake. It didn't feel fresh. That was the only minus.
Chicken Garlic fried rice was flavourful and well made. Though the rice was little sticky. Not sure if that's part of recipe.
Over all a nice experience.

We chose this place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It’s a fine dining Asian place . The whole place had a soothing vibe .. a bit dark though . We would have liked if they had those tabletop LED lamps for the tables . The appetisers came soon . We loved the chicken bao , chicken gyoza , vegetable dumplings, tofu stir fry. The taste was very authentic and we simply loved it . The main course took half an hour to come . The entire experience was super awesome . Highly recommend this place to all the people who love Asian food !

The place has good vibes with large statues. They also have an open terrace dining area with tree in centre. The view is mesmerizing. Talking about food, ate sushi, mokimono, and dumplings. All were good. Also had drinks which were good. But my kid left his ball there which was sealed and packed with toys when we went back only after 15mins the male waiter told us he threw the ball in the dustbin but we met a very helpful female waitress she found the ball and gave it to us. Although the sealed was torned and one toy was opened in the ball.

Located on the top floor of UB City, Shiro is a gem for those who love elegant ambience, refined Asian flavors, and a curated cocktail experience. A separate elevator (towards the left of Hamleys) takes you up to the restaurant, which opens into a serene and luxurious space. With a choice of indoor seating, open-air tables, and a partially covered smoking zone, there’s something for everyone depending on your vibe.
The ambiance here is effortlessly sophisticated—calm lighting, tasteful decor, and a lovely mix of quiet luxury and laid-back ease. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, adding to the overall comfort. While service was smooth, the dishes did take a bit longer than expected to arrive.
Drinks We Tried:
- Shanghai Sunset – Tequila, vodka, melon liqueur, pineapple & cranberry juice; fruity, refreshing and tropical.
- Yamaguchi Sunset – A beautifully balanced mix of gin, Triple Sec, burnt orange, vanilla, and peach. A must-try!
- Crimson Bride – Vodka, Malibu, watermelon, and banana cream—sweet and smooth.
- Oriental Spice – Vodka with guava juice and a spicy kick. Unconventional and enjoyable.
Food Highlights:
- Mushroom & Cream Cheese Dumplings in Truffle Broth – Probably our favorite of the evening! The truffle broth was divine, with delicate dumplings packed with creamy mushroom goodness.
- Malaysian Sambal Chicken – Stir-fried chicken with sambal and curry leaves—perfectly spiced with a lovely umami hit.
- Mahtani Chicken – Their spicy Korean house-speciality that didn’t hold back on flavor or heat—absolutely delicious.
- Veg. Mi Goreng – Stir-fried fresh noodles in a spicy Thai sauce with a Chinese wine finish. Comforting and flavorful.
- Blueberry Coconut Cake – A layered treat with cream cheese, blueberry, and coconut notes; a satisfying, mellow end to the meal.
Shiro is ideal for date nights, quiet celebrations, or upscale evenings with friends. Everything from the interiors to the plating reflects a thoughtful and elevated experience. Yes, the food arrives a little slow, but once it does—you’re in for a treat. Highly recommend the dumplings in truffle broth and Yamaguchi Sunset cocktail!

The range of contemporary Sushi was very good but the standard assorted sushi platter was strictly okay. The kafir seafood dumpling was quite the star! We also enjoyed the fish in tamarind sauce. Black pepper pork bao was filling. Service was top notch, as expected and Sumit made our meal a pleasant experience.
Oh and we caved in and had a dessert as well - The Mandarin Almond & chocolate cake, which was excellent!!

We were pre-warned about the drop in standards at Shiro yet we went ahead with our decision. A rather confusing mix of problems, some based on our expectations with a fine dine tag and others with overall experiences.
Hits:
Good menu options
Great ambience
Polite serving staff
BIG misses:
Table preparedness with napkins and other accessories which every restaurant should have were missing. For example, where are the serviettes? Sounds odd that all their patrons are comfortable using bite size paper napkins to protect their laps.
Air conditioning levels can be at conflict with food and overall comfort. Draft made all food served cold and unpalatable after 3 minutes. Add a dish which lacked salt or an umami punch and you've got nothing but disappointment for your taste buds.
Mid level managers need better guest management training. The golden rule is to always avoid aggravating an already angry customer... But yet.
Mercifully a senior restaurant manager intervened in the dying minutes of our meal and helped salvage the anniversary dinner including, being receptive of feedback. For the brand they have, there's a lot to do to improve food and service... Or rather retain it to what Shiro was originally known for.

This place was a nightmare to me when it comes to the Japanese cuisine (mainly the unlimited sushi offer that they have). Trying several places in Bangalore in terms of Japanese dishes my expectations with Shiros was high but when I tried it, I regretted it badly. The chef came and told it would get the best ones but with trying different dishes it kept getting worse. Max of the dishes on the menu was veg and the tuna and grouper was so bad. It was not fresh at all. While having I could legit taste the fishy tangy taste (fresh ones don’t smell). One of the dishes was legit just boiled chicken. The tea sucked as well, even with the strainer there was so much of tea powder all over the cup. The bao sucked as well it was legit a pao which was so bad and just an old chicken patty. I cannot believe I paid 1.5k per person with 10% service charge for something which is totally not worth it. Just a hyped up place. Super disappointed.
