Awesome experience for me and my lil kid to be able to see before brains and internal organs on person and to be able to hold them too. There is ample space for public parking. One thing to note is that the museum remains closed on second Saturday of every month. There is a vending machine at the reception and again toilet maintain at the back. Photography is prohibited inside the room.
Good 1-2 hours of offbeat experience within the city, although it might not be to everyone's taste. There are no charges for any tickets for this experience. There's a project research scientist to explain everything about the brain and museum in detail.

Very informative and good for kids especially if someone is inclined towards studying medicine. They give a small session and explain various parts of human brain and their significance. They also let you touch various specimens, like human brain which you may not get to do else where. They answered all questions patiently and with lot interest. Kudos to them for doing this with lots interest and that too for free. Pls plan to be there by 10:30 as they have the session during that time... BTW it's open for public only on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Different types of brains such as human's, animals like snakes, cats, dogs and hens etc are displayed here to view and understand the shape and functions of brain. Few NIMHANS executives also describes the functions of various human body parts live. People visiting the museum can also touch and feel the organs showcased.

It was amazing to see the Human Brains in the best preservation in the Brain Museum at NIMHANS, Bangalore. A wide range of Healthy and infected brains & hearts are preserved not only for research scholars but also give a chance to an ordinary person like me to understand the most powerful organs of the human body.
It was amazing to have a beautiful conversation with Ms. Shreya (Brain Museum Curator) about human brain and it's functions. She was very polite and dedicated to their work though it was a holiday.
I am thankful to the NIMHANS Security Guard who gave me an opportunity to have a request to the in-charge to make it possible and allow me on holiday to visit it on my third attempt.
