HAL heritage centre and aerospace museum is a good place to visit with family and children. I will not call it extraordinary but still nice, and if you have time you may visit the same. There are photograph gallery depicting photos showcasing development of small combact, trainer, and transport aircraft by HAL. There are some aircraft, helicopter and some aircraft engines on display surrounding the main building. The surroundings are lush green and tranquil. You also have a souvenir shop and a canteen in the vicinity of main building.

Went as a child many years ago and liked the museum. I returned today along with my own child and noticed not much has changed since then. I think they could do a lot to make it more engaging for visitors both young and old. It would make the effort of all the staff there more justified.
The simulator has been out of order for the last one year according to staff at the museum.
The place is clean and well maintained but hasn’t kept up with the times. The souvenir shop hardly has anything to pick up and the cafeteria has no fresh snacks.

Chitrakala Parishat is a renowned school of art in Bangalore, with an enviable alumni list. Located in a tree-lined campus, CKP — as it is popularly known — has a museum, a store and a gallery worth visiting. The gallery has rotating exhibits while the museum has permanent displays of paintings and crafts. CKP comes alive during its much-awaited fests: the annual Handicraft Mela and the Chitra Santhe (art market), both of which provide outlets for artists and craftsmen.
Visit this place when there is an art retrospective of KG Subramanian going on. There are so many options to shop and indulge in. You can easily spend a ton of time and money at this place. Definitely recommend it if you are interested in buying local Indian handicrafts or clothes at reasonable prices.

A must-visit place if you’re keen on art and paintings. I visited this place back in February where there was a major arts exhibition during the month. Be it the main gallery or basement floor gallery, the craftsmanship is seen in all the paintings. They do have paintings for sale which might cost you a lot for the bigger canvas and vice versa. The other main attraction is the handicrafts and colorful textiles of various states of India sold in the exhibition stalls (flea market).

When it comes to art collection, this is the must visit place in Bangalore. Artworks from all over the world have made their home in the heart of the city. Besides artworks and paintings, one can get good stuff for home decor, textiles, hand embroidered kurtis, cushion covers and bed spreads, handmade articles, brass / wooden items, jewelry, antique pieces from various parts of the country. There are various exhibition stalls available for various articles. A minimum of half day can be spent in just going through the display. Renovation work is also going on parallelly. I recently visited this museum and had a wonderful experience! It’s a great place for both kids and adults to explore science and technology in an interactive and fun way.
The museum has multiple floors with exhibits on space, mechanics, biology, engines, electricity, and more. What I really liked was the hands-on approach — you can touch, try, and experience how things work. The Science on a Sphere and engine sections were especially impressive.
Some parts of the museum feel a bit old, but overall it’s well-maintained and informative. I spent a good 2–3 hours here, and it was totally worth it.

One of the best museums I’ve visited in India. Weirdly I had to pay for all the floors separately and I was recommended 2 hours for the entire place. But with my pace where I wanted to read everything, it took about 3-4 hours and I didn’t even have the capacity for one of the floors. But I loved what I saw and read and experienced.

As an architect, the whole experience was good. It’s a must visit place for art fanatics. You are treated every affably and can get a mindful insight of the whole building. No art show or play is fixed around the year, it changes from month to month. The building and it’s surrounding is maintained very neat and clean. It’s a architectural marvel. The interiors are Human centric and the whole building is aur conditioned. You need to buy tickets for particular events, sometimes there are free.
Overall, the overall ambience is really good and soothing.

It’s trippy! you can pick which exhibit you want to see. it has free entry on tuesdays and only after 2 PM..do carry your water bottle you can refill the same inside. It will take you 2-3 hrs to complete all the floors..They have washrooms + all the signage everywhere (from the lifts to the exhibits) had braille!..If you’re an art enthusiast or just looking for a cultural outing, MAP is definitely worth a visit.

フロアごとに異なる展覧会が行われ、一階の受付で見たい展覧会を選んで料金を払うシステムになっています。私がいった際には、「VISIBLE/INVISIBLE」様々なアートに表現された女性に関する展示や「Ticket Tika Chaap」イギリスの植民地時代にインドからの輸出品に貼られた商標マークの展示などが行われていました。展示一箇所につき100ルピーほどだったと思います。
建物もモダンで内装もきれい、展示も洗練されていますので、訪れて損はないかと思います。地下一階にはカフェとロッカー、トイレもあります。

1. We visited this place on a weekend day Sunday. Manageable crowd.
2. Staffs were very helpful starting from the reception. Staffs explained us the science behind every concept/activity.
3. You need to book tickets only through online mode.
4. There was a small group activity for the Children.
5. Staffs explained the concepts. Even few could speak Tamil.
6. Really enjoying for the kids. Children of age group 10 and above would really enjoy. But there is no age restrictions.

Good for kids above 4th standard. Lot of time is wasted in auditorium even after the program. Escape room is good for kids. For kids 8 to 13 years chemistry escape room and for 13+ kids physics escape room is suggested. It’s better to be there by 10 AM if you want to get max. Benifit. 1 to 2 PM closed for lunch. Cafeteria food is OK, Noodles and sandwich is good but lemonoid was too sugary. You can carry food/ snacks from home if you have small kids

It’s a really good place to engage and amaze kids on various science concepts like illusion, chemical lab, magnetic fields, electronics, mechanical and many more. Awesome experience for me and my lil kid to be able to see before brains and internal organs on person and to be able to hold them too. There is ample space for public parking. One thing to note is that the museum remains closed on second Saturday of every month. There is a vending machine at the reception and again toilet maintain at the back. Photography is prohibited inside the room.
Good 1-2 hours of offbeat experience within the city, although it might not be to everyone’s taste. There are no charges for any tickets for this experience. There’s a project research scientist to explain everything about the brain and museum in detail.

Very informative and good for kids especially if someone is inclined towards studying medicine. They give a small session and explain various parts of human brain and their significance. They also let you touch various specimens, like human brain which you may not get to do else where. They answered all questions patiently and with lot interest. Kudos to them for doing this with lots interest and that too for free. Pls plan to be there by 10:30 as they have the session during that time… BTW it’s open for public only on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Government Museum, Bangalore, established in 1865 by the Mysore State with the guidance of Surgeon Edward Balfour who founded the museum in Madras and supported by the Chief Commissioner of Mysore, L.B. Bowring, is one of the oldest museums in India and the second oldest museum in South India. It is now an archaeological museum and has a rare collection of archaeological and geological artifacts including old jewellery, sculpture, coins and inscriptions. Brilliant collection, many original notes and sketches. Shows the evolution of money from ancient times. If you think deeply about it, it’s a humbling experience. However the place itself is too formal. It’s so quiet that you may feel guilty if you talk. Building is very fancy with the OTP and QR code for entry. I don’t think you’ll find any other similar place. One of a kind experience, worth it. Will take about an hour at least to see it. Closes at 05:30, manage time well.

One of the finest museums I have ever seen in india
It is a museum about the history of paper money in india. It’s the personal collection of the co-founder of prestige company-rezwan razack and is situated inside prestige tower itself. The collection is very vast with the money being used during British rule and independent india , being prominently displayed along with letters , albums all relating to the use and propagation of paper money .
– It also has a unique display of fake money used in the james bond film octopussy. And if you could spot out , there’s a letter from the erstwhile king of England explaining that the drawing been made to put into the currency note looks like asif he is wearing a bathrobe , that’s a tiny detail i liked
-photography is not allowed inside the museum ….The museum is one floor wide and is not too big but the way it is displayed and the amount of information for visitors to read is vast enough.
-we spent around 1 hour to 1 hour 15 mins reading each and every information board given , till we felt exhausted.
-it’s a must for bangloreans and tourists who have a free Sunday, to visit this place as it is soo underrated, there was only one other visitor along with us …. if you are not that interested in reading too much and in general aren’t nerdy or get bored in museums , this place Might not be for you. But nonethless it’s interesting to just see how much history does our currency have.
-The museum is inside the prestige towers. In the lobby , we need to update our phone number and other details to get otp and further a QRcode which is needed to enter and exit into the elevators. The staff there were kind enough to have helped us all throughout. Once you reach the 2nd floor , tickets are to be bought from the front desk there , costing 100₹/- per person. Futher they will guide you inside to a televised video wherein rezwan razack themselves would be explaining about the museum which i feel is soo modern.
-i don’t think children of very very young age would be that entertained …. teens and children who are tad-bit older and able to understand the concept, might benefit from this museum as there’s not any physically interactive content but rather more of reading and observing ones …
