After almost a year, I finally decided to share my pain and trauma. This is not just a review, but a scar that will stay with me forever. I had a 6-month-old kitten named Shira, whom I found on the street. In July 2024, she accidentally jumped from the 2nd floor and got injured. I rushed her to a small vet hospital where they gave her a painkiller and sent her back. Minutes later, she passed blood in her urine, which terrified me. I googled the best nearby vet with ultrasound and x-ray facilities, and found “Bangalore Pet Hospital.” Without seeing any reviews, I just rushed there.
Dr. Vishwas quickly diagnosed Shira with a broken bone in her hip, but no internal bleeding. They suggested surgery to fix the bone, but Shira was so small. I regret agreeing to the surgery badly. I spent around 50k for her two-week. After 3-4 days of admitting when I used to visit Shira she started trying to walk, but the doctors insisted surgery was mandatory. I told them she wasn’t vaccinated because I found her as a stray, but they said they would vaccinate her when she was discharged. I also consulted another clinic that assured me Dr. Lohit was the best for surgery, but I kept asking the doctors if she was strong enough for it.
They said Dr. Lohit had checked Shira and approved the surgery. They never considered how lack of vaccination could affect her ability to survive such major surgery. Early one morning, they called to say Shira’s blood levels were fine, so they would proceed. I regret agreeing to it and would do anything to go back in time and stop the surgery n get my baby back home. Post-surgery, she was coming out of anesthesia, but she seemed too dull. She had gagging reflexes, and when I mentioned this to Dr. Lohit, he asked if she was vaccinated. He had no idea she wasn’t, and I later realized if they had postponed surgery until she was vaccinated, my baby might have survived.
After surgery, Shira stopped eating, and they claimed she had a fatal parvo attack. Three days later, Dr. Lakshmi told me Shira’s white blood count was dangerously low, and she was isolated. That was the last time I saw her alive. I held her on my shoulder, and she meowed loudly, gripping my finger with her paw. I asked Dr. Vishwas if we could arrange blood for her or do anything to save my baby but he said they were giving her injections to raise the count and by morning it’ll increase. Later that night, Dr. Lakshmi called to say Shira’s BP and temperature were dropping, within 5 mins she again called n said shira had seizures, again within 5 mins she called and said shira passed. all this happened while I was crying n on the way, when I reached there I saw my baby dead and she looked like evening when I met her and came right after that only my baby left this world her loud meow was the last I heard her, but Dr Lakshmi lied on call saying just few mins ago she passed away, because her shift was ending and she wanted to just inform me n leave. When I got there, no doctors I knew were present. I took Shira home in tears, comforted by other pet parents. If the doctors had been transparent and told me there was no way to save her, I would have stayed with her during her final moments.
I know Shira passed after I left, and the calls Dr Lakshmi made about her seizures were all lies. I can never return to that hospital, the trauma is too much. I don’t blame the doctors entirely, but I urge you not to admit animals just to make money. You know how strong the medications are and how viruses like parvo can attack when pets aren’t vaccinated. I feel terrible n still regret agreeing for the surgery, the doctors should have postponed surgery or suggested emergency treatments only, my baby would have been alive today.
Money cannot erase this trauma, and no one should go through this. If you’re a pet parent, always seek a second opinion, especially when desperate to save your pet. Don’t blindly agree to treatments without understanding the full risks. I really hope n pray nobody should go through what my shira baby went through.

Worst place to take your dog for grooming. They have overworked labour who do a shabby job, and they don’t care about the order in which the pets are to be called in. They write the name in a book for namesake and call in whoever they see waiting in front of the cabin.
The only reason why you might want to consider them is Dr.Lohit, who is one of the best vets in Bangalore. Other vets don’t even know the basics and can be risky to consult.
They get many dogs for grooming owing to the hospital and Lohit’s popularity, but their grooming section at the basement is no better than a sweatshop churning out low quality work.

We’ve been bringing our precious furball Cookie for 9 years now. Just love the place and the excellent care we’ve always got! Very very reasonable pricing also. One week ago Cookie got poisoned by eating pesticide covered grass and had her liver and kidneys damaged. One week later we have a fully cured active little furball. Some amazing amazing care by Dr Lohith and his team of wonderful doctors and support staff at Bangalore Pet Hospital. The doctors and professors are very knowledgeable. My dog was on the verge of dying. We went to multiple hospitals. None of the doctors were able to diagnose the actual problem. My Doberman became 18kg . The doctors from this hospital were properly diagnosed and did the hernia surgery which was very complicated with less survival rate. The surgery was a success, he recovered and gained his original weight back. We are truly grateful. Thanks to all the hardworking doctors. You are a savior.

It’s a good place, however it’s open only for a few hours that too just early mornings, I would request to open it in the evening as well (not all pet owners can bring their baby’s earliest in the morning.

Doctors and students are very professional and courteous. In fact we had to euthanize our dog today and the students who helped us were amazing, sensitive and courteous. I wish they opened an evening clinic too for our furry friends.

They are a blessing to the pets and the pet owners of all kind. I had a very good experience with them. The treatment here is free. If you plan your visit and get in the queue by 8:00am, you will be out by 9:30am. The charges are nominal even for tests. You also get the benefit of opinions from different doctors. This way you can be relieved that your pet is getting the right treatment. They are a zillion times better than the CUPAs of the world.

The place to go for your furry friend or any pet. It’s a place of knowledge bearing members and not money making place. So with that objective in mind they bear their thrust towards the same objective. All the vet docs are in close working co-ordination with each other and especially the P.hd docs who despite their plethora of knowledge and experience still cross tally with the senior most doctor on shift. With that multiple level check and balances there’s hardly a doubt that would remain in the patient mind for any thing to go grossly wrong. Only suggestion if they could also provide with the pharmacy within the campus itself, it would be far far convenient for all the animal kingdom. I Visited with my GSD on 16 Jan 24. Will update on her recovery post medical course completion recommended by the docs.

The staff was horrendous and the doctor seemed scared to handle our cat herself.
The support staff held her down with harsh force leeding to a wound and bleeding, which has become an infection.
Its sad how the place is, very unsanitary, especially for a hospital.
There is no sense of responsibility or authenticity.
They have no regard for your family member or your emotions.
I would strongly recommend against taking your loved ones here. There are many more better options, better priced as well if finance is a concern.

We lost our beloved cat due to rushed and careless treatment.
I brought my cat here after he had been injured and missing for 4 days. Despite being badly hurt, he was urinating on his own and had signs of life — hope.
They gave fluids and stabilized him in the first day,
But on the next day, the senior vet advised us to wait and allow the wound to settle before any invasive procedure and to observe under antibiotics.
But another vet overrode that and pushed for immediate debridement without proper imaging or evaluation of internal injury. She ignored the advice and went ahead anyway.
The wound was near the bladder and penis, and yet only a basic X-ray was done. No ultrasound. No urine test. No internal damage assessment. Just assumptions and overconfidence — with a life on the line.
When I brought him home after the procedure, he was unresponsive. Struggling to breathe. He never moved from where I laid him on the bed. I rushed him back — and the same vet who had done the procedure was not even present. The others told me they couldn’t feel the bladder, and just stood there. He was fighting to breathe, they just gave oxygen and said we can’t do anything now since he’s already critical. They couldn’t help. I was left there with my dying cat in my arms — and I had to ask for euthanasia.
I’ve gone through this memory a thousand times, trying to understand why someone would ignore the advice of a senior surgeon and gamble with a life that was already so fragile. Maybe it was ego, maybe negligence, I don’t know. But the result was irreversible. My boy was gone.
A soul I raised from a baby, who trusted me with every fiber of his being, died because someone didn’t listen… didn’t wait… didn’t care enough.
I trusted this clinic during the most critical hours of his life. And instead of support, all I got was silence, absence, and a rushed decision that cost him everything.
If you’re reading this as someone looking for medical care for your pet — please don’t take the word “treatment” lightly. Your pet is not just another case file. Ask questions. Demand explanations. Don’t let credentials blind you to the fact that some professionals treat animals like machines, not beings.
And to the vet who did the surgery:
If you’re reading this, I truly hope you reflect on the weight of your choices. What you see every day may have made you numb — but to someone like me, that one animal was the world. You don’t get to experiment or override careful advice when a life is on the line. You don’t get to walk away from the grief that’s left behind.
My boy didn’t deserve this.
What hurts most is that he was improving, trying. He trusted us. He was my companion. He didn’t deserve to die because someone wanted to prove themselves. When vets treat lives like experiments, this is what happens.
This hospital may help others, but my experience was devastating. I lost not just a pet — but a soul that meant the world to me. I truly hope no one else has to go through what I did.

Extremely Disappointed with Dr. Niraj Kumar at Jeeva Pet Hospital
I had a deeply upsetting experience with Dr. Niraj Kumar at Jeeva Pet Hospital. My dog Jenny underwent a neutering surgery on 24th April 2024. She was perfectly healthy before the procedure. Just two days after the surgery, she began showing signs of pseudopregnancy — something that should not happen post-neutering. When we raised this with Dr. Niraj, he brushed it off as “normal” and gave no further explanation.
Eight months later, Jenny started bleeding — a symptom that should never occur after a successful spay. Since Dr. Niraj was unavailable, we took her to another vet. An ultrasound revealed that both ovary tissues had been left behind during the original surgery. This is not a minor mistake — it’s a clear case of surgical negligence.
Worse still, Jenny has now been diagnosed with stump pyometra, a serious and potentially fatal infection caused by retained ovary tissue. The only solution is another surgery, far more complicated and risky, to find and remove the leftover tissue. All of this was entirely avoidable had the initial surgery been done correctly.
Leaving ovary tissues behind in a routine spay is unacceptable. It shows a lack of care and professionalism that has now endangered my pet’s life. I’m writing this so no other pet parent has to go through what we are going through.
I do not recommend Dr. Niraj Kumar or Jeeva Pet Hospital. Please be cautious before trusting them with your pet.

Sometime back I found a puppy who was in such dire condition that when I took her to Cessna, I was given option of euthanasia. However, we concluded life and death to be god’s choice and to do what best we can do for her.
Here I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Rosa Patil and Dr. Arjun V, as they cared and treated her like one of their own. I can say this as intent is truly reflected in smallest of gestures.
The first day, because of severity of the situation she was attended right away. Dr. Rosa Patil was kind and compassionate to explain to me her condition and the treatment that will follow. She had suffered serious injury to her face and her wounds has been affected by maggots, causing her to loose sight in both her eyes.
Second day, Dr. Arjun V treated her. Till that time she was known as stray puppy. The first thing that Dr. Arjun told me that it doesn’t feel good to call her stray now, and we should choose a name for her. This shows the integrity of the doctor and his passion towards his work.
After 3 days of flushing out the maggots, they scheduled regular checkup for her to monitor the progress.
None the less, after two weeks, she is healthy and healing very fast, and currently jumping on me to play with her.
At the end, I would say that not only the doctors who attended her. The staff at the reception, the nursing staff with the doctors and other hospital staffs, all of them were very empathetic about the situation and were as happy as me seeing improvement in her.
Doctors medically helped her. Non medical staff supported us with their kind words, and the institution financially helped by giving discount on the bill for her being a stray.
At the end, if I have to summarize my experience in a sentence, I can only say that I owe a very deep sense of gratitude towards Cessna.
P.S:- She is not a stray any more, neither she is blind. She has gained at least little vision, which is more then enough for her to lead a happy life.

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs!
Sanchu Pet Hospital in Koramangala is by far the worst and dirtiest pet hospital I have ever seen. The way they treat animals is nothing short of disgusting—it’s as if they’re handling lifeless objects, not living, breathing pets. They have zero care, zero compassion, and zero professionalism.
And the reception is the so so rude the moment entered the hospital thy behaviour and speech is worst and charged extra
Their grooming services are a complete nightmare. I urge every pet owner in Bangalore to personally check how they treat animals before leaving their pets here. What we experienced was horrifying, and I wouldn’t wish it on any pet or pet parent.
The towels are the very very dirty and for shower the put the cats in cage and use a very sharp water flow and the grooming room is the so so dirty attaching pics
And the icing on the cake we being pet owners despite paying good money had to assist the groomer while shower and trimming
If you love your pet, do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from this place!

I recently visited Sanchu Animal Hospital for a consultation and spa treatment for my cat, and I’m very pleased with the experience. The staff were extremely professional, kind, and clearly passionate about animal care. The consultation was thorough — the vet took time to explain everything in detail and answered all my questions patiently.
The spa service was also excellent. My cat came back clean, calm, and noticeably more relaxed — which says a lot, considering how fussy she usually is! The facility was clean, well-organized, and had a calming environment.

Utterly disappointed with Dr Anirudh and the whole staff in handling cataract surgery of my dog. The 1 star is only because Dr Anirudh is patient and listens to all the concerns.
My dog was treated for cataract here and he almost lost his vision and was about to lose his life only because of Dr negligence. Dr damaged his eyes during cataract and he has cloudiness and vision loss in his right eye. He left the “dissolvable sutures” in there which didnt go away for a month after surgery. He stopped eating as it was bothering him a lot and lost 2kgs(he weights 5kgs). I repeatedly checked with Dr but he said its normal and didnt bother for a serious follow up.
He gave him new insulin called Mixtard and he was lethargic and sleepy and weak because of it. I changed Dr and now go to Cessna which is much better and has much more empathetic, knowledgable doctors.
I regret the day when I decided to choose this hospital for his surgery but I am happy I found Cessna before it was too late.

Would give 5 star because the doctors are amazing, but dropped 2 stars because the receptionists are little brainless. Shafiya and muskan were asking for 7 days deposit for 24 hours boarding which is really brainless and unreasonable. Added to that nobody fed my 2 dogs despite paying an advance and they came home at 10:30 pm hungry. Not to mention nobody checked my older dog that was there in the cage for her sickness and she was dead and I had to discover her dead body. The doctors are fantastic but the support staff really need some common sense and upgrade in behaviour. So yes it’s the correct place for a diagnosis and I will continue going here but I won’t use the boarding services. Adding to this would like to state I DONT BLAME THE DOCTORS FOR THE DEATH OF MY OLDER DOG because she did suffer from severe old age kidney failure so I did expect her to die but not to be the first one to see it when I brought my other 2 ones for daycare boarding.

I had a terrible experience at Dr. Santa. Everyone there seemed more focused on making money than actually caring for animals.
I took my pregnant Persian cat to this hospital because she was having red discharge, which could be a sign of miscarriage. The hospital staff asked us to do an ultrasound, which is common. However, the results they gave were shocking. They told us that out of four kittens in her womb, two were mummified and that she needed immediate surgery.
Before this, I noticed a woman secretly talking to the doctor, trying to convince them to push me into agreeing to the surgery. I overheard their conversation, which made me suspicious. They asked us to pay 25 ,000 immediately for the surgery. I had doubts about their intentions, so I refused.
I then took my cat to another hospital, and to my surprise, the new scan showed that she actually had six healthy kittens! The previous hospital had misled us. Worse, at Dr. Santa, they had forcefully given her an injection to induce labor pain, which was completely unnecessary and only worsened her condition.
I strongly advise pet owners to be cautious before trusting this hospital.

Extremely disappointed and heartbroken with the carelessness at this hospital. Despite repeatedly informing the doctors that my dog had been vomiting continuously for weeks, no proper diagnostic tests were conducted—even though all the necessary equipment was available. Instead, medication was given without identifying the actual cause. Dr. Rakshit and Dr. Manoj suggested treatments that, if properly diagnosed earlier, could have prevented the situation from worsening. Unfortunately, due to their negligence, the condition escalated to pneumonia, and I lost my beloved pet. A life could have been saved with timely and responsible care. This experience has left me devastated.

We had a fantastic experience with Dr. Kashyap, who recently performed surgery on our one-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, Juno. From the very beginning, his kind and gentle demeanour put us at ease during what could have been a stressful time. Be really careful when you go here I took my cocker spaniel here for gastric problem they gave her too many medicines after which the dog was completely down, so I took a second opinion from an other doctors and I was advice that this was done only for money .

I am writing this review after a year of deep grief, trauma, and careful reflection—because only now do I feel ready to speak up.
In July 2024, I took two of my beloved cats to Cartman Hospital for neutering. Being a first-time pet parent, I trusted the hospital and its staff blindly. I was asked to leave them and assured that I’d be updated once the procedures were done. A few hours later, I was devastated to receive a call informing me that my female cat had passed away during sedation—even before surgery could begin.
Despite this, the team went ahead and performed the surgery on my other cat without informing me or giving me a choice to reconsider. That alone speaks volumes about their approach and ethics.
There was no proper pre-surgical assessment—only a basic blood count was done. No LFT, no KFT, no ECG, no physical examination. None of the necessary precautions were taken. At the time, I didn’t know better. But after spending months understanding what should have been done, it’s clear that this tragic loss was avoidable.
When I questioned Dr. Vidya after my pet’s death, I was given a vague and dismissive excuse—that “it could have been a heart-related issue” or “some cats just can’t tolerate sedation.” No real explanation, no ownership, and no empathy.
To make matters worse, my second cat had a visible entropion eye condition with a corneal ulcer, which they failed to acknowledge or treat. I was instead advised to put him on a weight reduction plan. I later took him to another hospital, where he received immediate and appropriate care—and finally got relief.
The negligence, lack of compassion, and careless attitude from both Dr. Vidya and the staff at Cartman Hospital have left me with a permanent emotional wound. My pet didn’t just die—she was failed by those I trusted to protect her.
This is not a hasty complaint. It is a reflection that comes from a full year of mourning, research, and processing the trauma. I only hope that no other pet parent has to go through what I did. Please be aware, ask questions, and never feel afraid to demand proper care for your animals.

I took my cat for a checkup. Doctors and staff were very friendly, everything is under budget. Checkup, x-ray and an injection just costed me 550 bucks. I would definitely recommend Cartman if u need ur pet needs medical attention.
Update:
I took my cat for spaying and I am very happy with the surgeon. The incision was tiny which helps in quick healing. There is lodging facility as well and it costed just 300 per day. I kept my cat there for 5 days after operation.
They fed her whiskas and cage was clean(photo attached). It’s been 1 n half month and She is now healthy and happy kitty.
Note: make sure u vaccinate ur pet and wait 15 days before spaying or operation. It will keep ur pet safe from parvo n other virus.
