. I had given a good review before during design phase but post installation we realised how pepper fry fooled us. They charged us 2.6L for basic interiors and master bedroom wardrobe was just one column, felt like somethis left hanging, the quality used was so poor, maybe local vendors will also use good products. On asking they said we approved the design, during design they only asked me about where to move the cupboard handle, I did not even realise that they would just make one box instead of a proper wardrobe.. the second room wardrobe handle just came out when we opened and no proper response on handling these flaws, worst service just wasted our money on Pepper Fry. If anyone opting for this please reach out to me I will give clear picture of their work worst low quality service..
I kept asking to connect with manager but apparently no one has responded. We are now spending a Lakh more to complete the interiors.. I even asked for detailed bill and no one responds,.

I ordered a dining table from Pepperfry Studio, Indiranagar, Bangalore in the month of January 2025. with a promised delivery time of 30 days. However, the product arrived much later than expected, and neither the store nor the company had any information about the courier status.
The installation process was another struggle—I had to follow up multiple times, and after a lot of effort, it was finally completed. Despite being promised free installation, I had to pay extra from my own pocket.
To make matters worse, the product was defective. Out of the set (1 table and 4 chairs), 2 chairs were damaged, and the tabletop was misaligned with a poor finish. When I contacted customer service for a return, they claimed it was a self-assembly product. Later, when I reported the damages, they refused to process a return, stating that it was past the return period.
I reached out multiple times to the store manager and customer service, but received no response. Even after escalating the issue to Mr. Ashish Shah, CEO of Pepperfry, I am still waiting for a resolution.
Pepperfry seems to believe that a ₹50,000 dining table is only meant to last a week. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service is unacceptable. I strongly advise against purchasing anything from Pepperfry due to their subpar product quality and terrible response time.

Extremely Disappointed with Pepperfry Studio – Unresponsive Support
We ordered an L-shaped sofa from Pepperfry, which was delivered on 1st June. At the time of delivery, the delivery person took a photo, and unfortunately, we didn’t inspect the sofa thoroughly. However, within minutes of sitting on it, we noticed that some stitches had already come off.
We immediately took pictures and visited the Indiranagar Pepperfry Studio within 2 hours of delivery to raise our concern. The store manager acknowledged the defect and assured us that a return request would be raised. Due to a technical issue, he submitted the return request the following day.
To our shock, a few days later, we received an email from the support team stating that the return request was rejected because the delivery photo didn’t show the defect. Despite explaining that the issue became visible only after use and that we had reported it promptly, our request for escalation and inspection was flatly denied.
A support representative named Priyanka was particularly unhelpful and dismissive. She refused to process the return, citing that the issue wasn’t visible in the delivery photo and that the return request was raised a day late — completely ignoring the fact that we had visited the store within hours and followed the process as advised.
This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. The product was clearly defective, and the lack of accountability and empathy from the support team has left us with no resolution. We expected much better from a brand like Pepperfry.
Would not recommend Pepperfry to anyone looking for reliable customer service.

Update as on 3rd July 2025: This is the worst customer service and production team ever to exist. We say we are READY to purchase from wooden street again – just give us the option of refund to our wooden street wallet for the entire set. And we receive a callback saying they won’t refund. They will only replace the table and ONE chair and send a carpenter for the wobbly bench and the other chair. The most easiest solution would be to go with the customer requesting to replace the set and allow us the freedom of purchasing the same or another set from wooden street. The customer care representative has been Vishnu who has been apathetic and elitist – like this is HIS 1.5 L investment. DO NOT BUY. GOD FORBID YOU HAVE ANY REPAIRS. they will say it is because of usage. Yes a ONE year usage in a teak wood table has caused it to go to pieces. We will be speaking to the attorney for legal options just because we feel so humiliated and suppressed even after offering to buy from the same store again.
A truly horrible place if, god forbid, you want any of your furniture serviced or replaced because there’s a manufacturing defect. We invested upwards of 3.5-4Lakhs in wooden street furniture for our new home by purchasing dining tables, coffee table, console table, a L shaped sofa and sofa cum bed back in August 2024.
Shortly after we called for carpentry service for dining table for wobbly legs, another service when the armrest had COME OFF from the seat for TWO chairs and handles were broken. And the process of getting a carpenter service assigned is like a enormous beaurocratic system where one person will assign it to the next, then the next, then someone will assign a carpenter and then someone else etc etc and it’s already a week you’re sitting at home with broken chairs and eating on the floor after paying 1.5 lakhs for a table.
We didn’t even bother to call for a carpentry service when the washer from the legs of our bench broke off because we are so tired of this effed up system. Pay through the nose for purchase and then run behind these morons for service.
Recently we approached the wooden street store directly because the entire table STARTED TO TILT. The legs are designed in such a way that they are all slanted and not straight. So three of the legs start Spreading out and the table started to fall. We went to the store directly because at this point, we are seriously doubting the quality of this piece.
The store representative at the time Mr Rakesh tells us he will do one thing and get it replaced for us. Which was a fair solution because this is a big investment. Replacements do take weeks and so we did request for a patch up work to be done by sending a carpenter.
Days go by and the carpenter is assigned for June 25th but doesn’t show up. There’s no call or any update. Then we follow up again and then a guy comes and patches up.
Soon the ticket is abandoned and closed with no resolution about replacement. Called again today (July 1 2025) and Vishnu from customer support says he can send in ANOTHER CARPENTER. At this point, we will be leaning towards pursuing this legally because we find atrocious that we have spent 4 lakhs in a place and 1.5 lakhs for a table and this is the resolution : plus after warranty period ends YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.

We visited wooden street in April 2024 to purchase a few items for a room. We ordered a Sofa cum bed and a Celestal 4 door wardrobe with dressing table.
We ordered it from the store expecting better support and service but all turned out to be a major disappointment.
After placing order ID 627327, we were told that the sofa cum bed will be delivered immediately but the wardrobe will take 2-3 weeks for delivery.
This was acceptable so we agreed and did the full payment.
While the sofa was delivered and installation was done on time, the wardrobe became a nightmare due to the poor customer service.
The wardrobe was delivered within the timeline but when the person came for installation they found that 4 planks were missing. Those being the primary ones ,it was impossible to assemble the wardrobe.
On the other hand another set of duplicate planks was sent to us.
The carpenter contacted wooden street, I also called the customer service and also the shop to inform this and was told a ticket is raised I’ll get an update.
However next day another carpenter called me regarding installation and when I informed the situation he told me that no ticket has been raised.
I again called up customer service who promised to check with carpentry team and get back within 20 minutes which didn’t happen.
On the second call after an hour same response.
Calling the store was of no help either.
Now they have given a time line of another 3 weeks for fixing the issue and room will stay unusable till then.
The quality of service is evident only when you face an exception and here it is clear that wooden street is incapable of handling exceptions.
Would recommend to avoid anything that involves too many parts as they tend to mess things up

Be Careful Before Buying – Poor After-Sales Support

I purchased a sofa-cum-bed from Wooden Street. While the product looked good initially, just a day after installation when I simply rotated the unit as direction was not as per vastu. After about 10 months of normal use, the side panel completely came out of its fitting.
When I raised a warranty request, it was promptly denied. Their reason? “Damage due to location change” – without even inspecting the site or the product. It feels like they are quick to find excuses to deny service rather than provide real support.
This experience left me quite disappointed. The product may look fine, but the build quality and after-sales service are questionable. Be cautious when buying from Wooden Street – their post-sale support is not as reliable as it should be

My experience with Wooden Street HSR has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere. I placed an order with them, and despite explicitly asking the store manager, Prakash, for a worst-case scenario delivery date due to their known delays, he promised delivery within 6 weeks.
We are now well past that date, and my order is nowhere in sight. My attempts to contact Store Manager Prakash have been futile – he consistently ignores my calls. The “customer support” team is equally unhelpful, offering empty reassurances like “ma’am, we are expediting” and even providing a guarantee via email that dispatch would happen in 5 days. That guarantee was a lie; nothing has been dispatched.
To make matters worse, I have repeatedly requested a cancellation and a full refund, and Wooden Street is completely ignoring these requests. They are not processing the cancellation nor addressing my demand for my money back. This is unacceptable and feels like a scam.
Can someone please guide me on how to get my money back from Wooden Street? This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

We bought a 3 seater velvet sofa worth 35k+ and within a week the velvet got rubbed off from multiple places. We contacted the customer care, and all they had to say that it’s standard product and they can’t do anything. Infact they can’t even send anyone to examine whats wrong with it.
Horrible product quality and more horrible product support. Also, don’t trust whatever their sales guy or store manager has to say, they all are just liars and won’t pickup your phone or answer on WA once product is sold.

We had been here looking to purchase dining table and center table for our new apartment. Ratheesh, the representative at the store was very patient & cooperative explaining in detail the variety of products they have. There were lot of options to choose from, we were amazed by the options that they had for teak wood with marble top furnitures. We had been to almost all the renowned furniture stores in this space, but never got the quality with this price point anywhere. Good quality, good design and reasonable price.
One more thing that stands out with this shop is their ability to custom make furnitures based on your needs. Also, they delivered products in time as promised.

Recently bought a new sofa set from Ashley for our new house. Was an excellent experience. The sales person Mr. Vedanand was very good. He was not pushy with the products and was patient with our questions. He personally came over to the house and suggested the best fit sofa for our living room. We went back and forth with different companies but finally settled on Ashley because of the customer experience. The quality and look of the sofa is great and I would recommend both the company and the sales person if anyone is looking for new furniture.

I am going through the WORST EXPERIENCE after ordering from this store and after seeing all other reviews here, looks like many customers have the same issue!!
1. Its been over 2 months since i ordered a dining table and the delivery date has since been DELAYING by more than 1 month!
2. NOBODY RESPONDS TO YOUR CALLS, WHATSAPP MESSAGES or even bothers to reply to calls/ messages or update you on the status. See attached images.
3. The STAFF, STORE MANAGER ARE COMPLETELY CLUELESS about the delivery status and every time you have to go to their store IN PERSON and they ALL LIE and give FALSE PROMISES.
4. They are NEITHER DELIVERING THE PRODUCT NOR RETURNING MY ADVANCE AMOUNT. VERY PATHETIC BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS CUSTOMERS.
Edit 20-may-25: they delivered the dining set 2 days after writing this review. Still didn’t cancel the order as I had asked.
Defect: 1 chair’s leg is bent and I have asked for a replacement and I have been following up since. NO RESPONSE TO CALLS/ WHATSAPP.
Edit 27-May-25: After calling them non-stop many times, they forwarded a soft copy of the bill.
Carpenter is on vacation so even a service visit will take 7-8 days. Till then you can enjoy your defective product!
Tips for potential customers-
DONT EVER BUY from this store unless you want to RUIN YOUR PEACE OF MIND AND HARD EARNED MONEY. Even if you choose to order, DONT PAY ANYTHING UNTIL they deliver everything.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Stay FAR away from Jodhpuri Furniture.
We ordered a cot that was promised to be delivered in 10–15 days. It took over 2.5 months and only arrived after endless follow-ups, false promises, and blatant lies from their team.
And when it finally came? A total disaster.
The cot is defective and unusable. The top frame doesn’t even fit the bed properly. One side is longer, the other is shorter — like it was built by someone who’s never held a measuring tape in their life. It’s clear zero quality control was involved.
And the worst part? The utter lack of accountability. The moment we called to raise a genuine concern, the owner and managers were outright rude, dismissive, and arrogant. They refused to take any responsibility and acted like answering customer calls was a favor.
No ethics. No professionalism. No respect for the customer.
Save yourself the time, money, and mental exhaustion. Do not trust Jodhpuri Furniture with your hard-earned money.

I had purchased a Sheesham wood king-size bed. The bed turned out to be termite-infested, and within few months it started turning into powder. After two months of repeated follow-ups ups they took the bed, and now it has been over a month, and every week we hear new dates, but no resolution.

I am modifying my rating for the store now. I placed order for mattress in November 2024. It took 20 days for delivery and we found out that it was wrong delivery. It took next 20 days struggling for return. It was very disappointing. Again, after assurances from store manager, I placed second order on 20th Dec. after long wait of another 25 + days, they cancelled the order. They initiated the refund for the previous mattress instead of internal adjustment along with the balance payment paid. I never faced such an irresponsible behaviour. Finally, I got my refund after multiple visits to the store. Urban ladder has a huge back end coordination with store and customers, unable to provide clinical support and service. Need a change!

Had purchased a swing and other furniture in the past and experience with those nad been wonderful so far.

I ordered a Sienna curved sofa on June 23, with a delivery date of July 20. I was hesitant to buy the sofa due to the long waiting time, but the store representative assured me that the maximum time was listed because of stock issues and that the sofa would be delivered within three weeks. Trusting his advice, I made the purchase, thinking the worst-case scenario would be delivery on July 20.
On July 20, there was no update or delivery. When I called customer care, they informed me that the product was in Mumbai and would be delivered by July 24. I explained the situation and the long wait, expressing that additional delays were unacceptable. They promised delivery by July 24.
However, July 24 came and went without delivery. I contacted customer care again, and they said it would now arrive by July 29. Today, on July 27, I am writing this review with no confidence that the product will be delivered by July 29.
The store is to blame because they convinced me to buy despite the long waiting time, claiming it would arrive sooner. I understand that delays happen, but the seller should inform the customer. I chose to buy from the store rather than their website, thinking I could reach out to the store for any issues. However, the store has been unhelpful. Fahim, the representative, has not picked up or returned my calls.
So, avoid this store at all costs. Consider shopping elsewhere. This is the green sofa I ordered, which has yet to be deliver.
