My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer 6-7 months back, initially he was having problem in passing urine...we consulted our family physian and he prescribed some test (USG , PSA) , reports were showing enlarged prostate with high PSA level....he referred him to uro oncologist for further treatment. MRI and PET CT scans were done as per doctor's advise with reports confirming the diagnosis for Prostate cancer. Before starting the treatment we took opinions from 2-3 uro oncos but we were not much satisfied with the plan suggestd. With reference from one of my friend we went for consultation with Dr. Raghunath sir, after seeing all reports and noting all details he and him team doctor's councelled us to lower the anxiety and nervosness we were going through. Then they suggested to go for TRUS Biopsy explaing in detail the procedure and how it well help in giving the best possible treatment. After analysing the Biopsy report and other reports in detail we were told about the treatment plan in detail with 6 months of HT followed by surgery for removal of Prostate. Recently my father underwent Robotic surgery for removal of Prostate as per the plan discussed earlier, and he is doing well after successfull surgery. We are very grateful to Dr. Raghunath Sir and his entire team( Dr. Kinju, Dr. Ravi, Dr. Deepak, Dr. Ankit) for taking great care and understanding the feelings of patient and family members during these tough times. The way they guide and explain with confidence at every step provide a sense of relief and mental satisfaction to patient and family members, we feel free to ask and clear any doubts. Paramedical staff (Mr. Sangamesh) needs special mention as he is also very kind and helpful in coordinating with appointments and other issues making it very convenient. Very thankful to Dr. Raghunath sir and his team for taking utmost care post surgery with regular interaction with patient , motivating them and asking for day to day updates. Recently I was having health problems with my prostate. I was told by my urologist doctor, after examination, that the best option in my case was to undergo a 'surgical removal of the prostate by robotic surgery.' A known doctor friend, Dr. Raghu referred me to Dr. S.K. Raghunath of HCG hospital telling me that he is the best. Accordingly consulted Dr. SK Raghunath with all the records and MRI report.He advised that the best option for me is to have prostate removal by robotic surgery. The doctor made us to understand the procedure and its benefits clearly. Before that, his team doctors noted down all the important things in a notebook, a summary case history, for his perusal. On the day of surgery, I was taken to OT in the morning and in the evening I was in the ICU after surgery. I was told that the surgery was a complete success. Extra care and precautions were made in the OT as I am a heart patient too , but by the grace of God nothing unusual happened and I was told that everything was smooth, and as planned. I like the way doctor SK Raghunath explains all the things to me and to my family. His clarity of purpose, confidence in the job to be done, and his down to earth behaviour with us were really amazing. The doctor was so modest, that he used to address all of us as 'sir' Dr.SK Raghunath is a professional surgeon, a very very big surgeon, probably the best in the field, but his humane approach, easy communication, the way he understands the fear and anxiety of patients and gives solution is really great. These are great qualities which are not common to be seen. His team doctors are also very highly qualified,talented and do a very good job as a team. The hospital as a whole, ICU, the ward, and the food, were all of excellent quality.The nursing care provided was also great. Mr Sangamesh the secretary to the doctor, who coordinates with the doctor on all matters, is a very nice gentleman with lot of patience and of very helpful nature.Thanks to him. Even after discharge from the hospital, Dr.S.K. Raghunath, keeps monitoring his patients by way of WhatsApp. It is such a great helpful measure and he answers any concerns or questions from the patients on a daily basis. In conclusion, I consider myself to be very fortunate to have got treatment from Dr SK Raghunath in the HCG Hospital. we all in the family sincerely thank him from the bottom of our hearts. Let there not me any second thoughts as to whom to consult for any Onco Urological issues, or for a robotic surgery, it is surely Dr. SK Raghunath only. Patients are absolutely safe in his hands. Dr.Raghunath and team are the best in town. They explained in detail and help in overcoming the anxiety and stress for the kidney tumour surgery. Wanna thank Dr. Ravi, Dr.Deepak and Dr.Kinju for the frequent visit and guidance. Team performed Robotic radical nephrectomy for a complex kidney tumor and patient is fine now.
