I visited on a Saturday evening around 6 PM. The place was quite crowded, yet the volunteers and devotees were managing everything very well. Footwear can be kept in a sack for a nominal charge of ₹5–₹10, or at the free slipper stand. Since I wasn’t carrying any cash and there was no digital payment option, the staff kindly helped me by keeping my slippers safely in a sack.

One of the most unique aspects was at the first entry level into the sanctum, where every devotee is asked to chant “Hara Krishna Hara Rama” 108 times. With each step, the chant continues until one reaches the first temple dedicated to Lord Narasimha. Photography inside the sanctum is strictly prohibited, which helps preserve the sanctity of the space.

The sequence of the sanctums is as follows:

First: Lord Narasimha, Lord Anjaneya, and Garuda

Second: Lord Venkatachalapati

Final: Radha Krishna

Inside, one truly feels the divine bliss and a sense of oneness with Lord Krishna. The atmosphere stands out for its cleanliness, absence of beggars, and the fact that no one pressures you to make donations. While special darshan options are available, even the free darshan is fulfilling and complete.

On the way out, there are stalls with spiritual books such as Lord Krishna Leela and the Bhagavad Gita. A variety of good-quality food items are also available at very reasonable prices. Additionally, hot khichdi prasad is continuously served to devotees, adding to the overall divine experience.

The ISKCON Temple in Bangalore is very well maintained and offers a peaceful atmosphere. It welcomes both devotees and tourists, giving the place a lively yet spiritual feel. The surroundings are clean, organized, and ideal for prayer or meditation. Accessibility is also convenient, as it’s located close to the Green Line metro station.

Visited ISKCON Temple recently – a serene and spiritually uplifting place. The temple’s architecture is stunning, with beautifully decorated interiors and a peaceful ambience. The daily rituals and bhajans create a divine atmosphere, making it perfect for meditation and devotion. Well-maintained and welcoming, it’s a must-visit for anyone seeking spiritual solace in Bengaluru.

29.07.2025: We visited the temple today, travelling from HRBR Layout. We had to first catch a cab to Baiyappanahalli Metro station and then travel to Deepanjali Metro station on the Purple Line. At Deepanjali Metro autorickshaws operate at a fixed rate to the temple. Do note that you will have to negotiate the rate. We fixed it at Rs.80 for the three of us. It takes about 10-15 minutes to reach the temple depending on the traffic. The temple is situated in a residential street. The street is quite narrow with barricades etc at various points. Am not very clear on how the area residents manage, especially on festival days.

We had reached the temple by 12.00 PM and it was not very crowded. We were able to have the darshan easily and sit in the temple for some time. They have a stadium style 3 level seating in front of the gods ghudis. The presiding deity of Lord Hanuman is on one side, Ganesha in the middle and Dattatreya on the other. The inside circumference of the temple is beautifully decorated with 3D colourful images of Lord Hanuman. Outside there is a huge 3D mural of Lord Hanuman on the temple wall. There are various counters to book various sevas, Alankar sevas etc. Racks are available around the temple where the devotees doing the Poornaphala Seva (16 days) can hang the coconuts with sacred thread. The racks are numbered alphabetically so that the coconuts can be hung as per the devotees name & identified easily on the culmination of the seva.

This temple is Divine! After visiting this temple I felt very positive. I have visited 5 times since August. It is believed that after visiting Sri Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swami temple, wishes come true!
Very clean and divine place. This temple has dedicated parking lot for devotees! Also toilet is there for gents & ladies.

The place was so nice and it gives a positivity. We can visit the temple from Chennai, taking shatabdi express at 6am and reach there by 10.30 am. Take cab to reach the temple. Have a peaceful dharshan. They provide two coconuts to tie in the area praying the Lord Anjaneya to fulfill our wishes. Once it has come true we go to untie the coconut. They give one mantra “Ohm Namo Hanumathe namah” to repeat for 108 times daily for 16 days to get our wishes come true.
Then after the visit, have lunch nearby, and can visit Bull temple. Then take a cab to the railway station, catch the 4pm Satabdhi and return to Chennai by 9pm.

This temple is special where people ties their wishes in form of coconut and once fulfilled you can take your coconut home. They assign rows and number to your purchased coconut so remember to click the picture of your coconut.

Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Temple is truly a serene and spiritually uplifting place. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful — the moment you step inside, you can feel a sense of calm and positivity surrounding you. The temple is beautifully maintained, and the energy here is divine.

Went on a Sunday morning with family. Temple had a decent rush at 9AM. But the rush subsided by 10AM.
Temple has a Car parking area around 50 meters beside the temple. But can only fit around 20-22 cars at max. I was able to find a spot when I visited at 8:50AM on a Sunday. I was charged 20 rupees and it’s a fixed price (not hourly basis). I found it decent.
I heard it gets very crowded on Saturdays though.
Overall experience was good.

Tip: Do visit Kanyaka Parameshwari temple which is just 50 meters beside the car parking area. It was recently renovated and is very nice to visit. A lot of people do not know about it yet

The goddess of Banashankari Devi is a very old temple which was about fifty years back the end of Bangalore city. Huge number of devotees throng to see the Amman on Fridays and Tuesdays. Sundays are also crowded. Very well maintained now well connected. The temple premises in one of the most crowded junction in Bangalore. As a long term devotee my family has always prayed here and all those have been blessed.

Shree Banashankari Devi Temple – Bengaluru

Visited this sacred temple as part of the BMTC one-day trip. The atmosphere was peaceful, and getting darshan of Banashankari Amma felt truly divine.

One thoughtful service here is the free food (annadanam) provided to all devotees, which was simple and wholesome. The temple is clean and well-maintained.

Important tip: Make sure to leave your footwear only at the designated chappal stands. If left outside elsewhere, it may be moved by the staff and placed in a different spot, making it harder to find later.

A meaningful and well-organized temple visit – highly recommended for those seeking blessings and calm in the city.

This temple is very famous in Bengaluru and is easily reachable by available Public Transport.

This temple is well maintained and is crowded on Tuesdays and Fridays. We visited on Friday with the special darshan ticket of Rs.50 per person and still had to wait in queue for about an hour. If you plan to visit very early in the morning the traffic noise can be avoided and one can have a peaceful darshan.

The temple is big and has a chappal stand outside and shops selling pooja items also. However, the items are very expensive. A Lemon mala cost me Rs.300.

Inside the temple ,there is a special ticket counter for various types of Poojas and Archanas. .The main deity is Goddess Banashankari Amma.

There are other temples in the complex with Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman.

Food and prasada are offered at the food complex inside.

Serene and calm to sit and spend time post the temple visit. Definitely all must visit this temple.

Ragigudda Temple in Jayanagar is one of the most peaceful and divine places in Bengaluru. Built on a small hillock, the climb itself feels spiritual, and the view from the top is really calming. The idol of Lord Hanuman is powerful and beautifully decorated, and other deities make it feel complete.

The huge rock carvings of Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara are simply breathtaking and something you don’t see often. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by greenery, which adds to the serenity.

Saturdays are especially vibrant with so much positive energy and devotion all around. The prasadam here is tasty, and the temple also does wonderful community service. Overall, it’s not just a temple—it’s a place where you feel peace, devotion, and joy all at once.

Beautiful, beautiful temple located atop a little hill. I loved the location. It’s a little climb and they’ve got stairs and a slope as well. The shrines were lovely. Also got to see the carvings of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara as well. I went on a Sunday and the place wasn’t crowded.

This temple is located in the middle of Banashankari and HSR Layout, approximately 600 to 800 meters from the Banashankari to Silk Board main road.

It is really a pleasure to have parking space around and no fees of any kind…

Then they have fixed times for darshan.
It is better to go at that fixed time…

First, after finishing the darshan of Ganesha, we went up the hill to have darshan of Anjaneya. It was not a hill, it was a small hill, it was not a small hill, it was a few steps…

After climbing the steps, we had the darshan of Shri Anjaneya in a civilized manner…

There were no obstacles, no crowds…

After doing the circumambulation, we came down and sat for a while and clicked some photos on the stairs. Then we came down and enjoyed a neat prasad of curd…

It was very wonderful…

We went a little further and sat watching the cattle…

We spent some time watching the hill, watching the hill, sitting for a while, taking a rest, watching the environment, taking in the good air and clicking some photos.

The three stone pillars at the back of the temple are considered to be the sacred forms of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva

The operations at the temple are conducted methodically, from placing our footwear in the counter to distribution of the prasada!…everything is systematic!

My recent visit to Ragigudda Sri Prasannanjaneya Swamy Temple was a spiritually uplifting and peaceful experience. Nestled atop a small hill in Jayanagar, Bangalore, this temple is not just a religious site but also a place that fills your heart with devotion and peace.

Location & Atmosphere
The temple is located in the heart of the city but feels like a serene escape from the urban noise. As you approach the hillock, the architecture of the temple instantly impresses you. The climb to the main shrine is not too steep and is beautifully surrounded by greenery and well-maintained pathways.
The panoramic view from the top adds to the charm, especially during early mornings and evenings. The temple complex is clean, peaceful, and organized — creating a divine vibe that stays with you even after you leave. ️

Darshan & Crowd Management
I visited on a weekend, so the temple was understandably crowded. The waiting time exceeded 1 hour, but the queue management was disciplined, and devotees moved steadily with faith and patience. ⏳ Despite the crowd, everything was handled smoothly by the temple volunteers and staff.
I strongly recommend visiting on a weekday if you’re looking for a quicker darshan, but if you’re okay with the wait, weekends are just as rewarding. The spiritual energy in the temple during weekends is truly special.

The Idol & Sanctum
The main deity, Lord Hanuman (Anjaneya Swamy), is magnificent and radiates power and protection. ✨ The sanctum is spiritually charged, and as soon as you step in, you feel a sense of calm and divine connection. Devotees are allowed to offer prayers, flowers, and even chant peacefully inside the temple.
There are also smaller shrines for other deities within the complex including Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Ganesha. ️

Photo Moments
Photography is not allowed inside the sanctum, but the outer temple structure and surrounding areas are perfect for capturing the beauty of the place. As seen in the photos I’ve uploaded, the architecture, stairs, trees, and distant view of the skyline from the top create an incredible setting. ✨

Facilities & Cleanliness
There are basic facilities like drinking water, footwear stands, and restrooms. The temple staff ensures that the entire premises remain clean and devotional. You’ll also find prasadam counters and a small stall area for pooja items. Everything is well-maintained and respectful of the spiritual ambiance.

Final Thoughts
Ragigudda temple is not just a religious destination — it’s a place where you can connect with your inner peace and feel the blessings of Lord Hanuman. Whether you’re a devotee or someone seeking peace and positivity, this place is worth every moment spent. Highly recommended for all age groups!

That was a truly beautiful and moving experience. The temple’s atmosphere was so peaceful, and the lyrics of the prayers were incredibly meaningful. I learned so much about the history of Shiva Ganesha, and I really enjoyed my time there with the local people. I paid 100 rupees for entrance and another 100 rupees for the prayer equipment, and I was happy to contribute to the children’s school. I also purchased a statue of Ganesha for my wife’s mother, and I hope she enjoys it.

I recently visited the Shivoham Shiva Temple , and it was a truly peaceful and memorable experience . The grand Shiva statue is breathtaking and gives a strong spiritual vibe the moment you enter. The atmosphere is calm, well maintained, and perfect for meditation or just sitting quietly. This place is totally commercial and unhygienic. We visited on a Friday when there was no crowd, yet they charged ₹250 for entry and an additional ₹100 for the Vaishnavi cave.

As mentioned on the tickets, most of the promised activities were missing. There was no Ganapathi pooja, only two people inside, and no one to guide us. The water used inside was unhygienic, with mosquito larvae, and many waterfall setups and other moving elements were not even working. It makes no sense why they charge such a high fee.

There are no proper washroom facilities either. For restrooms, visitors are directed to the mall’s first floor, which is in terrible condition, filled with fungus smell and highly unhygienic.

Because of all these reasons, we didn’t feel any temple-like emotions or spiritual connection. When we sit and close our eyes, we can feel Lord Shiva’s presence anywhere—that sacred feeling does not need this place.

Overall, it was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience.

IT’S A GOOD PLACE FOR SIGHTSEEING, BUT IF YOU’RE HOPING FOR A PLACE TO CONNECT SPIRITUALLY, YOU’LL LIKELY BE DISAPPOINTED.

The place is quite scenic, and you will enjoy the visual appeal of the structures and the tableau displays. However, if you’re seeking a place for genuine worship or a serene spiritual experience, this is definitely not the right choice.

The temple is very congested, and the entrance is poorly designed, which immediately sets the wrong tone. It feels more like a commercial setup than a spiritual haven. There seems to be a business running under the guise of a temple—everything from offerings to services comes with a price tag. Instead of feeling a connection to the divine, you’re left with a sense that you’re being taken advantage of. The atmosphere doesn’t inspire devotion or peace; it’s more like a tourist spot than a place of true worship.

In short, it’s a good place for sightseeing if you’re interested in idols and art, but if you’re hoping for a place to connect spiritually, you’ll likely be disappointed. It’s unfortunate that the focus seems more on profit than on providing a genuine temple experience.

We recently visited the Shivoham Shiva Temple on Bengaluru, and it was a deeply peaceful and spiritual experience. The highlight is the majestic 65-foot Shiva idol, which creates an awe-inspiring presence as soon as you enter.

The temple’s architecture and tranquil ambiance make it a perfect place for prayer, meditation, or simply soaking in the divine atmosphere. It’s well-organized, clean, and welcoming for both devotees and tourists.

Entry is reasonably priced (₹150–₹250 per person) and includes most experiences, excluding prasad.

A must-visit for anyone seeking a moment of calm in the city — beautiful, reflective, and truly uplifting.

However, it is more of a privately developed attraction than a traditional temple, so one may not experience the usual spiritual atmosphere. Raja Rajeshwari Temple is a famous and beautiful temple located in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar near Mysore Road.
The temple is known for its peaceful and divine atmosphere, along with its stunning architecture.

A few words about Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple…..

When I first went there, they had imposed many rules like dressing like this, dressing like that, girls should not wear clothes that show their hands, they should come in sarees, they had to bring proper clothes, but they did not let me in.

This is a sad situation, and when I went this time, there were no such rules.

There were no security guards either, I did not know what kind of administration this was.

They had imposed a ban on taking photos and videos inside the temple..

Other than this, everything else was good, but it would have been great if they had given prasadam. They did not give any prasadam…

Very peaceful place. Great view of the sunset in the evening. Can sit and relax here. Take lots of pictures.

Enough parking available. 40₹ for 4-wheeler. Not sure about bike parking charges. Footwear stand is available for 3₹/person. Not sure about toilets.

Few steps to climb. Small souvenir type shop on the way up. You get bananas, ice-cream and water. Nothing much to eat. There’s a cup corn guy near parking. Market is close by so you can get restaurants there. 2-3 autos might be available during weekends.

Lot of stray dogs inside. Close to 10-15. Barking and fighting. So be careful if you are scared of dogs.

Temple premise is so nice and clean. Very nice experience visiting all the temples and spending time around the stairs and enjoying views.

Lot of steps, so anyone with severe knee pain should avoid, steps are not too high so okish for others, after half way, you can use the slopping along stair mix to walk comfortably.

Visited Shri Gavi Gangadhareshwara Swamy Temple – a unique cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The rock-cut architecture and ancient carvings make it historically significant and spiritually powerful. Known for the rare phenomenon during Makar Sankranti when sunlight passes through the temple’s windows to illuminate the Shiva Linga, it’s a fascinating blend of devotion, tradition, and science. A must-visit for devotees and history enthusiasts.

Beautiful Shiva temple in a cave. A whole different divine experience. It is near the big bull and Basavesawara temples. Near by to lalbagh botanical gardens. You can plan a trip along with these other temples and Lalbagh. It is said that the shrines determine the time in a day without the need for a clock.

One of the oldest temples of Bangalore. The Pooja was very healing to me. It is a natural cave temple , monolithic stone. You can see traces of GANGA, CHOLAS& VIJAYANAGARA dynasties work all around the temple.

To see such a unique place is indeed a blessing. Such ancient glory in a modern place is rare indeed.

The path inside can be a bit narrow, so those with claustrophobia are advised to be careful.

1000 yrs old Chola period rock cut cave temple for Lord Siva.
Unique: A unique temple it feels like being in an ancient cave all in the middle of the city.
The temple is always frequented by locals but not too crowded. Being in the city it can get crowded on special occassion like pradhosam day etc.
Other deities include Goddess Parvathi, Agni, Nandi, sun and moon deities and Ganesha.
The prasadam offered in the premises is very tasty.
We had been on Sunday and it wasnt too crowded.
Celestial Event: During Makara Sankaranthi the suns rays enters the temple.
Lots of street parking available might get crowded during busy days.

I recently visited Shri Someshwara Swamy Temple, Halasuru – one of the oldest and most divine temples in Bangalore.

Temple Architecture & Gopuram:
The temple is very big, and the tall, beautifully carved Gopuram at the entrance instantly caught my eye. Right as you enter, you can see two lingams – Sri Bhimeswara and Sri Chandramouleshwara – which give a divine start to the darshan.

Main Deities:
The presiding deity here is Shri Someshwara Swamy (a form of Lord Shiva). Along with him, we can also have darshan of Shri Kamatchi Amman. The temple also has separate shrines for Lord Suryanar, Sri Dakshinamurthy, Lord Subramanya Swamy with Valli and Deivanai, Lord Brahma, Lord Maha Vishnu, Bala Vinayaga, and Siddhi Vinayaga.

Unique Experience:
I was stunned to see Lord Anjaneya (Hanuman) inside this Shiva temple – which is very rare. This makes it even more special, as you can receive the blessings of almost all the main deities under one roof. There is also a separate shrine for the Navagrahas.

Divine Atmosphere:
The temple plays the continuous chanting of “Om Namah Shivaya”, which adds an extra divine vibration and peaceful energy throughout the premises.

Offerings & Pooja:
Outside the temple, you can light diyas and offer flowers and malas to the main deity. I bought one Pooja bag (₹120) which included two bananas, a coconut, and flowers – very convenient for devotees.

The atmosphere inside is calm, divine, and spiritually uplifting. It feels like stepping into an ancient piece of Bangalore’s history and culture.

Additional Info:
This temple is believed to be built during the Chola dynasty and later developed under Vijayanagara rulers. The intricate carvings on pillars and walls reflect the richness of South Indian temple architecture.

What a beautiful temple this is! So peaceful. I went on a Sunday morning around 8-8:30 am and there were barely much people around. I would recommend going after 9am so all the alankaras would be done on the deities and you don’t miss out on any shrines.

Shivji is quietly residing here in this 800yrs old temple made by the Cholas as they say! He is referred to as Someshwara, meaning the one who adorns the Soma (Chandra)!

Nandi Vigrah of this temple is also huge and appears to be gold plated. The entire complex of the temple spreads out in a very big parcel of land and it hosts a lot of other small temples. There are beautiful Hanumanji, Ganeshji and Devi Maa temples also here which do resonate with you if you in an agreeable state of energy reception. I personally just loved the Hanumanji temple and the first temple of Shiv ji at the left side of the entrance. Both these small temples had a different aura!

One rule applicable here is that you are not allowed to light any diya inside the complex as they have maintained its hygiene well. You can light your diyas outside the temple where proper diya stands are made.

Just like other ancient temples, this one also dates to more than 500yrs ago. The temple is open in morning and evening for darshan, except for 1300hrs to 1730hrs. So, plan your darshan visit accordingly.

The temple is not even 300m from the nearest metro station of Halasuru. Once you come here, do visit the 2nd ancient temple across the road which is called Subramanya Swamy temple dedicated to Kartikeya, the son of Shiv ji.
