I had an absolutely fantastic 15-day stay here. As a solo traveller, finding a place that is clean, safe, and comfortable is a top priority, and this place exceeded my expectations.
The housekeeping team is brilliant – my room and the bathroom were cleaned daily without fail. The linens were also replaced regularly.
Common areas are huge plus. There’s a quiet and peaceful library which which was perfect for me to get some work done and ready. The rooftop terrace is a great spot to relax, unwind and chill in the evening.

Recently stayed here for a week. Really good place to stay for solo travelers. It’s neat and clean ans I kept like that by the team on a daily basis. The rooms and bathroom are spacious as well. The beds are good and there is a locker beneath the bed as well.
There is space in the Rooftop with games and seats to chill out and a library to read/work.
Overall a really good place for stay.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and quite comfortable, which makes it a good option for solo travelers. The food was a wonderful surprise—I tried the chole bhature and it turned out to be excellent, better than I expected. The staff were polite, supportive, and even helped me with an early check-in on request, which made my experience smoother. The rent is reasonable, so overall it feels like good value for money. The only drawback is the check-in at 2 pm and check-out at 11 am, which is inconvenient for travelers with early arrivals or late departures.

Room was decent, with comfortable and clean bed. However, we did feel that the pictures were quite deceptive. There was absolutely no natural light which made the room feel a bit like a closet. It could definitely benefit from a fresh coat of paint. The bathroom was small and could have been cleaner, but overall decent.
To sum up, great location and decent rooms but overpriced considering the current level of maintenance.

Excellent stay! The staff was incredibly attentive, especially at the front desk, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a great variety. My only minor issue was the firmness of the pillows, but overall, a fantastic experience. I would definitely return!”.

Location was the best. Price for a shared room booking was at par considering the location. Rooms were clean and well-maintained. Staff was courteous. Initial registration process was cumbersome. And wifi was an issue.
If you are on a short solo trip and won’t spend much time in the room, this is the best place to be.

I recently stayed at HostellerBrogade road, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the front desk team was both friendly and professional.
The room was spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable bed and quality linens. I appreciated the attention to detail—from the complimentary bottled water to the neatly arranged amenities.Every staff member I interacted with—from housekeeping to restaurant staff—went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable.
Location-wise, it’s conveniently situated near major attractions and public transport, making it an ideal base for both business and leisure travelers.
Highly recommend Hosteller to anyone visiting I’ll definitely be returning.

Not a Place That Understands Hospitality
I rarely leave reviews, but this experience left me no choice. I had high hopes while booking this hotel, expecting a decent stay and respectful treatment — but unfortunately, what I experienced was the complete opposite. The overall atmosphere was cold, uncomfortable, and lacking the most basic sense of hospitality. The staff, especially those at the entrance and security, behaved in a way that made me feel like I was doing something wrong just by being there. Their tone was not only impolite but also passive-aggressive, as if they had a problem with guests who didn’t fit their “local” expectations. It was disappointing, even a little shocking, to witness this kind of attitude in a hotel located in Bangalore — a city that welcomes people from all parts of the country and the world. The purpose of any hotel is to make people feel at home, regardless of where they’re from or what language they speak, and this place failed completely in that regard. I wasn’t expecting luxury — just decency, kindness, and professionalism. Sadly, none of those were present. I checked out not just with bags, but with a lingering sense of discomfort. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects even the bare minimum of respect and courtesy from hotel staff. There are many better places to stay — don’t waste your time or energy here.

One of the Most Unpleasant Hotel Experiences I’ve Had
This was honestly one of the worst and most uncomfortable hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I travel frequently. From the moment I stepped in, there was a strange lack of warmth or hospitality from the staff, especially the security. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, their tone was cold, dismissive, and frankly, rude. It felt as if they had no interest in making guests feel comfortable — and instead, acted as though they were doing us a favor by letting us stay. In a city like Bangalore, which is known for its diversity and openness, I never expected to be treated like I didn’t belong just because I wasn’t local. A hotel should be a space where people from different backgrounds, cities, and even countries feel safe and respected — but this place had the opposite energy. Their attitude made the stay incredibly tense, and at no point did I feel like a valued guest. Basic hospitality, respect, and professional behavior were completely missing. I usually don’t leave reviews, especially negative ones, but this experience was bad enough to warn others. If you are someone who expects polite service, professionalism, and even a minimum level of courtesy, I strongly suggest staying away from this hotel. Absolutely not worth the money, time, or mental stress.

I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights and it was very pleasant. The buses are walkable to get to, the metro station was 20 minutes by foot, and you have everything you need within a few metres. Sujan was really helpful and made sure everything went smooth for the guests. Toilets and beds are cleaned and changed everyday and the rooms were tidy. They also have a cafe with a decent amount of options to choose from. Highly recommend.

The hotel itself is actually quite nice — clean rooms, good amenities, and the staff at the front desk were polite and helpful. The food was also decent and location-wise it’s pretty convenient.
However, the security is a serious issue. They were rude and unprofessional throughout our stay. What made things worse was that they kept insisting we speak in Kannada, even though we clearly told them we didn’t understand it. It felt unnecessary and uncomfortable.
It’s a shame because everything else was good, but the behavior of the security staff completely ruined the experience. Management really needs to take this seriously. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you value respectful treatment.

Extremely Unprofessional and Unwelcoming
This was by far one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. The staff, especially the security, were shockingly rude and unprofessional. Instead of treating guests with basic courtesy, they created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment.
As someone visiting from outside the city, I expected at least respectful treatment — but was instead made to feel like I didn’t belong. This is not how hospitality should work, especially in a city like Bangalore that sees people from all over the country and beyond.
I do not recommend this place to anyone who values respectful service and a comfortable stay. Definitely not worth the experience. One star is generous.

This is my first time staying at the hostellers. I had such an amazing experience. I stayed 1 night at their 4 bed dorm which was clean. I moved to a private room for 3 nights. The room was clean. Getting any kind of room service was quite seamless and can be done through their app.
Only issue I saw is for whoever stays on the 6th floor. 1 floor above this is the common area for people from the stay to socialize. This gets a little noisy especially beyond 11pm. But that is quite ignorable with my general experience with the place.
I would definitely recommend this place to people who are looking for a pocket friendly stay. I hope to stay here again on my next trip. 🙂

The stay was good. But They haven’t mentioned that parking is not available and pointed out that they haven’t listed parking as one of the amenities. However, in a city like Bengaluru, details such as the availability of parking should be clearly mentioned, especially for first-time travelers to the city. It’s a basic yet important piece of information. When I raised this concern, the person in charge simply said that I could pay and park in the next building, which felt quite inconvenient and unexpected.

This is hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The place is full of ridiculous rules and overhyped claims that are completely baseless. Having to unlock the door through an app is just frustrating and totally impractical. The security is laughable.
You’re not allowed to bring food into your own room, and if you ask for a plate, they refuse and instead charge extra—seriously? The room itself is in terrible condition. No TV, no cupboard, a bed that feels like it’s on the floor, and electrical switches that make no sense—turn on the fan and the main light comes on too? Absolutely absurd.
For a place charging ₹3000, this is a joke. I wouldn’t stay here again even if it was free, and I’ll make sure everyone I know avoids this place too. This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star, but since I can’t give 0, 1 it is.

Serenity Empire provides a comfortable and seemingly well-managed living environment. The focus on security and designated spaces appears to be a major draw for many, offering peace of mind. The availability of different room types, from twin-sharing to single apartments, allows for flexibility in accommodating various budgets and preferences. It looks like a place where residents can feel protected and find a reliable standard of living.
From what I can tell, the emphasis on amenities like a central kitchen and potential recreational facilities contribute to a positive living experience. The clear guidelines regarding curfew and wardens seem to create a structured and responsible community. It appears to be a solid option for students or young professionals seeking a convenient and supervised residence.

My stay at Serenity Hostel in Bangalore has been one of the most comforting and secure experiences I’ve had. This isn’t just a place to live — it genuinely feels like home.
The food is a standout here — freshly prepared with a changing menu that keeps it interesting and wholesome. It’s simple, nutritious, and reminds you of a home-cooked meal. There’s never a feeling of eating “hostel food” — it’s made with care and it shows.
What truly sets Serenity apart is the warmth and sense of community. Festivals like Pongal, Holi, Eid, and Christmas are celebrated with full spirit — complete with decorations, traditional food, and a togetherness that makes you feel included and cared for.
A moment that really touched me was when I tested positive for COVID. The hostel team didn’t treat me like just another resident — they treated me like family. They made sure I had hot food, timely medicines, and regular sanitization, all while checking in on me constantly. Their care and support during that difficult time is something I’ll never forget.
Clean, safe, and full of warmth — Serenity Hostel truly lives up to its name. If you’re looking for a peaceful, respectful, and genuinely caring environment in Bangalore, this is the place to be.

The hostel offers a wide range of amenities like Wi-Fi, a gym, gaming areas, and even a swimming pool — which really sets it apart from many others in Bangalore.
The rooms are well-furnished and regularly cleaned, and the biometric attendance system along with 24/7 CCTV provides a strong sense of security. I also appreciated the professional housekeeping and the availability of common spaces where residents can study or relax.

The checkin and checkout was smooth enough, but washroom wasn’t clean it was too slippery could have been far better and the beds weren’t that clean too and vibe was average tried interacting with a few people but most were weird.
The best part the hostel is located in a prime location and is nearby to many places and it’s sort of okayish if you’re on a budget just keep a bedsheet if you’re bed isn’t clean and their top floor has good games
There’s a lot of potential to improve

The best part about the stay were the hosts Karan and Niran such joyful people , Made me feel like home, about the stay it’s almost perfect there is room for improvement , this is my first time hostel experience , will always be a customer of Zostel for the way it is maintained and mainly because of the hosts . I even met the owner Mr Tarun everytime he visited the property always projected a very positive vibe.

I had initially booked the female dorm, but the conditions were quite poor. The bathrooms were unclean, and I had to shift once because I was told the dorm was under maintenance. Even after moving to the new dorm, the washroom became clogged the very next day. Though I had planned a 5-day stay, I checked out early due to a change in plans. While the morning manager assured me of a refund, I haven’t received any. I understand that Zostel typically has a no-refund policy, but it was disappointing to have the manager promise a refund only for the backend team to deny it later.

Business vibe, because Bangalore, so I cannot complain.
Because of the location of the Zostel beside the sewage filled stormwater drain – there are a lot of mosquitos even after the Zostel people provided mosquito repellant.
But the biggest issue I have is with mold (possibly very injurious to health) in the bathroom! This picture is from the bathroom in room First Crush on first floor.

I had a great experience staying at Zostel. It was my first time stay at any hostel. The rooms were exactly like the photos on the site—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bathroom was spotless, which was a big plus. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, always ready to assist with anything. The location was excellent, with plenty of good restaurants and breakfast places just a short walk away. Overall, it was a really good stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to others!

• The price is affordable.
• The staff are kind.
• They explain the rules via WhatsApp, which is very helpful.
• There is a lobby available for guests where you can relax.
• There is a water dispenser, so I had no trouble getting drinking water.
Bad points
• Although mosquito repellents are provided, there were still many mosquitoes. I killed about twenty in three days.
• There are not many shopping places within walking distance.

I went to Locul for the first time. It feels so cozy and homely there. I booked one of the beds in their female dorm and private rooms. Both were great.
You get an outdoor sitting area, an indoor sitting area, books to read, and games to play on the ground floor.
On the first floor, there’s also the balcony sitting area, the indoor sitting area, and a kitchen with a stove, microwave, and dishes. You can cook vegetarian meals there and boil eggs.
They also provide complimentary coffee and tea sachets, which was a nice touch.
It would be nice if there were another female dorm and the lighting were better in their private room.
Other than that, I think it’s a great place to meet new people, make friends, and make new memories. Will definitely come here again the next time I am in Bangalore.

I recently completed my stay at Locul Uptown during my training period in Bangalore, and I must say, it was an excellent experience. The management team, especially the reception staff, were truly outstanding — incredibly supportive, attentive, and always ensured my comfort was a priority. Their warmth and professionalism made my stay feel like home. Special thanks to the front desk team for their consistent help and kindness throughout. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to stay

This place is absolutely amazing — the location is perfect, the staff are warm and welcoming, and the best part? The building is right opposite the house of our KGF star, so you might just catch a glimpse of him too!
I’ve stayed here multiple times, and it truly feels like a second home away from home now. Interestingly, on my first visit, I wasn’t sure how I felt — it was a bit too peaceful for me. But by the next day, I had fallen in love with the place. It has a unique charm that no other place can match.
You get a fully functional kitchen, a fridge to store your food, and even a lovely home-like setup with a kettle, dining table, chairs, library corner, and a water filter. The garden area is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for some quiet time.
The staff are fantastic — Abhik is a wonderful host, and Suman is extremely humble and helpful.
A few things to keep in mind before visiting:
The nearest metro station is just 1.7 km away.
Places like Cubbon Park, Chinnaswamy Stadium, and Mount Carmel College are nearby. Even the airport isn’t too far.
There are no shops right next to the building — you’ll need to walk around 500 meters to find one.
That said, the location is very safe and peaceful.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay away from home but still experience the warmth and vibe of home

It’s a nice place to stay. The only issue I had was with the dust near my bunk bed. It seemed like that area had not been dusted in months, and since I have dust allergy, I spent an entire night sneezing.
Other than that everything else is good. Good comfy beds, decent washrooms. It’s a clean, safe space to chill, and even make some new friends.

The Food here is very yummy and you lunch and dinner at mere cost of Rs 40 only. The food and place is very hygienic. Very good for solo travellers and also for working people who can fulfill their food requirements at a very low cost.
I did not stay in the Youth Hostel so I cannot answer about the rooms.

The hostel have mosquitoes. It’s not a good place to stay like home. We should not wash clothes were the condition. Need to take out of the hostel for washing them. However the Bathrooms were clean. The bed rooms are small with 8 beds. Actually 4 one over the other. It will be counted as 8. The beds are not clean (dusty). But it was Rs. 200 per day when I went there.

It’s a moderate place to stay here. But Locality is very good. It is near Cantonment. This hostel is very good for economy. Charge for one bed is 200 in Dormitory and one Dormitory have 10-15 beds up and down. You can also book a room for two or three persons separately. Food facility is also available here at paid.

The infrastructure is very poor compared to even domestic standards.Cant compare to International standards. No power back up. Toilets and baths are attached and very tiny. You can’t use bath once other hosteller has used latrine. Scarce connectivity.NO LOCKERS and no security to stop one hosteller from harassing others.Door slamming and mobile loudspeakers make the hostelling experience a true hell. The yhai reputation will be gone if the current building and management continues. I would recommend putting a few bucks extra and staying someplace else.

Good place for students. The dorm is very affordable at 200 per night for members and 25 rupees extra for non members. Dorm is maintained properly, but washroom could have been more properly maintained ( I think a big fault is from the part of visitors, not the staff). The facility is good, given the price. But unlike the popular hostel like zostel and backpackers panda (less than 400), it does not have all day access to power, hot water, cozy common room, and wifi. For locker room, hot water and wifi, you have to pay 20 daily, 10 per 10 litres and 20 per hour respectively.

If all you are looking for a budget place in bangalore, then probably consider it. Few plus points are it is very close to the camtontment railway station, cheapest option probably and clean rooms. Though the washrooms aren’t that clean and lack basic facilities, also they don’t prepare food if they don’t get minimum orders which is usually the case. :/
