I cannot praise the services of the rehab and physiotherapist team at Sakra hospital enough in the care of my mother following her fracture neck of femur. I found the physiotherapist Amitha knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate and caring. She was astute enough to know the needs of the patient and the family and worked well with them. I found her to be responsive and dedicated as well as regular to work. Moreover I found her to be genuinely interested in the progress and welfare of my mother and tried to get her back to her previous level of independence. This proved to be challenging given her previous history of head injury and its sequel . It was refreshing to watch how Amitha’s sustained enthusiasm, and encouragement to get my mother to participate in all the all the exercises. The result of this effort in the form of a rather rapid recovery in a 80 year old with fracture NOF with multiple physical and cognitive problems astounded all. The physiotherapist assigned to me was always punctual. He taught me number of different exercises for shoulders, neck, upper back, lower back, knees, legs, ankles. This essentially covers everything. The exercises helped me in recovery of shoulders and knee problems and also back stiffness. The IFT and ultrasound application was also smooth and comfortable.
