Hello, I bought a veena from Aruna Musicals New, koramangala, in April. I have to say that I had one of the best experiences purchasing here. Ganesh Prasad sir, I would say, is one of the best consultant when it comes to purchasing an instrument. He sat with us for upto 2 hours asking for our requirements and needs and what do we expect from our instrument, and then suggests the best of the quality of our instruments based on our budget. As an aspiring carnatic vocalist and a learner of veena, I had a lot of demands from my instrument. I wanted my instrument to be a performance based and vocal support instrument. He made sure to understand my needs, at present and future, and suggested me the best veenas available, and I would say I got an amazing make of veena that has the best resonance and sustainability. This encouraged me to restart my learning and learn even more about the techniques of the instrument. I was so particular of the quality of veena because to me it's not just an instrument but an extension of me, and would remain an emotion that I want to convey through music. Hence it's very important for us to understand what we need from our instrument and also the seller to understand the needs and demands and expectations of the buyer's aspirations with regard to the instrument. I had been to Aruna Musicals, once again, and I would say this was the best decision I had taken today... Ganesh Sir, as everyone knows, is the best consultant for musical instruments. There is no second word about it. The patience, passion and his dedication can be seen in every work of his. It's very rare these days to see such passionate people, like Ganesh Sir. Today I purchased another veena from Aruna Musicals. I really feel so fortunate and happy to have made this decision on this day. I had seen a veena previously in the shop, 2 weeks before, when I was purchasing my other veena. It was in a corner standing there but accidently I was drawn that veena. But that day, I didnt care much. Later on, I was constantly thinking of the veena that I saw and I contacted him for the same. Fortunately, the veena was still available for purchase. Initially I was drawn to it's looks, the workmanship, the artistry, the carvings were so beautiful and authentic that I couldn't let go the veena. But today when we bought the veena and finally brought it home, as I was playing it, my eyes welled up with tears without my knowledge. The sound of the veena, the way the veena takes the ghamakas, the minute notes, the resonance, the sustainability, the vibrations... Mindblowing, Mesmerizing, Just fantastic . It's so amazing that there are no words to describe it. It's a once in a lifetime make and once in a life time veena. What an amazing artistry...!!! Very divine. I would say that the hands that made the instrument definitely had a lot of Love and passion and madness about the veena, that such a master piece was made out of a wooden log... Hats off... As I'm writing this long review, I'm so delighted with the divinity of the veena and it's naada is so captivating that it just takes you to another world... What an amazing instrument you offered me, Ganesh Sir, Thank you so much for giving me this veena.. This is such an amazing n priceless veena one would ever see in a lifetime.
